Provides a lifetime warranty, is reliable, has good technical support, and includes security features
The stability is excellent. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Even if you're going through a difficult patch. If there is a failure in that scenario, it is very minor. We were never encountered that, but If it happens, it's probably due to a web party, such as a power fluctuation. Even our power supply includes a hardware replacement. As a result, there are no issues with the even power supply's lifetime warranty. In the general market, other competitor products, the power supply will not be covered, even though we are covering the power supply with a hardware replacement warranty. Which is where we have an advantage. Security features are included.

It's cheap and easy to use but isn't suitable for large deployments or complex use cases
Ubiquiti isn't as good for larger networks as any of the other wireless solutions. It lacks performance, coverage, and some of the advanced capabilities other solutions have. Take, for example, integration with FortiNAC. Cisco, HP, and the other big names can move devices from one wireless subnet to another with FortiNAC on the fly, but Ubiquiti cannot. When we connect them to this special network, I have to turn them off and on, disconnect them from the wireless, and then reconnect. Then, it can be put into the correct location, but that's it. It's a small thing, but it's noticeable, It's hard to describe it in terms an end user would understand, but on the back end, it lacks some of those capabilities. It's not a true large enterprise solution. They're fantastic for small and medium-sized businesses, especially for the price, and they perform well when needed. For my part, I would actually like to move to something more appropriate for the size of our network, but again, Ubiquiti is so cheap.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When you go on the website, everything is clear and you don't have to ask questions."
"The tool can work without distributor architecture or seller access points."
"The stability is excellent."
"Ubiquiti is about money. If you don't have the budget for IT, you go with Ubiquiti."
"The UniFi Controller Software provides excellent statistical and monitoring facilities."
"I have found the most valuable features to be how user-friendly it is and how simple it is to do the configurations."
"Ubiquiti wireless proves especially helpful in scenarios requiring mobility."
"In general, the setup process is straightforward."
"The range is usually pretty good, which is the most important thing to use because more or less, all wireless access points are the same."
"I like the fact that you can set it up like a wireless connection. Previously, we used to connect from one SSID to another. When we started using Ubiquiti, everyone was so happy because even if they moved from one place or another, say from the pantry to a meeting room, they didn't need to connect manually to another SSID. This is one of the features that I really like about it. It is doing a great job. It offers a free controller that you can use to see if the devices are connected or not and if they are up or down."
"The 3x3 MIMO antenna provides excellent coverage and the product is well supported by Ubiquiti in terms of firmware updates."

Cons

"I would like to see something for remote working."
"The price could be reduced."
"Alcatel-Lucent Teldat needs to reduce its price."
"It's hard to get stuff delivered on time."
"Ubiquiti Wireless could improve stability."
"One of the Ubiquiti access points broke down, and it can't be used. It's still down now, so overall Ubiquiti hasn't been a good experience for me."
"Its stability could be better."
"Ubiquiti Wireless could improve by being more user-friendly and easy to use."
"We'd like them to improve aspects of device management."
"We tried to create an access point with built-in voice and sound that we could use in schools, for example. We tried to create something that could play sounds or messages out of the access points. We wanted to, for example, use it as a school bell instead of using other equipment. It didn't work very well. It turns out when you connect to the Ubiquiti Wireless access point, it's not possible to send simple messages (like what is going on in the canteen, or some news update for the school, etc.). We had to use the on-premises version, as the cloud version wouldn't allow for this."
"Better third-party integration would be helpful because often, Ubiquity is a product that customers choose after they already have something else from another vendor like HPE."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution's licensing costs are one-time. It is not expensive. I rate its pricing a four out of ten. It provides us with a lifetime warranty."
"I don't find this solution expensive but pricing is relative."
"There is a one-time licensing fee. There is no need to renew it."
"Ubiquiti Wireless is a cheaply priced product."
"I like the fact that it offers enterprise features at a cheap price. If you compare it with Cisco, it has most of the features that Cisco has been offering but at a lesser price. I am satisfied with its price."
"The price is reasonable and there's only a one-time payment. We have had this for a long time and I haven't seen any additional fee after paying for the installation."
"Its price is more attractive when compared to competitor pricing."
"Ubiquiti Wireless is affordable."
"Once you purchase the solution the license is included."
"For €100, you have Wi-Fi and you don't have to worry about a license."
"The product is expensive."
