Offers customization and flexibility with great support
Scalability depends on whether the client wants to scale up or scale down. It decreases resources based on demand. The great aspect of scalability is the flexibility to allow business success to optimize resource solutions and cost efficiency. Another crucial aspect of scalability is auto-scaling. When you have the opportunity to auto-scale, it can't always be available for everything. If you have chosen to integrate with auto-scaling, it's marvellous and doesn't require additional effort. Auto-scaling gives you the edge by using the capacity you have efficiently, scaling up or down as needed. These flexibilities within the EC2 feature instances of AWS play a crucial role in helping me utilize AWS EC2 Intelligent efficiently.

The tool enables effective data transformation and integration
There are some areas for improvement, particularly with record-level tasks that take a bit of time. The quality of JSON data processing could be improved, as JSON workloads require manual conversions without a specific process. Enhancing features related to alerting would be helpful, including mobile alerts for pipeline issues. Integration with mobile devices for error alerts would simplify information delivery.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would recommend this solution to others who want to start using it."
"This is a user-friendly solution."
"The tool's performance, reliability, security and flexibility are good. We can use it remotely. The autoscaling functionality of EC2 is quite good. I appreciate the DevOps suite for tracking development tasks. This functionality is important for pure software development."
"Amazon EC2's flexibility and ease of configuration were found to be very valuable."
"The most valuable features of Amazon EC2 are ease of use and the services offered."
"Amazon EC2 allows us to create different regions and availability zones based upon application needs."
"The most valuable feature is EC2 is scalable, so when you want to move to market, you don't need to wait until your provision is fast, you can just go and provision it and then easily install your application."
"My company uses the tool for cloud monitoring. We have a production, staging, deployment, and testing environment in AWS. However, we do not use the managed service of AWS yet. My team uses the required parameters for security like VPC, firewall, gates of security as well as the external layer of the app."
"The most valuable features of this solution are ease of use and implementation."
"Apache NiFi is user-friendly. Its most valuable features for handling large volumes of data include its multitude of integrated endpoints and clients and the ability to create cron jobs to run tasks at regular intervals."
"It's an automated flow, where you can build a flow from source to destination, then do the transformation in between."
"Visually, this is a good product."
"The user interface is good and makes it easy to design very popular workflows."
"The most valuable feature has been the range of clients and the range of connectors that we could use."
"We can integrate the tool with other applications easily."
"The initial setup is very easy. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, where one point is difficult, and ten points are easy."

Cons

"Amazon EC2 could improve by having integration with other cloud systems, such as Azure, and Google Cloud which would be good. Additionally, having integration with on-premise systems would be appreciated."
"Regional acceleration could improve. If I am hosting a website and I want the experience to be faster they should have this feature to allow for increased speeds."
"One of the things that need to be looked into is the complex pricing, which is rather intense."
"Amazon EC2 could improve the console view. The ability to see the console view directly would be helpful, similar to what VMware has. Additionally, when the system is rebooting we are able to see a screenshot of the UI, but it would be a lot better if we could interact directly with the console level."
"The availability and response time of the free technical support can be improved."
"An area for improvement in Amazon EC2 is the cost because it's a bit higher than competitor pricing."
"Currently in the autoscaling process if we have multiple issues we are not able to connect some of the VPC through the SMS."
"They should fix the key pair name functionality and provide the ability to assign multiple key pair names to an EC2 instance. It is a key pair feature, and it provides you the ability to actually log into the server. It is basically like a password. In terms of new features, it should have the ability to increase and decrease the instance size based on certain times of the day. We should be able to do this without turning off the EC2 instance. Currently, you have to turn it off and then turn it back on. It should also have HTTPS or SSL integration."
"The quality of JSON data processing could be improved, as JSON workloads require manual conversions without a specific process."
"There are some claims that NiFi is cloud-native but we have tested it, and it's not."
"The tool should incorporate more tutorials for advanced use cases. It has tutorials for simple use cases."
"We run many jobs, and there are already large tables. When we do not control NiFi on time, all reports fail for the day. So it's pretty slow to control, and it has to be improved."
"I think the UI interface needs to be more user-friendly."
"There should be a better way to integrate a development environment with local tools."
"The overall stability of this solution could be improved. In a future release, we would like to have access to more features that could be used in a parallel way. This would provide more freedom with processing."
"The use case templates could be more precise to typical business needs."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of this solution is variable. There is an open-source variant that is accessible via the public cloud, and then tiers that range in price depending on the level and amount of usage that is required."
"The clients have found the billing of Amazon EC2 good, but the price could be less high. There is a monthly subscription to use the solution."
"It's competitive but can vary based on instance types and usage patterns."
"For our usage, the cost is approximately $20,000 to $23,000 per month."
"The use of Amazon EC2 does not incur any licensing fees."
"Amazon EC2 is a very expensive solution."
"When we did the deployment of Amazon EC2 we found it to be less expensive than other solutions."
"The tool's pricing is not cheap."
"The solution is open-source."
"I used the tool's free version."
"We use the free version of Apache NiFi."
"It's an open-source solution."
