Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"This boosts the customer confidence and experience. When the customer experience increases, obviously sales will increase.""I consider the verification station very useful because it allows you to quickly check if the data extracted are correct or if you need to change the process.""All the data that comes in has to be QC'd. Automation Anywhere helps us by automating the QC part.""I like working with most of the commands in Automation Anywhere, such as object cloning commands. I like MetaBot for automating Citrix.""None of the commands are unique to Automation Anywhere, which allows beginners to leverage external knowledge.""I love the Bot Store. I encourage a lot of my staff to use it, because it changes the game and the time that it takes to build automation. It has a lot of reusable things that you can use off the bat.""We can access it anywhere. E.g., I can access dashboard from my Control Room on my mobile app using Automation Anywhere.""Our development time has been reduced because the solution is very user-friendly."

"The initial setup is easy. It's easy to configure.""Code testing is the most valuable feature of this solution for developing software.""The interface is easy to use.""Visual Studio Test Professional's most valuable feature is the rich IDE for doing code and test development.""The user interface is very friendly.""The most valuable feature is the in-built support for C# and .NET projects.""One of the best documentation in the world.""Easy to use and easily scalable."

Cons
"We have a lot of use cases that depend on certain Java applets, and currently we're not able to leverage the Object Cloning that would speed up our automation designing. So we have to revert to more image recognition-type of designing, and it just takes a long time to get that bot built.""I suggest having more ways to perform string manipulations and string operations, instead of just what is pre-defined in the V11 tool.""The initial implementation of Automation Anywhere regarding the elastic search and database set connection can be a little difficult. However, I am skilled enough to get through it. There were some balancing issues that my other team members had to manage. They are having difficulty in balancing when I checked the architecture properly. We determined later that there was no need for a load balance to be done on the servers. We didn't do any load balancing and then the elastic search was not done.""We have encountered some issues in the actions like Terminal Emulator-> Send Key -> Page Down/Up not working.""The initial setup was a bit difficult and took more time than expected.""It would be useful to have some updates for the control room in terms of analytics.""It needs to have more options for integrating with other tools.""Unwanted windows are popping up. We have to train a bot to recognize the window if it comes up, know what it is, and click it. If it is interrupting our bot, I just want to avoid that window, because I am getting failed logs."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"I would appreciate some enhancements in the interface, maybe adding more color options.""Its UI could be better.""Sometimes, the solution hangs, so its performance could be improved.""There are too many features with the product and I would like there to be less.""The solution’s stability could be improved.""The documentation is limited.""The integration with Git needs improving because it is a bit disjointed and unpredictable.""The product must provide more automation."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "For the cloud services option, you buy a subscription per account or per user. This costs around $52 a month per person."
  • "I think that the pricing is quite good."
  • "The pricing is expensive."
  • "We pay for the solution annually and the price could be reduced."
  • "There is a paid version of the solution as well as a community version that is free."
  • "Visual Studio Test Professional is a very expensive solution."
  • "The tool is expensive in my region."
  • "We pay a yearly licensing fee for Visual Studio Test Professional, which is expensive."
