Simplify compliance and management of multiple backups with centralized cloud solutions
AWS Backup could benefit from including more services. Currently, it only includes around ten services, while AWS offers over three hundred plus services. Also, it would be helpful if AWS Backup could integrate logs more thoroughly. This would allow not only new users but also experienced users to more easily check logs directly from AWS Backup.

Reliable rollback features for smooth IT operations and an easy setup
We are using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to take backups of shop floor PCs. I use it for clients locally, particularly for critical machines. It is also used globally for server-side backups and includes scheduling features like taking ten backups every Sunday when the factory is closed. This…

"The most valuable features we have found are the flexibility in the services offered."
"The solution has an effective overwrite feature."
"AWS Backup is secure and comes with a vault that ensures data is never deleted, offering great security."
"The most valuable feature is that we don't need different agents to back up our files from different accounts."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is its performance. Additionally, the user interface and documentation are easy to use and navigate."
"The product offers good stability."
"The most valuable feature is the built-in integration with Office 365, which helps us protect email accounts and servers. We use it on virtual servers on the cloud with Azure, or we can use an agent on physical servers."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the replication functionality."
"Veaam technical support, from my perspective, is one of the best technical support I've ever engaged with."
"Veeam makes modular solutions, so you can install Veeam Backup for Office 365 and Veeam Backup and Replication in one single server. You can do an all in one installation, and roll it out."
"The support offered by both Veeam and our third party supplier is excellent."

Cons

"If AWS could also add some hybrid cloud features to AWS Backup, that would be a significant improvement. For example, currently, AWS Backup only backs up to the S3 and Amazon Cloud, and you can only restore from the Amazon Cloud only. However, some people have hybrid environments. They have some workloads on-premises and some workloads in the cloud."
"Only the price could be improved."
"One of the limitations of AWS Backup is that it only does file-based copying."
"There are some limitations to partial backup in AWS Backup."
"When it comes to encrypting data, it is not so convenient."
"There are multiple enhancements needed in terms of compatibility with all database services, as AWS Backup is currently limited to specific ones."
"The service disconnects a lot."
"To create a plan and for all the configuration, one has to do multiple steps, which could be organized in a much simpler way, making the user experience better."
"In the next release, it should have direct export to tape drive abilities and NDMP support."
"They can provide a dashboard for sizing. This feature might get included in the next release."
"While Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is a highly convenient product, there is room for improvement in its integration with Microsoft 365."
"If you use a device to back up with compression and duplication, the solution doesn't work."
"The capacity storage is a challenge everywhere in the backup industry. The general feedback people are coming back to about this is that there is no deduplication based on it."
"I would like Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to increase the speed to reduce the backup time."
"The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good."
"One area that needs improvement is the pricing of Veeam Backup, as it can be expensive at $28 per user for one year."

"The clients pay for the whole AWS bundle. It is an affordable solution."
