Provides us with a way to instantly recover data
The only thing I would like to see covered in future updates is the possibility to store yearly or quarterly backups. Currently, you can only set a straight timeline, like 35 days backward or 37 days. It means that if you create a backup each day, you can only have a consecutive set of backups. I would prefer a new user feature to create yearly backups, for instance, and store them in the image with the current backup data. The API uses a common data image to store the data for the sets, but unfortunately, it's limited to consecutive sets only. That's the only limitation I have observed so far.

There is room for improvement in the replication interface and functionality. Every time you open a remote site, you need to sign in again. Ideally, single sign-on after integrating with vCenter should provide secure credentials that avoid re-entering passwords for every remote site access. It takes time every single time. It has a ton of features, but ease of use could be improved. It gets better with automatic configuration over time, adapting to access. If you bring in a storage test application, maybe an automatic plug-in to the adapter, say for HPE or other storage providers, would be helpful. We wouldn't have to go to the provider's sites to download them. The product itself is smooth, but timing issues arise due to replication lags in multiple areas. When this happens, we encounter errors. In our most recent environment, we left the virtual machines running at the recovery site, hoping to avoid redeployment.

"Vembu software runs on a Windows Server. The Windows Server has to be connected to the internet so it can connect with Vembu’s servers. It has to connect with Vembu. For some reason, if it doesn't connect, it stops working, and I don't know why on earth they do that. They require it to connect to the internet and connect with Vembu for it to continue to function. If the internet is down or if the server can't reach the internet, it stops working after a few days. That's not great because there are some people who want to do backups but they don't want to have their server accessible on the internet."
"The process is a bit cumbersome when you remove an agent, delete that job, and add the agent to the same server. Even though the agent is already installed in that server, the system does not recognize it. We have to uninstall the current agent, restart the server, install the push agent - a new agent - and then restart the server. I think they should try to avoid that."
