Advanced protection has secured critical web workloads and provides clear traffic visibility
From a security perspective, there remains a security loophole, as some browsers in the market can bypass the Turnstile solution, which requires approximately 40 seconds to do so. From a performance perspective, this is acceptable. We also tried Google reCAPTCHA, and that can also be bypassed. From a security perspective, I would say neither solution is completely secured. Regarding uptime, we have faced a couple of incidents due to Cloudflare in recent years, so I cannot say we receive 100% uptime for our region. We sometimes face challenges, including downtime and other issues. As a result, we are not receiving 100% uptime from Cloudflare's solution. Since most of our customers are in this region, we need alternatives. We need something more competitive than Cloudflare. Unfortunately, in Bangladesh, Cloudflare has three points of presence already, and we cannot find any other solution provider in Bangladesh as an alternative, which presents another challenge. Competitor solutions have more attack signatures, which ensure better security compared to Cloudflare's predefined configurations. Customers do not have options to modify any configuration parameters in Cloudflare, whereas other competitor solutions, such as F5 Distributed Cloud, allow customers to tune configurations according to their requirements. Cloudflare could improve in this area. Additionally, regarding visibility, Cloudflare has static visibility, but they could adopt dynamic graph features for their customers.

The best features that Check Point DDoS Protector offers, which stand out to me the most, are real-time detection and mitigation of application-layer DDoS attacks, easy integration with the existing Check Point security infrastructure, and low latency protection that does not disrupt legitimate traffic. The centralized console makes it easy to manage policy across devices, and the integration is straightforward since it works seamlessly with Check Point firewall and management and other security products. Check Point DDoS Protector has positively impacted my organization by improving uptime, reducing incidents, and providing cost savings. It will reduce the incidents up to 30%.

Advanced protection has optimized web and API performance while reducing infrastructure costs
From the features perspective and functionality-wise, there are areas of Radware DDoS that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future. Version upgrades are being provided, but they should communicate with clients about these new features being available so clients can test them and deploy them on the disaster recovery system before moving to the live segment. There should be a test report that will provide confidence that the version is stable and everything will work properly. Last time we faced an issue with a version upgrade, and we faced extensive troubleshooting with littile bit more time in the troubleshooting process. It turned out to be a small issue that was resolved by the engineering team. I would like to see improved support from Radware DDoS. Sometimes in support, we have to log the call with their support partners rather than Radware. After ten years of experience, we know exactly what the issue is, and we understand that it cannot be handled by their support channel or partner level. Radware team always asks us to go through the partners, but sometimes we have found that the issue cannot be handled by the partners. After the partners fail to resolve the issue, it goes to the Radware team. At that time, one to two days of required timeline gets increased by one to two days. If Radware came into immediate action and resolved the issue rather than relying on their service partners, it would be better. After ten years, we have the knowledge of troubleshooting, and we understand that the issues we are facing with Radware can only be resolved by their team. However, due to their policy, they insist we move through the partner first, and only after the partner fails do they escalate to Radware. During that troubleshooting period of twenty-four to forty-eight hours, we remain in an unresolved state with the reported issue.

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare DNS is security."
"The technical support on offer is excellent; they are very helpful and responsive, and we are quite happy with the level of service they provide to their customers."
"Its most significant benefit to date is the speed with which it refreshes DNS records on the internet once you change it. If you are changing a website or registering a new record, it is very quick."
"The solution is very good at mitigating threats."
"The attacker won't have details since my public IP is anonymous. It offers us good privacy."
"The solution is a great fit for customers who want unlimited bandwidth."
"DDoS attacks target unprotected machines. Cloudflare detects and stops these attacks using internal systems. It identifies incoming DDoS attacks, issuing challenges or blocking them immediately."
"We're partners with Cloudflare; this solution is the best product and it does not charge you for any kind of attack on your traffic, only for good traffic, and it can mitigate up to 30 TBPS of DDoS attacks."
"Check Point detects and automatically mitigates attacks, which helps our organization protect our infrastructure."
"The initial setup takes two hours."
"This solution has improved our internet security and external security; Check Point is a good product that has improved a lot of security rules, resulting in fewer security incidents and fewer viruses while improving our operations and overall security."
"Currently, we have fewer incidents with viruses. We improved our IQ operations and security using this solution. Our company's better after using Check Point."
"Now, all the ISP lines are protected and we can switch the users back and forth between them with the same level of security."
"Check Point DDoS Protector has positively impacted my organization by improving uptime, reducing incidents, and providing cost savings."
"The is a really low level of the false-positive alerts (when the clean traffic is marked as DDoS) due to some advanced techniques used by Check Point under the hood."
"Check Point is one of the solutions that give us the most value, and they are constantly innovating."
"The initial setup is simple, the deployment should take no more than one or two days, and the support from Radware is very helpful."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's not overly expensive."
"Radware DDoS's behavior-based detection technology is the best thing I have, as I do not need to worry about any new forms of attack that are not pre-configured for filtering because it can create its own signatures based on the quota values I set for each protocol."
"The product is very effective and performs well on devices."
"The solution is stable and reliable; there are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze."
"Now, after installing the Radware DefensePro anti-DDoS solution, they are 99% secure."
"Radware Cloud DDoS Protection Service goes beyond the essential Layer Three and Layer Four protection, which are practically mandatory these days."
"The most important thing for me right now in the Radware portfolio, is that Radware went to the cloud and has a flexible model based on virtual machines that can be delivered in our data center model, which could be delivered via the public cloud."

Cons

"Cloudflare could offer a better view or maybe dashboards of the main resources used in the client."
"The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Cloudflare are a bit on the higher side overall."
"There are some issues with the CDN services."
"Sometimes their more advanced caching tools can cause higher first-byte times and problems with JavaScript."
"The solution could work at being less expensive. It costs a lot to use it."
"The installation was complex until I learned what I had to learn."
"Yes, there were a few times when some of their CDN nodes would fail, creating serious speed issues with the site without any warning or notification from their side."
"Flexible SSL is nothing more than an illusion of security that you're presenting to your visitors."
"It does not provide the capability to upload data for blacklisting/whitelisting in bulk."
"Check Point should develop a DDoS solution because they don't have one and we need to use another solution, in our case, Imperva. This is a problem because we need to have two firewalls. We would like to only have one solution because it would improve the management, we would have fewer incidents, and we wouldn't need to talk to more than one person for support."
"For a long time, there was no software version of R80.10 available for the Check Point DDoS Protector software appliances, and we had to stay on the quite outdated R77.30 version."
"The product is expensive."
"Check Point DDoS Protector does not provide the ability to upload data for the blacklist/whitelist in bulk, which is one of the big points that need to be improved to facilitate configurations."
"The public documentation is a detail that must be improved in order to have greater implementations with the best practices in this case of the Check Point manufacturer."
"Monitoring and reporting are the things that can be introduced in the future."
"The mitigation part could be improved."
"I suggest improvements to the user interface to make it easier to use and to find the necessary data for analysis."
"I think Radware DDoS Protection Service could be improved by enhancing the network analytics features."
"The dashboard could be updated."
"Better integration with the automated incident response platform, and the ecosystem in general, would be an improvement."
"As price increases based on the volume of net traffic, it can get expensive."
"They didn't listen to what we were asking for and what we needed."
"I believe Radware DDoS could be improved for cloud deployments with more granular controls that could provide valuable gains for the company, especially by verifying whether the client is genuine or not with additional metrics."
"When the core services and the ERP are exposed to the internet, Radware DDoS has not managed to mitigate any specific attack with major impact that I can recall."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees."
"The product's pricing is cheap."
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"The product's pricing is minimal compared to other products."
"It's a premium model. You can start at zero and work your way up to the enterprise model, which has a very high pricing level."
"The pricing for the service is reasonable, neither excessively cheap nor prohibitively expensive. It aligns well with the value of their solution."
"We are using the free tier of the solution."
"The appliance comes with a loaded hardware license, and additional options such as SSL can be purchased and enabled."
"It's an expensive solution. It's one of the most expensive solutions in the world. It's cheaper than Palo Alto and Cisco but these are expensive solutions. Fortinet is cheaper."
"I don't deal with the pricing, but it seems that you need to get basic support in order to upgrade the DDoS database for new attacks and so on."
"Radware DefensePro is a bit on the expensive side."
"Its pricing is competitive. The licensing model is also very competitive. It is customizable, so there is no issue at all. They have given us whatever we have asked in terms of the pricing model and SLA."
"The pricing is okay, and I do not have any concerns about the price."
"Radware's switch to a pay-as-you-go model last year provides great flexibility."
"I didn't check pricing of other providers in depth but verified with two, and found Radware to be significantly cheaper compared to F5."
"Radware DefensePro is expensive when considering the issue we have and its limitations."
"The price varies by use case and there are monthly and annual licensing options. If you deploy on-premise, there is an annual license with the amount dependent on the throughput you need and which features you will be using - i.e. IPS, behavioral, etc."
"The pricing is based on the amount of network traffic and the number of packets being inspected."
