Excellent anti-ransomware protection, zero-day phishing protection, and web browsing filtering
We used to use other security solutions (Windows Defender and Kaspersky), however, we had security incidents that affected us (viruses and ransomware) and they were very difficult to identify or when we did identify them it was already a long time after the incident occurred and we did not know the cause and therefore affected the operability of our company considerably. Since we made the decision to move to Check Point Harmony we have had greater visibility of everything that happens on our devices and take a preventive approach rather than a reactive strategy, in addition to being more confident that we have Check Point protecting us.

We can get consolidated logs of suspicious objects and malware attacks in a single console
I like Vision Central. We can manage all the Trend Micro products from one console. Vision One protects against zero-day attacks. It has a feature where it identifies suspicious objects and traffic. We believe it's easy to learn. We perform cross-layer detection, threat hunting, and investigation from a single console. This capability is essential. We have 15-point IPS, DDI, and all these different security products that we can manage from one console. One Endpoint Security gives us end-to-end visibility. We can forward all the logs to the same solution and interact with the SOC team immediately. We get an alert about any suspicious objects or abnormal behavior, enabling us to take immediate action.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's easy to scale as needed."
"I found the fact of working across multiple attack vectors easy and more beneficial."
"It's great for securing our endpoints from any external attacks."
"SandBlast Agent is always working in the background collecting sensitive data, forensics, and notifying users whenever there is a chance of a brute-force attack into our systems. Otherwise, it has been protecting our data at various geographies along with the endpoints that we set up on the cloud. They have been able to filter out or thwart any attacks from the very word, "Go," and make our work very safe and smooth."
"The communication with the console is very dynamic and remote, without the need to return to the computer locally."
"The most valuable feature is Harmony Endpoint's encapsulation system which captures the whole system and protects it against other functions. It is really good for the Check Point Harmony specialists."
"It is minimally invasive. From a single installer, the equipment is protected and secured."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint has one of the most user-friendly dashboards I've seen."
"The solution is used for XDR (extended detection and response), threat hunting, endpoint protection, and device filtering."
"The general anti-virus on offer is the solution's most valuable aspect."
"I have opened three tickets with the technical support and they were responsive and asked me to send them my logs."
"I have found Trend Micro Apex One to be secure."
"Offers great application control, vulnerability protection, and behavior monitoring."
"It is updated automatically without much intervention from our side. We can also get some reports easily."
"Stability is okay."
"One of the advantages for me is that it is very easy to use."

Cons

"They need to make the user interface on the server more intuitive and user-friendly."
"It gives you an alert for malicious sites, which, after searching on the Google database, don't come out to be the same."
"The application control and URL filtering features are not very strong."
"There needs to be compatibility with the most recent versions of the various operating systems."
"This is one of the most innovative solutions due to the fact that it includes many real-time content filtering features, management, and assurance of the transactions of what went in or out of our peripherals. That said, it is important to integrate other solutions to continue innovating in the market."
"We did have some early compatibility issues, which I hope Check Point has since resolved."
"I have a few issues when attempting to install Harmony on some of the machines."
"The response from the tool's support team, which starts with L1, is something my company doesn't find helpful, especially when compared to the other solutions that we use."
"The scans in Trend Micro Apex One take a very long time and it takes up my system resources. I do not receive alerts. These areas could improve."
"I would like to see a sandboxing feature in the next release - which is currently something being supported by a third party - in addition to EDR capability on the cloud applications."
"The integration is lacking in Trend Micro Apex One. It does not integrate well with Microsoft p solutions. For example, with Office 365, we have to buy another solution for mail protection. That's why we are assessing Microsoft Defender 365 because we have an email from Microsoft, an endpoint from Microsoft, and we use Windows systems."
"I would like to see the initial setup simplified to make it less complicated, and the price reduced."
"In the next release, I would like to see IBS included in OfficeScan."
"Apex One could use some updates to its UI, threat modeling, and insights. I would like to see better integration with helpdesk platforms and more AI-driven features."
"They should include easy-to-use connectors to make it easier to connect to SIEM."
"Sometimes it will not communicate with the server, and we need to manually restart items."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are three different licensing models including basic, advanced, and complete, and it needs to be selected according to the endpoint."
"We implement this solution with a yearly subscription and there are no extra costs."
"The solution is too pricey."
"One of the key factors that made us go with this solution was the pricing. On the licensing part, there was an initial complementary set of licenses offered in the initial onboarding package, either 15 or 20. Then, we had some complementary licenses in the initial purchase of the package. That was pretty useful."
"The cost is huge compared to other products that are available on market."
"In terms of licensing, have a buffer zone around your projects in terms of the amount of endpoints that you want to have. You can always have more, but it is best to leave room for a little increase or growth."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten. It costs around ₱2,200 per endpoint."
"The tool’s cost has increased by almost 300% in two years."
"The pricing is reasonable and depends on user count."
"It's well priced at a yearly rate. The price itself depends on whether the solution is full suite, half suite, or some other engine. It's different according to the consumer's requests."
"Apex One is expensive but we manage to work with the cost."
"The price of the solution was expensive in the first year we had it because we were purchasing it locally. This year we have a global discount for the license. There is an additional cost if you want maintenance support."
"It is cost-efficient."
"On a yearly basis, it's about $50,000. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The price of the solution is fine."
"Pricing and licensing are competitive with other solutions on the market."
