Provides real-time alerts and has efficient features for incident management
We have integrated Coralogix with Slack and other tools, which has helped us receive real-time alerts. We don't have to constantly monitor the tool because it generates alerts and pushes them to us, providing notifications on Slack. This enhancement has strengthened our security, fulfilling our need when searching for such a tool. Numerous data monitoring tools are available, but Coralogix somehow fine-tunes our policies and effectively supports our teams. This SaaS platform utilizes machine learning for behavioral analysis of logs, yielding the results we need. For instance, there was a scenario where we received extension logs that were difficult to interpret. However, we obtained the analysis with the help of the product.

The solution automates API documentation well and offers helpful technical support
The solution is missing a monetization module. One of our key use cases is engaging with third parties, so the solution has a disadvantage because you are forced to enter a contract with another third party just for billing. Moreover, there are readily-available connectors, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, but you will have to pay for that. In that way, the solution might get expensive. These connectors should be easily accessible from the marketplace once you have access to the platform, rather than them reselling other products to you. It now defeats the whole purpose of quickly integrating a finance platform without further costs, and you are then forced to redo an already available connector if the budget does not allow you to purchase that connector.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Numerous data monitoring tools are available, but Coralogix somehow fine-tunes our policies and effectively supports our teams."
"The best feature of this solution allows us to correlate logs, metrics and traces."
"The solution is easy to use and to start with."
"A non-tech person can easily get used to it."
"The solution offers very good convenience filtering."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"Overall, the platform is pretty good, I cannot say which one specific feature is good. The idea of an API manager is really interesting."
"The solution has been very stable."
"MuleSoft has given the API solution a 3-tiered architecture. This means that there are multiple channels available in one application. The usability is very high."
"I found the authentication features very valuable, like how the tool provides client IDs and secrets and lets you apply authentication policies. We bought the Titanium package with analytics, which allowed us to do rate limiting and throttling. The API monitoring and alerting were also useful."
"The solution has a feature called Flex, which is a low-latency API layer for passthrough APIs where you want data mapping but with very low latency and high scalability."
"The most valuable features are API development and API management."
"I believe the API connectivity within the cloud marketplace is most valuable."
"Anypoint is very capable in terms of scalability."

Cons

"From my experience, Coralogix has horrible Terraform providers."
"Maybe they could make it more user-friendly."
"The user interface could be more intuitive and explanatory."
"It would be helpful if Coralogix could integrate the main modules that any organization requires into a single subscription."
"The documentation of the tool could be improved"
"We want it to work at what it is expected to work at and not really based on the updated configuration which one developer has decided to change."
"Since most components are situated in the cloud, there's one particular hosted in the cloud. This presents a considerable challenge. While all other components are implemented on-premises, this specific one isn't permitted to be hosted in the cloud as per customer requirements. Shifting this component to an on-premises environment requires a significant effort."
"The solution is missing a monetization module."
"To improve Anypoint API Manager for the next release, it should focus on better consumption scalability, especially for smaller APIs."
"The solution should facilitate the creation of custom connectors for use cases where a user would require extra connectors."
"The solution is expensive."
"The initial setup, if you go back three or three and a half years, definitely, for us, was complex."
"We have issues with the tool's pricing. The product seemed to have most of the features required for the tasks I was working on. I didn't feel the need for additional features. However, one aspect that could be improved is making the platform more user-friendly for non-technical users. While it's not necessarily complex, it does require some familiarity. Unlike open-source tools available online, accessing and using this product may not be as straightforward. It needs to offer training to its users."
"I would like to see more automation. Operations are done manually. It should also automate in the operation."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform has a reasonable cost. I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
"We are paying roughly $5,000 a month."
"The cost of the solution is per volume of data ingested."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"The licensing fees are approximately $80,000 USD per year and there are costs for additional functionality, as well as premiums for connectors to systems such as Oracle and SAP."
"Anypoint is the most expensive solution on the market, as far as I know, though it's also the most capable."
"It is extremely high, and I would rate it one out of ten."
"The pricing is quite reasonable and affordable."
"It is really expensive from a Zimbabwean perspective."
"When it comes to determining price, the pre-sales team interacts with the customer's primary integration team and the price is negotiated based on the specific usage of the system."
"It's not very expensive, reasonably priced. There are no additional costs."
