SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) and Globalscape EFT both compete in the integration and file transfer solutions category. SEEBURGER BIS excels in complex B2B integrations and handling large files due to its ease of integration and extensive protocol support, while Globalscape EFT provides simpler data transfer operations with its user-friendly setup and robust security features.
Features: SEEBURGER BIS is recognized for its robust Java integration, platform independence, and capability to handle large-scale EDI transactions efficiently. The Mapping Designer and Dynamic BPEL workflow capabilities enhance process automation significantly. Additionally, seamless SAP integration and high scalability make it suitable for complex business requirements. Globalscape EFT is praised for its integrated encryption capabilities and comprehensive security features, facilitating secure data transfers. With its advanced workflow engine, it simplifies complex integrations and supports various protocols like SFTP and FTPS. Its intuitive interface, coupled with robust auditing and reporting tools, enhances usability.
Room for Improvement: SEEBURGER BIS can enhance its cloud integration functionality, refine configuration processes, and improve API management. Users suggest more user training and interface improvements. For Globalscape EFT, performance improvements with larger datasets and optimizing folder monitoring services are needed. The user interface and reporting functions should be enhanced for more efficient processing during peak loads.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: SEEBURGER BIS primarily supports on-premises deployments and provides reliable technical support, although users desire improved communication and personalized support. Globalscape EFT offers more deployment flexibility across public, hybrid, and on-premises environments. It is backed by responsive technical assistance, but users suggest simplifying the deployment process further. The support is consistent, though responsiveness in high-priority scenarios can be improved.
Pricing and ROI: SEEBURGER BIS offers a flexible, component-based pricing model, which is considered competitive, though the cost is high relative to its comprehensive capabilities. It provides significant ROI through automation efficiencies and reduced manual tasks. Globalscape EFT is valued for its straightforward pricing and server-based licensing, providing an easier management experience. Its pricing is competitive when compared to high-end competitors, delivering substantial ROI through strong automation features and minimized staffing needs.
It has custom reports which are inbuilt, showing things such as how many files are going through, what the file sizes are, and if any invalid logins have happened.
A quicker response would be appreciated.
The support provided by SEEBURGER is excellent.
I would rate my experience with the technical support of SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite as 10 out of 10.
While I sometimes find difficulties with GCP, it works fine and flawlessly on AWS, especially since we have a large customer base and vendors where we send numerous files daily.
The scalability depends primarily on the mapping itself, as the connection and file flow are in the cloud.
Sometimes we encounter error logging issues or the system goes down, requiring us to connect with the cloud engineer.
SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite is a very stable product, and I haven't noticed any significant drawbacks.
I would rate the stability of SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite as 9 out of 10.
If I'm transferring large batches, it takes them in threads. Globalscape EFT uploads the files on a threading basis, such as 100 files at a time, and the rest of the files will be in a queue system.
In one instance, while working on sending files from one folder to different vendors with different loops for every condition, the upload activity went out of the loop, resulting in all files being sent to the same vendor.
This requires restarting the application to update the IP address, which is an issue from the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite vendor side.
Acquiring training documents on a public domain for SEEBURGER is challenging.
It operates as a pay-as-you-go model.
Regarding the pricing of SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite, I would rate it as 7 out of 10.
It is flexible because you can modify many aspects in Globalscape EFT.
It comes pre-loaded with solutions, meaning it is ready to use without requiring significant development.
There is no disturbance in the connections, and it is very clear to check the connection flow with applicable queues.
