Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I found Confluence most valuable.""The product's most valuable feature is CMDB for services desk management and backlog projects.""Jira is one of the most widely used tools in the market, and it has a vast amount of data already stored in it. Jira Align is crucial in orchestrating this data and providing valuable views and insights. However, it's essential for tools like Jira Align to offer configurable features. While complete customization might not always be feasible for enterprise-level tools, configurable features allow organizations to drive transformation accordingly.""The biggest advantage of Jira Align, in my opinion, is its user-friendly interface, making it simple and easy for end users to navigate and utilize. The most valuable feature of Jira Align for me is its automation capabilities, allowing us to create automation rules based on logical conditions for our projects. In terms of cross-team collaboration, Jira Align's integration with our project squads has been highly effective. It enables seamless creation of stories linked to incidents and changes, facilitating better visibility and understanding of the relationships between them. Regarding road mapping and dependency tracking, Jira Align enhances our project planning by aligning with our best practices and providing robust capabilities for mapping out dependencies and tracking progress.""The tool helps us with better tracking across various departments. Jira Align is highly valuable for organizations due to its flexibility. With my experience as an administrator, I can attest that it can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of any organization. It helps to eliminate the mess created by Excel spreadsheets.""In my previous experience, the Portfolio and Structure feature in Jira is really valuable because it assists with forecasting for projects.""In our workflow, we utilize a dashboard. Our product development backbone relies on two-week sprints. At the beginning of each sprint, we conduct a planning meeting to discuss and challenge the backlogs. Throughout the sprint, we conduct daily sessions to review code, ensure alignment with coding standards, and address any issues. Once all tasks are completed, we proceed with the deployment process.""I like Jira's structured project plan, with tasks and subtasks. Jira can use various external plugins. Third-party providers can add new features to the solution. If I need some functionality, I can usually find an app for it. They have thousands."

"It's very user-friendly. It has a reporting side that is very automated. There are a lot of things that you can automate using that tool.""The API part of the solution is very easy to integrate with CI/CD tools, which helps our company achieve our goals related to the integration part.""I have found the ease of CACD integration to be the most valuable feature.""We use it for a lot of things, and it is really good for our use cases. We use it for our help desk and knowledge management, which is really good. When it comes to modules, it has an incident module, which is really good for us in terms of tracking our cases and incidents. Its change management module is really good, and it also has customization capabilities."

Cons
"The synchronization between Jira and Jira Align takes too long.""There are fewer customization options in Jira Align due to how it was designed.""I would like to see Jira Align merge and integrate better with Jira as a whole. A lot of the time, the data from Jira won't map very well into Jira Align.""AI is utilized worldwide; they could implement the functionality for notifications and other organizational operations in the product.""The tool's corporate pricing is expensive.""Jira Align fails to provide its users with a complete package in terms of portfolio management.""The tool must provide better bulk editing features.""Jira Align's user interface needs improvement because its user experience is really bad."

More Jira Align Cons →

"The roles for the ServiceNow administration side could be improved. I think they could be more specific or add the descriptions for the different roles.""From a documentation point of view, there are certain areas of concern, and improvements are to be made to make the documentation part clearer and crisper.""Pricing is our biggest concern with the solution.""Its performance is really bad. When you're on the hosted cloud, it gives you the time it takes for a transaction to happen, and it takes anything from 20 seconds to a minute, which is a really long time. Something that is really annoying in this solution is that when you click on the Back button to go back, you don't go back to the previous screen. You go back all the way to the homepage. It is really annoying and painful. Its UI is also pretty dated. It is very customizable, but the customization seems to be clunky. We have a separate team that owns the ServiceNow implementation. They control how it is customized. Its customizations are pretty extensive, and it takes us a while to get them done, which is painful. That could be because of our internal team, as opposed to the product itself. When it comes to DevOps, there are better solutions such as Atlassian and Azure DevOps. ServiceNow DevOps is an ITIL product that is trying to be something else. DevOps is not its prime purpose, even though it is capable of doing that. Trying to be too many things by one platform is not a good idea. They should focus on the ITIL space and not get into all other spaces."

    Reviews from Real Users

Jira Align stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its program-level planning options and its reporting capabilities.

A project manager at a consultancy notes, “I like how things can be sorted out, and it shows the different objectives one can do. You could also create a team view that would allow your team to see work outcomes. Jira Align also helps with the reporting, because we can export data to Excel or another format.”

ServiceNow DevOps enables IT teams to automate change management tasks such as planning, development, testing, deployment and operations via a single dashboard surfacing a common set of metrics, he said.
