The servers are user-friendly, efficient, and accommodate for centralized management
Pros and Cons
  • "The OpenMange console is effective."
  • "The scalability has room for improvement."

What is our primary use case?

We preinstalled Microsoft Windows Server on Dell PowerEdge servers due to its ease of installation and deployment within our data center.

We utilize Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers for our file server, Windows server, and WTS server for services.

We use models, T350, T440, and T560.

How has it helped my organization?

The PowerEdge cyber-resilient architecture approach to security is excellent. We can close all the ports as we want and change the ports of the iDRAC. We can also separate the networks for the iDRAC. I love this functionality.

I am impressed with the efficiency of the PowerEdge Rack Servers. I compared their power consumption with that of APC/UPS units and found them to be highly efficient for utilization.

PowerEdge has enabled us to centralize the management of all servers and installations. We now have a single, easy-to-follow document for managing our entire infrastructure.

PowerEdge servers have helped reduce unplanned production downtime by 60 percent.

What is most valuable?

I find the support site where we collect drivers valuable.

The OpenMange console is effective.

The Life Cycle Manager is a valuable feature.

Overall Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are user-friendly.

Highly reliable and scalable servers with excellent customer service
Pros and Cons
  • "We like their quality. I have also dealt with HPE and other manufacturers. In terms of service, Dell is optimal."
  • "They can consider making them smaller in physical size but retain the same quality and the same security."

What is our primary use case?

We have a lot of use cases. We have many virtual machines on them that we use for development. We have a development department with us. They work on the machines that we have installed via HPE.

How has it helped my organization?

By implementing Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, we wanted everything to be in-house so that we could manage it ourselves. We essentially wanted to have it all in our hands. We did not want to outsource it.

So far, these servers have been satisfactory and very reliable. Of course, we maintain updates; that is a part of it, and we plan accordingly to restart the entire machine, etc. A lot of it is automated in-house.

They have definitely improved our organization. We have centralized everything, which is the advantage. With Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, we essentially operate hardware and have various applications and solutions on one platform. They have had a significant impact on security, and there is also reliability. When you have peak loads, you can adjust accordingly. That is a definite advantage with such a machine.

In terms of energy consumption, I do not know what the consumption is, but the trend is towards machines consuming less. Dell probably needs to keep up with other manufacturers and reduce consumption. It is also likely a reason why many companies are trying to move away from traditional servers, or in our case, towards Azure Cloud, because they also want to save energy.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers have definitely helped a lot in terms of the sustainability goals. I am new to the company, but from what I have gathered, we used to have a separate machine for each application area. In other companies where I have been, we had, in some cases, up to 80 machines. With Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, we could streamline the entire server landscape we had. They are designed for that purpose.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers have affected the overall flexibility of our operations. In the past, we had a separate machine for each application, but now, everything is centralized. One hardware has everything on it. We have reliability, and the VMs can be moved back and forth depending on the load.

What is most valuable?

We like their quality. I have also dealt with HPE and other manufacturers. In terms of service, Dell is optimal. I have been very satisfied with it, at this company or elsewhere. That was the reason why we stuck with Dell. Good service is one of the reasons.

There are other aspects of quality. These servers are very reliable. We hardly had any failures. A hard drive replacement is routine, depending on what is built in, but otherwise, the quality has been excellent.

What needs improvement?

In general, our long-term goal is to have everything in Azure. We also work with Office 365, and we want to have everything essentially in one place. Above all, the hardware we have on-site does not need to be maintained anymore because it takes time and money. We want to simply move away from this aspect. I am not a decision-maker, but if it were up to me, I would probably prefer to have these servers rather than somewhere in the cloud.

They can consider making them smaller in physical size but retain the same quality and the same security. That can be an option. They do not necessarily need such a large cabinet.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers for five to six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

These servers are stable. Their reliability is just right.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate them a ten out of ten in terms of scalability.

How are customer service and support?

I am super satisfied with their support. I am impressed. It is great. Assistance is quick, and technicians are there right away. It, of course, depends on the contract you have. We get immediate support. It is top-notch. They should keep it up.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

In my current company, I have not used any other servers. I am new here, but we have always used Dell. In my previous company, we used HPE extensively, but we moved away from it due to issues with quality and service. Unfortunately, HPE was not as good in terms of service. So, we switched to Dell. The service was a factor for the change.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Licensing is according to the machines you have. It is a part of the process. I am not familiar with the prices, but from a company's perspective, the more cost-effective, the better, especially when managing a large infrastructure.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers a ten out of ten. In all the companies where we used Dell, I was always satisfied. That is why the decision was made back then to move away from other manufacturers and switch to Dell. I am not a decision-maker, but if I could decide, I would still stick with the physical aspect because I prefer having the device physically with me, being able to take care of it, and seeing it, rather than it being somewhere in the cloud. I am not a decision-maker, but I would choose Dell.

Bitte geben Sie Details an.

Great console, helps meet evolving needs, and offers good firmware updates
Pros and Cons
  • "It is quite flexible when you use it."
  • "It would be nice if they could make the solution cheaper and faster."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution as servers for a range of tasks, including printer servers, internet servers, and a range of application servers.

We have two and they are hosts. We run about 12 VMs on them that run different things on our site. We have a main site and two satellite sites that run. They run in a failover cluster using Hyper-V in an active-active configuration. If one goes down, the other will take over.

What is most valuable?

We chose to preinstall Microsoft Windows Server with the Dell PowerEdge servers based on the cost. The OEM licensing is cheaper than buying it any other way.

It is quite flexible when you use it.

The support is good.

I like how you can type in the asset tag and download all the drives.

Finding information about the server is simple.

It helps with the evolving needs of workloads. They've also been very quick with good value for the speed of the processor. They offer very good high-performance workloads.

The assigned firmware updates are very good. If you have an OS that doesn't work well or is suffering, we are able to fix the server much faster.

It has very good user management.

The energy consumption is good, although we haven't compared it to anything else.

The OpenManage console is great. You can configure and gain visibility. When you are doing firmware upgrades, you can configure items.

The user interface is very well designed.

It's helped improve our productivity. It allows for pretty quick fault finding and when it takes less time to find the fault, you waste less of the technician's time.

Our OS is 2012 and we will be leveraging the latest cybersecurity systems when we update our OS.

The solution has improved our IT infrastructure. The removal of any single points of failure, allowed us to really reduce any hardware-related downtime. We realized improvements within three to six months. We don't get that kind of hardware downtime anymore using the active-active two-carriage servers. It's been a major improvement in downtime.

The PowerEdge service has positively impacted our IT infrastructure and its ability to handle the demands of the remote distributed workforce. We can easily deploy new VMs and have open storage. It's far better than the old approach. It allows you to be flexible and to be faster at fixing items and changing to different environments.

We use ERP, which is critical to our business. It's an SQL Server-based ERP system. The integration is very good. It helps the apps work very well. It is important to have the integration of the apps and workloads for our business demands. We use a variety of different approaches. We do have to make sure that we have our network configured correctly with VLANs. We have good user management. We have EDR software installed and run computers. We also have firewalls that proactively act as a strong Umbrella.

PowerEdge has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. For example, being able to upgrade the firmware through the IDAC when there's a problem with the server is very helpful. The redundancy built into the service is good, and the fact that there's no single point of failure between the servers and the SAN is also very good.

What needs improvement?

OEM licensing does not allow you to transfer from one server to another. You need to replace hardware and software together.

It would be nice if they could make the solution cheaper and faster.

At the moment, our SAN is very complicated to understand. I'd like there to be more simplicity around it. More integration between the SAN and the OS would be useful.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Dell for 30 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is highly stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

We had a set of faults when we went live with our last set of servers in the middle of the night, Dell assigned an Australian manager when our site stopped and Dell managed to get three new disks delivered at 6 AM on our side and managed to get them all working. They helped us turn a disaster around. When people came in the next morning, we had everything figured out. The majority of support interactions are very good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've used other servers, including HP and IBM. I tend to stick with Dell as I know it well. HP needs to be built yourself. Dell is pre-built and offers good value for money. The support is very good as well.

How was the initial setup?

We are using the version we bought seven years ago and we'll be replacing it in the next month.

I was involved in the initial deployment. It was more complicated as we went from actual service to VMs so there was a bit of complexity there. We ran the kit side by side and then migrated each server one at a time over the course of a month.

What about the implementation team?

We hired Dell consultants to assist with the implementation work.

What was our ROI?

I have no specific ROI statistics to compare.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I have been quite impressed with the price.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did consider public cloud servers before choosing Dell. The cost was much more going that route. It would have been multiple times mroe than what we've spent on Dell servers. We also prefer the control of having servers on-site. We have more options that way.

We did compare latency and found that latency would be better using on-site servers.

What other advice do I have?

We use a lot of Microsoft. It's 95% of what we use. That's who our ERP provider uses and where a lot of our apps are.

I have not used much of the cyber security features of the servers.

I have not done any integrations with third parties however that is a plan for the future.

I'd recommend the solution to others. I'd advise new users to get quotes from other providers as well, such as HP and IBM. However, Dell systems are built and support is good.

Overall, I would rate the solution eight out of ten.

Is user-friendly, has valuable integration with ESXi, and has great performance
Pros and Cons
  • "Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are user-friendly."
  • "I would appreciate the capability to carry out live updates without the need to take the system offline."

What is our primary use case?

We use Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers for our storage.

How has it helped my organization?

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are always ahead of the curve when it comes to speed and performance, and therefore, they are more than adequately positioned to deal with the demands of changing infrastructure and changing demands from the business.

The cyber-resilient architecture of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers allows us to customize the information for individual users rather than being limited to a single generic account.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are continually evolving to achieve optimal energy efficiency and performance, utilizing the latest processors from both AMD and Intel.

Dell's OpenManage Console for lifecycle management is user-friendly. We have utilized a centralized console for both overall management and individualized control. The process, from initial setup to complete patching of firmware and drivers, is remarkably straightforward. Furthermore, its integration with the cloud eliminates the need for manual driver downloads or ISO installations. Since it operates entirely through the cloud, the process is exceptionally uncomplicated.

OpenManage Console helps our IT staff to be more productive.

The OpenManage Console reduces the time required for us to deploy new data centers by 25 percent because we can perform all tasks from the central console on a subscription basis.

The native OS security features have helped protect our environment from attacks.

The Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers exhibit high uptime. Once they are up and running, they remain operational, making them easy to maintain and manage in terms of driver patching. We observed these advantages immediately.

The impact of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers on our IT infrastructure and its ability to handle the demands of a remote or distributed workforce is good. This is because we can manage all of them from a central source. The presence of iDRAC means that we don't have to visit sites unnecessarily; everything can be managed efficiently.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers help in reducing unplanned production downtime by 100 TB. The maintenance we perform is very efficient. We plan for it, and the average failure rate is quite low. Therefore, we don't experience too many failures.

What is most valuable?

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are user-friendly. The setup is easy and the overall experience with Dell from sales to support is absolutely wonderful.

The most valuable feature is the integration with ESXi, where they provide their custom ISOs, ensuring that all the drivers are installed.

What needs improvement?

I would appreciate the capability to carry out live updates without the need to take the system offline.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers for 20 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers have been stable, which is why I have been using them for 20 years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are scalable across the entire product range, ranging from one U to multiple U configurations and from single sockets to multiple sockets to cater to various markets.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is excellent, and they consistently possess extensive knowledge about the products.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously utilized Cisco Servers but transitioned to Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers due to their cost-effectiveness and reliability. These systems have slight differences; while one serves as Unified Communications, the other is stand-alone and is more manageable.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. I created a document explaining how to perform the task, and it was quite straightforward for individuals who are not familiar with PowerEdge systems. There weren't any complexities in the setup process; it's essentially a repetitive procedure. Once we've configured one PowerEdge server, the process is the same for all of them, as the product line doesn't substantially differ from a setup standpoint when utilizing PowerEdge servers.

Starting from the moment when ESXi is installed, the deployment takes approximately half a day to finish.

What about the implementation team?

I have implemented the solution in-house and have also utilized Insight UK as our integrator at my previous job.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I am satisfied with the pricing of the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers and would rate the cost as seven out of ten, with ten being the best.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We chose Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers and Microsoft due to their lower cost and user-friendly nature.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers an eight out of ten.

The integration of the app workloads with PowerEdge Rack Servers depends on the key factor of the operating system.

Using a public cloud instead of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers can potentially be more costly. The latency of any on-premises device will always be greater than that of the cloud.

I highly recommend Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers as long as they meet the organization's requirements for their use case. Users should first figure out their use case and ensure that their goals align with the available options.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Easy to manage, maintain, and install
Pros and Cons
  • "It is very easy and seamless to use the OpenManage console for lifecycle management or PowerEdge Rack Servers. It is one of the best solutions in the market today to manage the lifecycle of services."
  • "It is not good in terms of its energy consumption for a large-scale deployment. I probably would go for something more dense, like blades or any type of small scale hardware service solutions, to lower the heat and power consumption. However, for small environments, this solution is okay and easy to maintain."

What is our primary use case?

It is used for data center service.

PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel are good for handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads with classical use cases.

My company has thousands of customers. We are resellers as well as implement Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers in our organization.

How has it helped my organization?

My organization provides software or application stacks for many organizations. So, Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers add a lot of benefits for integration and testing purposes. It is also a solution for small-scale deployment at remote locations.

PowerEdge Rack Servers have affected the overall flexibility of our operations or business.

For labs, when you don't need a high SLA, HA, or other expensive support and maintenance fees, then it is very easy to deploy these servers. You pay CapEx but the usage for day two is easier.

What is most valuable?

It is easy to manage, maintain, and install.

The new stuff with AI, Hyperscale, and HPC for all sorts of general compute purposes makes it the best solution that you can have today.

PowerEdge Rack Servers’ approach to security with its signed firmware, drift detection, and BIOS recovery is very good. This is the natural behavior today in the market. All vendors provide it, including Dell.

It is very easy and seamless to use the Dell OpenManage console for the lifecycle management of PowerEdge Rack Servers. It is one of the best solutions in the market today to manage the lifecycle of services.

What needs improvement?

It is not good in terms of its energy consumption for a large-scale deployment. I probably would go for something more dense, like blades or any type of small scale hardware service solutions, to lower the heat and power consumption. However, for small environments, this solution is okay and easy to maintain.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel for 25 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel are easier to handle in regards to upgrade and maintenance than any other solutions. It saves us over 50% of our time.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Usually, it is a very good solution for small-scale environments and environments that have difficulty providing services since the maintenance of PowerEdgeRack Servers is easier relative to any other solutions. Therefore, if you go for small-scale deployments, then PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel are very simple and cost-effective.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support from Dell is good. If you have an issue, the tech support is better than Lenovo and about the same as HPE.

I would rate Dell's technical support as 8.5 out of 10, which is very good. While the technical support is very good, they are not perfect. You need to wait, and sometimes you need to escalate, which is a process. At the end of the day, it is economies of scale.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The rack and stack takes a couple of hours, maybe less. The overall installation depends on the use case. In general, it takes about two to three days to have a full working solution.

What was our ROI?

Intel's Optane memory has helped save money when adding memory capacity, compared to adding the same amount of DRAM.

The use of Dell's OpenManage console has decreased the time it takes to deploy new data centers.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The overall pricing and licensing are fair according to the market.

Because it is pay-per-use, there is a large offering from the application and software. This is what the customer requires, and I need to provide whatever they want. If they want to use the cloud, i.e., hyperscales as a solution, then I need to provide an application that will run on top. For me, it is a no-brainer. It is whatever the customer wants.

In general, going to the public cloud has its benefits since the CAPEX is low and the OPEX is pay-per-use. However, you need to arrange your application and software in a way that will modernize and utilize the cloud economically. This is the downside of things.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are a big company, so we are always evaluating everything.

For general purpose small-scale deployments, it has easy rack and stack and maintenance. For edge locations, this is the best solution that the market currently has to offer.

Today, we are looking at other solutions other than Intel, such as AMD, because of the cost as well as the quantity of the cores that you can get for the same amount of use or footprint.

There are also other solutions that are more cost-effective, but you can currently only get them on the cloud, like AWS Graviton, which is based off of ARM processing units. Currently, ARM is being provided only on cloud services. I haven't seen anyone provide ARM on-prem. However, if somebody provides a cost-effective, on-prem ARM, then we will consider going for ARM processing units.

I always prefer Dell because it is easier to maintain.

What other advice do I have?

It used to have a very good effect on IT staff's productivity. However, the problem has now moved from the infrastructure to the upper layer.

I like the R640 model the best.

I would rate Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers as nine out of 10.

It is easy to diagnose, repair, and manage remotely
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable aspect of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is that they don't require support for card installation and offer extensive diagnostic software."
  • "The limited connectivity of the Rack Servers, due to having only three USB ports, is an area of improvement for Dell."

What is our primary use case?

Our company offers various solutions, but for Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, our clients had specific requirements such as a very new, unsupported CPU, extensive RAM support, and numerous PCIe lanes. Only Dell met all these needs.

How has it helped my organization?

The learning curve for Dell products is not steep due to the excellent support and easily accessible information. Compared to other projects I'm involved in, I found it much easier to learn and use Dell products.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers have redundant power supplies that would help reduce downtime.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers offer flexibility due to their remote management capabilities, redundant components, and ease of diagnosis and repair.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable aspect of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is that they don't require support for card installation and offer extensive diagnostic software. I was able to work on the servers installed in our lab remotely from my office via the management tools. This eliminated the need for a physical display connection, requiring only an ethernet cable and power for remote access and management.

What needs improvement?

Their servers are modular, but there are specific applications for which I wish they would publish the specifications, such as the specs of internal connectors. If Dell doesn't provide a connector, I'd like to be able to provide it myself.

The limited connectivity of the Rack Servers, due to having only three USB ports, is an area of improvement for Dell. Dell continues to use micro USB for the management port, and that cable type is increasingly more difficult to find. A shift to USB-C for the management port would be a welcome improvement from Dell.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers for one year.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We sometimes build in-house using components from vendors we represent, but this project required something completely different, so we went with Dell. I hadn't worked with Dell before and had no prior experience. I had designed PCs based on Dell-style motherboards from one company and cards from another, handling integration, software support, and everything else. This was different because they didn't conform to usual standards and used their own products. There was a learning curve, but it was much easier overall.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers nine out of ten.

We collaborated with Dell Professional Services to obtain cable design specifications. The power supplies used DC voltage, and we needed to determine the recommended cable thickness and any other pertinent design considerations. We planned to install our cards, which necessitated an internal power supply, so we needed the specifications to ascertain the maximum power draw from each connector.

Dell Professional Services were great compared to others I have used. I would rate them ten out of ten.

Fast to implement with good performance and helpful support
Pros and Cons
  • "The go-to-market implementation was pretty fast."
  • "They could improve the time between new versions of the product."

What is our primary use case?

We made a renovation of our infrastructure, and the problem we're solving is our performance and it is collectivity in our infrastructure too.

How has it helped my organization?

We have a full-scale infrastructure for six countries and are able to centralize it. With this kind of product, we are solving a lot of problems, or issues that we had before with regards to performance. The centralization of the platform for the company helped immensely.

What is most valuable?

The go-to-market implementation was pretty fast. The go-to-market speed for us was pretty important at the time we had to implement that infrastructure.

In terms of the performance of the servers, I'm already pretty comfortable with that.

When it comes to PowerEdge rack servers handling the evolving needs of workloads, I have support from Dell partners. They constantly assess improvements for us and other versions of items on products. I keep up to date with it via my partners.

We use Dell's Optane to obtain memory in the PowerEdge environment. It helped save money in that aspect, as far as adding memory capacity. We used to negotiate these kinds of platforms and renewal with our partners on a full scale. We have a lot of cost-saving with this infrastructure.

PowerEdge helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. We have an IT continuity plan that is actually based on the infrastructure we already have implemented with Dell.

What needs improvement?

They could improve the time between new versions of the product. They could move faster, or maybe offer a little bit more support from the partners.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using the solution for four years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have 6,500 people across six countries using the platform.

How are customer service and support?

We have good support from Dell and good support from our partners. That said, sometimes it takes a pretty long time to get an answer from Dell. However, we get pretty good support from those folks.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We had used HP solutions and others as well. We changed as I had some experience with this product and we had comfort in the security that Dell gives us as a platform. The cost and the go-to-market implementation alongside the partner support are the main drivers we looked at when changing.

How was the initial setup?

I was involved in the setup of the product. It was both easy and difficult to set up. However, thanks to the partner, it was more easygoing. There were a lot of people and it was useful to have somebody help as well.

We have a pretty big platform. It took two and a half months to implement the solution. That said, for our needs, it was pretty fast. We had to deal with multiple locations and we migrated everything to just one. We centralized the entire platform.

What about the implementation team?

We had a great partner and planner involved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

For us, it makes more sense to have an on-premise platform rather than a cloud due to the cost. The cost-saving we have in the on-premises platform still is the driver.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did consider public cloud servers before choosing PowerEdge Racks. We looked at servers for AWS, Azure, and others.

What other advice do I have?

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten. We are quite satisfied.

It's a good scalable product. It's a good cost-saving product too. That aspect helps us as a company. In my experience, it's a pretty good implementation too.

I'd advise new users to keep up with the timing of new deployments. That way, you can take advantage of new features.

It's flexible enough to integrate the IOs we need into the server
Pros and Cons
  • "We could install all the other accessories and cards the customer asked us to implement on Dell servers and integrate cards from different companies. Each requires a different OS. Dell helped us integrate all the systems."
  • "When integrating the PowerEdge rack, we needed help from all the different companies to combine it with the servers. Each company has a system, and things must align with the server."

What is our primary use case?

We won a contract, and the customer preferred Dell as the OEM manufacturer.

How has it helped my organization?

PowerEdge is flexible enough to integrate the IOs we need into the server.

What is most valuable?

Dell's team supported us all the way. It's an excellent corporation, and customers here in Israel are different. They're difficult to deal with and constantly change their minds. We wouldn't have won this tender without cooperation from the CMS distributor and Dell.

We could install all the other accessories and cards the customer asked us to implement on Dell servers and integrate cards from different companies. Each requires a different OS. Dell helped us integrate all the systems.

What needs improvement?

When integrating the PowerEdge rack, we needed help from all the different companies to combine it with the servers. Each company has a system, and things must align with the server.

It would be better if they integrated Dell and Ubuntu, for example. It would be easier to handle the mission.

For how long have I used the solution?

We are in our first month of working with the Dell team.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

PowerEdge's overall scalability is excellent. We've got a great technical team.

How are customer service and support?

I rate Dell Professional Services 10 out of 10. They were excellent and were the reason we won the tender. They supported us. We had a whole team supporting us and providing us with answers. When we were implementing VxRail, they found the person in charge  who gave us the correct information.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

What other advice do I have?

I rate Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers nine out of 10. We're happy with it.
