What is most valuable?
I value the document formatting and generation. It has evolved over time and has seen better days, but the capabilities are still very good. However, not for the high price.
The product is good, but it is butchered to be a workflow engine, which it is not really designed for.
How has it helped my organization?
The system has improved a number of customers' communication pieces, made them look better, and provided features to enhance them.
What needs improvement?
It needs enhancements for today's technologies. Everything is proprietary and the days are counted that it will last.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for about 20 years, 18 years working for Papyrus and two years as an independent consultant.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have had some stability issues, but they can be overcome fairly easily.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have had some scalability issues. These are mostly related to monetary add-ons.
How are customer service and technical support?
The first level support is not very competent, poorly trained, and therefore not very helpful. However, when escalated or consultants are involved, the support is very good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have switched to Timitoo Systems, since it has more modern technology and provides more of today's features.
How was the initial setup?
Just the document component of the setup is easy. Anything beyond that is fairly difficult.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The owner of the company tries to get as much as possible out of every sale. If you know exactly which components you need, you can save a lot of money.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated Timitoo and GMC.
What other advice do I have?
Look exactly at how complex it is to set up once you go beyond the Papyrus Designer.
