The solution's requirement comes from the CEO, CTO, or executive labour department and the company's health. It integrates the least convergent, the marketing, and the operation; you can integrate everything. We have different licenses, so with the help of the solution, we can integrate them into one. Like, a dashboard with a password then of the CTO. It surpassed the scalability of the porting managers on the operation side because it is a dashboard.

A stable and scalable cloud-based data analytics solution
Pros and Cons
- "The data source is the most valuable feature as it can perform any function."
- "The hourly pricing needs improvement."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The data source is the most valuable feature as it can perform any function.
What needs improvement?
The query language is complex, but it's complex, like, in MSSQL.
The approach should be the same in secret and regular secret commands. It's a trusted period language. We have a data source from a data source.
They have a script to introduce some different sources. Still, they could provide more templates so you can quickly adapt to the query command, for example, query command. To teach the users because if you're going to have a data analysis, the query should be easier to code—the same task.
The hourly pricing needs improvement.

Business Development Director at Skore
Makes it easier and quicker for us to create insightful visualisations
Pros and Cons
- "The integration interface is very easy to use and allows you to directly connect to a variety of APIs."
- "It would be great to have more user input fields which can be used on dashboards."
What is our primary use case?
We use Zoho Reports for process, organisational analysis, and improvement. This means bringing in different data related to an organisational process and structure, including roles, responsibilities, systems, data, etc. We use the visualisations to identify trends and outliers in the data which helps us to find improvement opportunities.
How has it helped my organization?
Zoho Reports makes it easier and quicker for us to create insightful visualisations. It is much easier than downloading the data, then wrestling with Excel. The interactive visualisations can be shared very easily with colleagues and customers. It has made things easier and allowed us to deliver more value to our customers.
What is most valuable?
The report builder is very simple to use, and is one of the most intuitive that I have used. It is not as comprehensive as some, especially the more expensive tools, but that is the beauty of it; the simplicity. The integration interface is very easy to use and allows you to directly connect to a variety of APIs.
What needs improvement?
It would be great to have more user input fields which can be used on dashboards. For example, variables or sliders that can be used to change assumptions which have been made in the analysis.
Some more graphical options would also be great.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We have seen a couple of bugs, but they were resolved very quickly. We found information on the bugs in the support portal.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Our usage is fairly limited in terms of the amount of data that we use.
How are customer service and technical support?
There is a good support portal. Questions are answered quickly. Their team is happy to jump on a WebEx to help you out, if necessary,
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used TIBCO Spotfire and Qlik Sense in the past. Both are great tools, but cost was the main factor, and Zoho Reports did everything that we needed.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is very simple. Although, if you need to do more than the most basic reports, then a knowledge of SQL is useful.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented using an internal team.
What was our ROI?
An exact ROI is hard to calculate. However, we have definitely made sales that would have been much harder, or unlikely, as a result of the speed with which we were able to prepare comprehensive analysis.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I would recommend looking at your usage and whether the Zoho One license model would work for your organisation. It is very cost effective if you use other Zoho tools.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Only previous used tools and MS Excel.
What other advice do I have?
Setting it up is pretty easy.

VP, Marketing & Business with 1,001-5,000 employees
I chose Zoho Reports because of the interface, the features it offered and for handling huge volumes of data.
Before Zoho Reports, we were using a combination of a proprietary system and Microsoft Access for all our reporting needs. The system started showing strains, as the data kept on growing closer to 100 million rows. Also, using this system meant the Business Analytics department needed lots of development hours to generate the reports each month. Making these reports reach the intended users in a user-friendly fashion was a big challenge too, as there was no easy way to share the reports, other than generating user-specific reports and emailing them as attachments.
We used our proprietary systems as well as Microsoft Access, for our reporting needs. Our proprietary systems are very complex and require development hours for reporting. Our intention is to get more data to our users in a user-friendly environment for filtering, etc. We had simply outgrown this system (the reporting we conduct on Microsoft Access, in conjunction with our proprietary system) both for transaction level, as well as the number of employees who need to be engaged in reporting.
I started collecting recommendations from others and researched online for alternative solutions to their current reporting environment. I chose Zoho Reports because of the interface and the robust features it offered, for handling the huge volumes of data quickly and efficiently. Zoho Reports also allowed me to carry out quick and efficient changes of data and reports, through the GUI.
We are currently using Zoho Reports for our financial partners who need user-friendly access to large volumes of data. We now have around 100 million rows of data in Zoho Reports, and the number of rows are growing every month. And we are building out the infrastructure needed to support more robust weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting for our corporate level analysis, sales contests, and our franchise system reporting as a whole.

A standard analytics platform that needs to improve performance
Pros and Cons
- "We use the solution for financial and sales analytics. It brings data from our IT incident management tool. Hence, we have three business use cases for IT support, sales and financials."
- "I have a lower rating when it comes to Zoho Analytics. The tool has poor performance. It needs to improve the dimensions and measures."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for financial and sales analytics. It brings data from our IT incident management tool. Hence, we have three business use cases for IT support, sales and financials.
What needs improvement?
I have a lower rating when it comes to Zoho Analytics. The tool has poor performance. It needs to improve the dimensions and measures.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution becomes easier if its performance could be improved.
How was the initial setup?
The product's setup is straightforward. The initial stage is a bit cumbersome because it's the stage where you define the formulas. However, once everything is setup, then it's easy. We use the tool's cloud-based version. You need to define the business requirements while deploying the product.
What about the implementation team?
We had a good background in Analytics and didn't need any third-party help.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product's licensing is reasonable.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate the solution a four out of ten. The product is a standard analytics platform. I have used many analytics platforms before. So I think we get to experience the bare minimum of what a recent platform can do for us. The solution is just standard for its purpose. The solution is easy if you have advanced skills in Excel since you need to define some formulas.
If you are not good with Analytics, then get a third-party vendor to help you with the implementation.

MSc student at a university with 51-200 employees
The ability to create summary views with multiple filters that could be manipulated was very helpful.
What is most valuable?
There were some small things that were a challenge to learn (e.g. accessing data sets to make charts with once they were uploaded), however overall the product was fairly easy to use.
Being able to work on data sets and charts with multiple people, as well organize data into separate folders were both helpful features for working with a team. The ability to create summary views with multiple filters that could be manipulated was also very helpful for making data easy to retrieve and communicate to others.
How has it helped my organization?
This product was used to create a Capacity Report, with most of the work being done by people with limited data experience (or whose experiences were from long ago). Unlike other data programs, Zoho was fairly intuitive and allowed us to get started on our work with minimal training. It also allowed us to keep large amounts of data organized and retrievable once we were ready to write the report.
What needs improvement?
I remember that cleaning up data was a challenge, and on several occasions we had to upload data sets again after making changes in another program. The pivot tables also took little bit of time to get used to, particularly when choosing which variable to put where and which functions to apply. One feature I wish Zoho has was a tool to determine statistical significance, which would have made analyzing data easier, although I think this is outside what the program is intended for.
For how long have I used the solution?
From May 2014 to August 2014.
How are customer service and technical support?
Customer Service:
I don't remember even needing to use customer service so I cannot comment here.
Technical Support:Zoho had a lot of great tutorials to get us started right away without going through lengthy written out "how to" guides online. The language used in these videos was not super specialized and could be understood by someone with minimum data experience.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We did not work seriously with another solution prior to choosing Zoho.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup needed to start working with a data set took some time, but challenges encountered never seemed insurmountable given the resources provided by Zoho. For example, learning how to manipulate data in different kinds of tables took some time but with after playing around some with the different options, it was easy to get the program to do what we needed it to do.
What about the implementation team?
I am not entirely sure but I am fairly sure we did not use a vendor.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I am fairly sure we purchased the $50 per month standard option.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
In addition to Zoho, we also considered using Google Fusion tables, SPSS, and Crystal Reports. (I know, these are all very different kinds of data programs, but we were still figuring out our needs!) Unfortunately, the charts on Fusion tables were not as user-friendly Zoho's and we could not upload enough cases for our needs. SPSS was out of our price range and required too much training and know-how. I honestly can't remember the exact reason we did not use Crystal Report.
What other advice do I have?
I imagine that someone who is much more data-literate than myself would find this product limiting. However for someone with little data experience this was a convenient solution with many user- friendly features and options for sharing data among team members and making data accessible and communicable.
