I think it depends on your use case. If your organization uses Microsoft Enterprise products, PowerApps will work better in your environment. Similarly, if you have a Salesforce integration in place, it is logical to go for the Salesforce Platform. Since we don’t have MS enterprise, we went with Salesforce.
PowerApps has many benefits, though. It is a low-code solution. It provides rapid application development that enables people without advanced tech knowledge to build apps. It also provides visual modeling and a drag and drop interface.

PowerApps is better suited for organizations where employees need to create solutions by themselves under a Microsoft environment. There are downsides to PowerApp. It is difficult to import and export data out of the CDS.
Salesforce is also designed for building and deploying scalable cloud applications. It provides standard code tools that help automate business processes and enable you to integrate with external apps.
We like that we can create, deploy, manage, and run apps written in multiple languages. You deploy the code in git, and the platform picks it up and runs the application. It doesn’t require extensive coding knowledge because of the reusable building blocks feature. Additionally, you can track opportunities and have detailed reporting.
