Organizations of all sizes, especially those that are experiencing rapid growth, want to have a way to effectively manage their HR operations. Our organization feels that BambooHR is an HR management technology that is worth serious consideration. We are impressed by its capabilities and find it likely that others who seriously investigate it will feel similarly.
BambooHR does have some drawbacks: It does not allow our administrators to assign tasks to different users within the software. We do not find the software’s color palettes to be the most visually attractive. It can be argued that the system used to evaluate job candidates can be improved. Despite these drawbacks, we still think that it is a very solid solution.
The many features that BambooHR made available to us are impressive and should factor into any conversation about the value that it brings to an organization. Some of the most useful features that really caught our attention are:
Intuitive UI. BambooHR makes it easy for us to track and manage candidates that we are looking to hire. The interface that we have access to is so simple that we don’t have to provide special training to our HR team in order for them to get the best possible use out of it.
Customizable dashboards and reports. BambooHR allows us to create the kinds of dashboards and reports that fit our needs. It is flexible and allows us to be flexible.
Centralized employee database. We are able to centralize all of our employee information in a single location for easy access. Additionally, any changes made to the information that we store on this database automatically change across our whole system.

I would recommend it to others. For a small to medium-sized organization, BambooHR is sufficient. For a much larger organization, though BambooHR has the capacity, I would still lean towards something a little bit more structured and complex, like ADP. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. The payroll issue was a bit of a concern because it didn't have that functionality.
I would recommend BambooHR to a friend or an organization like a startup, to help them properly manage their staff and also them help easily access information. I rate BambooHR a six out of ten.
The solution can be useful for mid-sized companies and not enterprise-sized companies. BambooHR is user-friendly, the setup process is easy, and their support team is super responsive since they give you the exact steps and very comprehensive instructions with which you can easily modify or change. Since the solution is not quite global and is very specific to North America, especially the US, and not quite popular in Europe, I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.

I rate BambooHR six out of 10. There is a lot of room for improvement. Ideally, we can find a software solution that lets us work the way we need to work. I recommend it if you have experience with technology or you have someone who can show you how it works. If you're a person that isn't good with technology and you don't have anyone to explain it to you, I'm not sure if it's a good solution for you.

The first thing I would say is to go for it, but just give them a call because they are very clear on what are the things that they do and the things that they don't do. I would definitely say give them a call and interact with them and just use the system. You'll quickly see if it fits your requirements or not. Obviously, there is a slice of the market that it won't fit. I would say just try it because it is so user friendly that you will know quickly whether it is a good match for you or not.
