The product is so easy to use that it is just like buying a toy and starting to operate it directly. It is a very simple tool to use, and you don't need to indulge in any preparations. I recommend the product to others, especially since it can be considered a futuristic solution. For beginners, the product is very easy to learn and use. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.
I give the solution a six out of ten. We have three administrators managing the solution. New users should be aware of the snapshot and replication problems. We have over 2000 people that are supported by the solution.
I would advise others they should use this solution instead of traditional servers because it's safer, and better for the company. You don't have to rely on complicated setups, if one of the parts goes down, it keeps working. This aspect is the best for companies that don't want to waste time. Scale Computing HC3 should improve its marketing. I rate Scale Computing HC3 a nine out of ten.
I would rate Scale at an eight out of ten. Scale has major improvements that they need to fix up. However, it is pretty good in terms of capability and scalability.
We're just customers. We don't have a business relationship with the client. I'm not sure which version of the solution we use, however, it has been fully updated. All our servers were co-hosted in another location, and I decided to bring everything on-premise due to our need to have the best performance. They need to change that mentality that they just want to sell the box. It is what it is, that they don't allow us to do upgrades. I think this mentality is like an Apple mentality where you have to buy whatever you want at the beginning and you cannot change, and nowadays, everything is so interchangeable. We need to be able to adapt it to whatever we need. That said, this product and its salespeople are not flexible. I'd advise others to make sure you buy as fast and as big as possible at the beginning. You won't have many opportunities to do upgrades in the box that you have. For example, if you need 64 GIGs of RAM, buy 128 - at least double. Don't get it back to the wall where you don't have an option to increase. I would rate the solution seven out of ten.
Hyper-Converged Infrastructure refers to a system where numerous integrated technologies can be managed within a single system, through one main channel. Typically software-centric, the architecture tightly integrates storage, networking, and virtual machines.
Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten because it is stable and very easy to use.
