I rate SonicWall Email Security an eight out of ten. It is a wonderful solution and should be deployed in every business. It will help them prevent unpredicted malicious attacks while dealing with a business transaction.
SonicWall has various kinds of email security appliances for small, mid-level enterprise, and large-level enterprise organizations. If the email security engine is up to the mark, there is no issue. It's very flexible - the project I'm working on now has 300 users, but they're planning to increase to 1,000 users and possibly eventually 2,000 users. If costs are prohibitive for the on-prem version, then I'd recommend the virtual platform. For now, I rate this solution seven out of 10. I'm sure it will improve.
This solution has been really good for us and I recommend using it. If there is a big difference between what you are using now and this solution, then test it out. When we look for new solutions, we want to know what features are not in SonicWall. So far, we have stayed with it, but we would like to have more intelligent filtering in the future. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
We also use the SonicWall firewall solution, which has many features to secure our local network. It protects each of the ports on all of our PCs and they are secured from outside of the network. It provides broadcast controlling, multi-layered security, and more. They provide a lot of features that other firewalls do not have and it is the most powerful one that I have seen. My advice for anybody who is considering this solution is to first perform a feature comparison with other products and look at the new technology that is out there. That is the way to find the best option. Overall, this is a solution that provides good security but at a very high cost. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Before I got email security I was using the NSV 2400 as the edge device, as the firewall, so this solution integrated smoothly with the firewall and the Microsoft Exchange I was using. That was very helpful. You definitely need very good after-sale support when you use this product, but we didn't have that. I had to deal with a few things, like ransomware, which could have been easier if I had access to better support. Still, I would recommend the product. I would have kept it if I could have been assured better support. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
