I use the solution for storage. We use it for application data storage and retrieval and for data backup. It has various use cases for storing applications, platforms, or other data types.
We used to have our own storage, hardware, and software in a legacy environment. Our data was completely stored on-premises. Nowadays, AWS is offering a cheap way of storing data. We use Amazon S3 Glacier for the project's storage purposes.
I use Amazon S3 Glacier for cloud automation to deploy basic and dynamic websites. We can create Terraform for resource provisioning using it. It helps us with cross-region verification of resources.
We use Amazon S3 Glacier for several purposes. We have buckets for our pipelines, software repository, timesheets, and performance data. As per state regulations, we must retain this data for eight years. So to comply with these regulations, we have set up a lifecycle policy in S3 that moves the data to Glacier after five years. This means the data will be stored in Glacier for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth years. We can retrieve the data from Glacier if we need to access it during this time. Beyond five years, the data will remain in Glacier for three years.
We use S3 as a short-term backup, and we use the Glacier as a long retention backup for our customers. We also use Crosswork to orchestrate from on-prem to the cloud. For example, we had a customer who has certified remote offices, and they want to control the backup at these remote offices from the head office. We installed our own software, and we booked and supplied S3 pockets to each one.
Amazon Glacier is a secure, durable, and extremely low-cost cloud storage service for data archiving and long-term backup. Customers can reliably store large or small amounts of data for as little as $0.007 per gigabyte per month, a significant savings compared to on-premises solutions. To keep costs low, Amazon Glacier is optimized for infrequently accessed data where a retrieval time of several hours is suitable.
We use the platform for building data packages and storage, which involves efficient data handling and backup solutions.

If I construct many web servers, it would need network and OS settings. It would also need security. Amazon is a comprehensive solution.
