The use case is that they don't want a proxy on-premises. They want everything to be on the cloud, with all processing happening before it reaches the firewall. Typically, in a traditional scenario, when I try to access a website like gmail.com, the request goes through the firewall. The router, and is cached, with multiple security measures applied on-premises. Forcepoint handles all these processes on the backend, so the customer doesn't need to worry about on-premises infrastructure.
We used the tool for secure internet access in our legacy environment. We had a firewall. In a corporate environment, when a user goes through the environment, they go through the firewall. However, hardware devices have some limitations. The performance degrades if the number of users increases. Forcepoint is a cloud solution that users can go through. It is scalable.

I'm using Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway for web security, particularly DLP. It's mainly to control internet usage for users in terms of what's allowed and what's not. It's also a DLP solution that I use to monitor the data, including information about any data transfers within the organization.
We use the solution as an overall proxy. We are using Forcepoint Web Gateway to allow only trusted, valid URLs - whatever is accepted or offered by the cache rate. It's a landing zone for all kinds of end-user traffic for the internal users, as well as to protect against any attacks from my external users. Also, it controls the internal IT assets and can protect us from hard, new, cyber attacks, ransomware, and other things. That's how it has been used right now specifically.

Basically, we are the system integrators. We apply it to clients for use cases such as productivity increases. For example, if they want to block Facebook and those kinds of social networking sites, it will help stop users from off-work distractions. They also are now catering to the use case of remote working to control access off-site. That involves cloud solutions.
We are the implementation partner for Forcepoint, and then we configure and integrate Forcepoint into the customer enrollment. We personally use cloud Websecurity and cloud Email security of Forcepoint.
My primary use of this solution is to help our customers filter their security and their users' usage. They can optimize internet traffic and block or allow sites.
Our customers are government agencies, and we recommended Forcepoint to add an extra layer of security to their data centers. It's the second layer of protection on top of a layer from another vendor. And one week ago, we recommended a data leakage prevention solution from Forcepoint for another agency, but this project hasn't started yet.

We make use of a host of features offered by Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway. We primarily use it to analyze cloud-based data which enters and exits our company through external web access. We retrieve all the data for analysis of any external transactions as these relate to the application of messages.
We are implementing Forcepoint Web Security Gateway on corporate, and on enterprise levels. We're not only maintaining Forcepoint, but we are also maintaining McAfee and Symantec as well. I implement and maintain Forcepoint. The primary use case of Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway is focusing on the advanced malware detection for our customers. We deployed it in multiple locations, and we ensure that the customer's requirements are achieved. The majority of customers are using the on-premises solution of Forcepoint, and hybrid solutions. But, during this COVID period, they are upgrading that Cloud Web Security console with the availability of the categorization, and there is a GRE tunnel. You can use the GRE tunnel between your organization and the Forcepoint cloud with the IT-based policy applicable to your prospective user.
My position means that I'm focused on functionalities and the happiness of the users of this solution. I am the CTO of sales and we are a customer of Forcepoint.
We are a solution provider for a variety of products including web security, next-generation firewalls, and DLP. Forcepoint Web Security is one of the products that we implement for our clients.

We are a professional services company and I use this solution in my office, but I also implement it for some of my customers. This product is used as a security gateway, and more generally, as part of an internet security solution. I have some customers who have deployed this solution on-premises, while others have a hybrid cloud deployment using Azure or AWS.
