Forcepoint is competitively priced compared to McAfee. For a similar setup, Forcepoint might take fewer days to install, which means lower service fees.
Forcepoint's pricing is moderate. However, transitioning to solutions like Palo Alto or FortiGate, despite potentially higher initial costs, could offer better long-term value due to their advanced features and performance.
Compared to the other products in the market, Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway can be a cost-effective tool. My company does not want to look at a tool that offers fewer capabilities at a low cost compared to the other products in the market.
I would rate the affordability of Forcepoint SWG as a two out of ten. It is relatively expensive. While some other products, such as firewalls and application firewalls, offer similar functionalities, they might be more cost-effective. However, the specific web security features provided by Forcepoint contribute to its high price.
The pricing depends upon the number of users. If an organization has 800 users, they can use 800 licenses. It's user-based licensing. The solution is cheaper than Zscaler.

Overall, I am not aware of the option to pay for one time use of Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway. We sometimes take out a monthly subscription to the product but prefer to do so on an annual basis.
Licensing cost is also dependent on the number of licenses. When users increase from 100 to 500 or from 1,000 or even 20,000, that licensing cost automatically decreases. And if there is a limited license, you can say there is a fixed price, for use of the licensing. Licensing is flexible. License pricing information is based on the customer, their environment, and on the future approach. For example, are they're going to move forward with this environment? Will they be increasing their system to more users? There are additional costs for URL filtering, Web isolation, and CASB integration. For the normal scenarios, if I am talking about URL filtering, there is no additional component for that. There's a single license, the standard license for the URL filtering and if you want to add web isolation, that is definitely something you need to pay more for. Even if you want to increase your storage limit for the log, you definitely need to pay for the storage as well. To start with, the retention period is 90 days.
The pricing on Forcepoint Web Security is fair. Fair pricing at current market rates, if you are comparing with the competition. Forcepoint Web Security is better than Fortinet because Fortinet is free. They still come under the enterprise level of security implementation though.
Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway is a secure web gateway (SWG) tool that provides multiple forms of protection against malware, including blocking categories of websites, inline scanning of downloaded files, and zero trust-based advanced threat protection. The solution monitors and controls any interaction with any website, including blocking access to websites based on category and risk score, blocking download of malware, blocking upload of sensitive data to personal file sharing accounts,...
