Sometimes, the product does not connect with the Wi-Fi. It usually does, but sometimes, if I'm using another Wi-Fi apart from my work Wi-Fi, it does not connect. It shows some error. If I have to work in a remote location, it gets difficult. When it happens, I have to restart the computer. The performance is not always effective. The performance could be improved.
The solution's configuration could be made easier. Cisco IOS SSL VPN has different service scenarios and features. For a different feature, we must configure a different type of settings and deploy them in external environments, which users find hard to deploy.

From my perspective, Cisco has a history of problems with the area of web filtering, because of which my company sometimes had to change the vendor and the appliance. The aforementioned area needs to be considered for improvement in the product. Previously, in our company, we used Trend Micro, and later, we switched to another solution. In our company, we changed many vendors in the last ten years. If you want to implement a solution, you need to follow the new implementation procedure, so from VIX to IM, there are many changes. In general, the pricing of the product should improve, and it should be made easier to deploy.

The Secure Plus Connect product could be improved with many enhancements in any price license, especially for licensing. Cisco could simplify the licensing; it could make it easier to order and use the features. The UI could be improved for the licensing part. Additionally, Cisco could integrate global traffic balancing features into the new firmware for the firewall, which would be beneficial for administrators.

The solution's graphical user interface is not very user-friendly. I assume that Cisco IOS SSL VPN has a better VPN client, which works better on Windows 10 or Windows 11 machines. Our clients struggled with the solution's VPN client on Windows 7 machines.
When many people are using the internet at home, which is usually right after dinner, this type of service is a little bit hard to use. The internet becomes quite slow, and sometimes, I have to stop using this application. I am not sure if this issue is because of the application or my internet provider.
The company sets the policies for the default location, and destination, which the VPN connects. If there is a problem with one of those locations, which happens sometimes when I travel I need to have an option to select a different available location. Currently, I am unable to see that from a user's point of view.
Sometimes the connection drops, and we don't like that. I'm not sure the reason, but sometimes it will take time to connect or it will disconnect fast.
In addition to Cisco, we work with other solutions on behalf of our customers, such as Fortinet for FortiGate, but this latter solution can achieve the same results at a lower price. FortiGate does not charge the client a licensing fee, although Cisco charges clients a couple of dollars per year for each license. Other brands, such as Fortinet and even Juniper, do not charge a fee for the very good training they provide, but Cisco does. Cisco should make itself available at a discount, if not for free.

Only its mobile-based application is available right now. We cannot use it, for example, on laptops. That's the only drawback. It would be nice if we could use this not just on mobile, but on laptops and desktops as well.

I am mostly satisfied with the product. The biggest issue and the reason we do not make more use of it is the pricing. If Cisco can provide us discounts like Microsoft we could make better use of the product. There are other organizations providing discounts to non-profits. They realize the need, and they are creating programs. Microsoft has discount programs for non-profits. With Amazon, we have joined a special program where they are providing us services at a discount for non-profit. Cisco is quite expensive in comparison. So we decide to use what makes the most sense for our model. We see that there are these offers and we decide to use Amazon for some purposes. So if Cisco did have a similar program — a non-profit program — it would be great for the utilization of other products as well. We don't have a big budget like enterprise businesses and we budget more like a small business does. But at the moment, for Cisco, we pay the same price that everybody else pays. If they had programs for non-profits, more non-profits would join the program and make use of their services. We would like to expand to use many other products from Cisco as well. We need them. But we're not able to choose them because of the pricing. We want to use the Cisco products because they service the enterprise level and we would like to have Cisco firewalls, switches, and everything. Unfortunately, the pricing is making us get out from incorporating Cisco products.
It can be difficult to find service and at times we cannot connect with the internet easily. It should be easier to find an internet connection through vendors. They could have a better internet router solution.
I think the management of the design of the console or portal needs to improve because when you compare it to other vendors, you find that the graphical interface is old. I do, however, believe that the newer version has an improved graphical interface. An improvement in the scalability of the solution will also be great.
Cisco SSL VPN solutions help you easily and securely extend the network to users who have access to the Internet and a web browser. You can customize access and extend the reach of your corporate network to individuals based on their roles, including teleworker contractors and business partners.

The solution takes some time to log in because of some unavoidable security barriers, but it would be better if that could happen faster.
It would be helpful if Cisco IOS SSL VPN could help us set up devices on our iPads and phones.

Cisco IOS SSL VPN should add a sensor that can authenticate with a fingerprint instead of having to type the username and password every time.

The configuration is critical and complex. Also, the code should be updated from time to time. The speed should also be improved.

Cisco IOS SSL VPN doesn't support the configuration of multiple VPNs.
The product’s dashboard is not good enough.
The product has been stable. I have no notes in terms of areas of improvement.

The internet becomes quite slow, and sometimes, I have to stop using this application. I am not sure if this issue is because of the application or my internet provider.
The flexibility of configurations could be improved. Most companies are going to GUI which is comparatively easier to configure in other solutions.

The administration should be improved.

Sometimes browsers are not able to support a certain file, so that is something that can improve.
I think the administration can be improved to include web interfaces. And I also feel that the deployment of the clients can be better.
The solution needs to solve the issues they have with Java. Cisco device management is quite difficult. They should work to simplify this.

The pricing needs to be better because you need a license for every device.

I would like for it to have support for the Dutch language. I typically use English in 99% of our communications but for some people, it matters.
In terms of what needs improvement, it should have better integration. Although, it might have already been taken care of.
