Restores files accidentally deleted by developers and efficiently blocked a lot of attacks against our servers
The backup, the vulnerability assessment, and the anti-malware capabilities have been most impactful for data protection. Acronis approaches cybersecurity holistically, focusing on five key pillars: * Protection * Detection * Response * Recovery * Forensics It covers the need to block threats, investigate incidents, and ensure disaster recovery. This approach aligns well with current cybersecurity trends, including backups and deploying Malware Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems alongside Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems. While it doesn't yet include features like password management or security awareness training for end-users, Acronis has announced plans to integrate those in upcoming updates.

A reliable platform with good encryption process for data security
Setting up iDrive is straightforward and easy. The local software can be installed after setting up everything in the cloud. The deployment process can take a few hours or more depending on the complexity of the structure you want to create. Integrating iDrive into our ecosystem was not complex. I handled the deployment process by myself and did not need much workforce for deployment. Our IT technicians handle all implementations and changes. The maintenance process for iDrive is smooth, but often faces challenges in terms of sensitivity to internet bandwidth variations. If there's a large variation, it might pause the backup process. But in such cases, the notifications keep us updated as it is very swift and reliable.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The update process is quite efficient. They send admin alerts one day in advance when updating data centers or products."
"The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console."
"Once you deploy, it's very easy to manage. It took us about an hour to deploy."
"The agent, which is installed on the system, can do Quality of Service."
"The product is a good anti-ransomware solution."
"It is easy to use. I don't need any help to figure out how to do it. It is also very easy to install and upgrade. It is very simple and easy to use for restoring. It supports universal restoration. I can restore a full machine to another hardware with this, which is a very good feature."
"The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console."
"The ease of implementation is the solution's most valuable feature."
"The encryption process is the most useful part of using iDrive for data security. I also use the background backup feature which helps me to clone and conduct computer backup. These features are very reliable, especially when restoring images from damaged servers. But I don't use the real-time backup feature; I always use the scheduled backup."
"iDrive will keep up to 30 versions of a file."

Cons

"Acronis Backup Cloud can improve by having fewer updates and patches to the solution. Additionally, should improve the functions that already exist in the solution rather than add new ones."
"Acronis may claim it's due to security reasons, but I believe there should be an option to delete specific files from old backups stored on the Acronis Cloud. Currently, there is no such feature, and I strongly feel the need for a deletion option for erroneous backups."
"On the client-side, the antivirus engine was slowing down their finance server terribly."
"I would like to see more integration with SIEM solutions."
"Not many people know about this product, so they may need to concentrate more on marketing."
"Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud needs to be more flexible with its pricing."
"We are forced to purchase space in Acronis' private cloud, which is expensive."
"The solution could improve by being more user-friendly."
"The disadvantage of using real-time backup in iDrive is that it significantly impacts server performance, causing considerable speed issues. The archiving process needs improvement along with the management of bandwidth and CPU. There should also be more options for creating conditions to manage the workload of the environment, making the system easier to balance."
"I’ve had issues like the scheduler mysteriously erasing my settings. I have to babysit it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of Acronis Backup Cloud is good. They have several licensing models that customers can choose from."
"The solution is moderately priced."
"We pay for whatever we use, and they bill us accordingly."
"I would rate the pricing of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as five out of ten"
"The price of the product falls under a medium range."
"Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud's price is reasonable."
"The product is not expensive. It's in the middle. For its capabilities, it's on the affordable side."
"The pricing is a little lower than the competition, at least in India."
"According to our evaluation done five to seven years ago, iDrive is cheap and it covers a lot of our needs."
