Restores files accidentally deleted by developers and efficiently blocked a lot of attacks against our servers
The backup, the vulnerability assessment, and the anti-malware capabilities have been most impactful for data protection. Acronis approaches cybersecurity holistically, focusing on five key pillars: * Protection * Detection * Response * Recovery * Forensics It covers the need to block threats, investigate incidents, and ensure disaster recovery. This approach aligns well with current cybersecurity trends, including backups and deploying Malware Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems alongside Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems. While it doesn't yet include features like password management or security awareness training for end-users, Acronis has announced plans to integrate those in upcoming updates.

Simplify compliance and management of multiple backups with centralized cloud solutions
AWS Backup could benefit from including more services. Currently, it only includes around ten services, while AWS offers over three hundred plus services. Also, it would be helpful if AWS Backup could integrate logs more thoroughly. This would allow not only new users but also experienced users to more easily check logs directly from AWS Backup.

Pros

"It is easy to use. I don't need any help to figure out how to do it. It is also very easy to install and upgrade. It is very simple and easy to use for restoring. It supports universal restoration. I can restore a full machine to another hardware with this, which is a very good feature."
"Once you deploy, it's very easy to manage. It took us about an hour to deploy."
"I have experience with the technical team of the product, and I feel that they offer good support."
"Data protection and ransomware protection are the most valuable features of the solution."
"The platform's most valuable features include its backup functionality, particularly the snapshot and image backup capabilities."
"Disaster recovery is good."
"The solution has helped us maintain the backups, compliance, and integrity of the data residing on the servers and endpoints."
"The most valuable feature I have found the be the management console it is very easy to use and automation is important. Additionally, overall the solution is easy to use."
"RDS backup is one of the most crucial components of any client's cloud environment, so we generally use that. Additionally, we store EBS snapshots in S3."
"AWS Backup is secure and comes with a vault that ensures data is never deleted, offering great security."
"It's very easy to configure. Since it's a managed service, it's very straightforward to set up and use. And my customers get on with it very fast."
"The most valuable features we have found are the flexibility in the services offered."
"The replication in the recovery region is the most valuable feature."
"When I was using an on-premises backup, there was an external hard drive or something like that. I had a backup server, but I had a few problems related to transfer when I had to restore something that I have deleted. I had to wait for after-office hours to do something like that, but now I just have to send a mail. Within one hour, I have my restored file."
"It is an easy-to-use solution."
"The most valuable feature is its ease of use."

Cons

"The solution's provisioning of packages and how they are charged could be improved."
"The agent stability needs improvement."
"The solution is expensive."
"I don't see any room for improvement in the solution itself, but their marketing could be better. Dealers and customers aren't aware of this product or the company, so maybe they should concentrate more on marketing."
"I would like to see more integration with SIEM solutions."
"The pricing policies could be improved. So in future releases of the product, I would like to see better pricing, primarily."
"Acronis Backup Cloud can improve by having fewer updates and patches to the solution. Additionally, should improve the functions that already exist in the solution rather than add new ones."
"I would like to see more mature XDR and EDR features. Additionally, for backups, I would like more replication options beyond the current VMXI replication."
"If AWS Backup were a hybrid solution that also supported on-premises backups then it would be very helpful, especially if you are doing a migration to the cloud."
"To create a plan and for all the configuration, one has to do multiple steps, which could be organized in a much simpler way, making the user experience better."
"One improvement I would like to see in AWS Backup is the implementation of incremental backups."
"If AWS could also add some hybrid cloud features to AWS Backup, that would be a significant improvement. For example, currently, AWS Backup only backs up to the S3 and Amazon Cloud, and you can only restore from the Amazon Cloud only. However, some people have hybrid environments. They have some workloads on-premises and some workloads in the cloud."
"One of the limitations of AWS Backup is that it only does file-based copying."
"Its cost could be better than a few of its competitors."
"There are some limitations to partial backup in AWS Backup."
"When it comes to encrypting data, it is not so convenient."
