Real-time data integration enhances operational efficiency and flexibility
As a client developer and solutions architect, I use Anaplan for building modules and deploying logic end-to-end. I work closely with the business in an agile manner to ensure the model aligns with business needs Anaplan offers flexibility in building different options within the platform. The…

Simplifies finance processes and is easy to use but requires a user-friendly interface
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a user-friendly ERP solution that is quite simple. It has a very straightforward interface, which allows end users, especially those with a finance background like me, to engage in finance areas such as vouchers, manual vouchers, email receipts, and GL analysis efficiently. This ERP system is easy to handle; anyone can learn it faster compared to other ERPs. For smaller companies or startups, I would recommend JD Edwards.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best thing is that it's very intuitive and user-friendly. You don't need coding skills to manipulate the platform."
"I am impressed with the tool’s real-time calculations and intuitive interface. The tool’s user interface is the best compared to other software that I have worked with. I also find the tool’s management reporting feature valuable."
"You don't need to have a programming language to use Anaplan."
"This product has a very good modeling feature, and its graphical representation of visualizations has also been valuable."
"Anaplan's in-memory calculation engine is super-fast compared to the old tools we previously used. You enter the data and everything shows up in one go."
"Anaplan's scalability stands out compared to other platforms, especially for scenario planning and what-if analysis."
"It's simple to use with a lot of functions."
"Anaplan is a three-dimensional cloud platform that is good for analyzing data, visualization, integration, terrific for visibility."
"The solution is very customizable according to business needs."
"JD Edwards is highly scalable and suitable for both small teams and large enterprises with hundreds of users."
"It is highly configurable. You have a choice in terms of how you want to run it. You can run it in your own data center, in a private cloud, or in a public cloud. The choice is really up to the customer."
"It has simplified the process completely, and even though it has many features which are available in the market now, but it is on par with the other ERPs that are available in the market now."
"The solution is stable."
"The financial management features are convenient and helpful in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne."
"The most valuable features of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne are the flexibility of the configuration, it is highly configurable. It is not rigid as other solutions, such as SAP. They have recently added a custom workflow approach and approval workflows."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a user-friendly ERP solution that is quite simple."

Cons

"The visualization tools in the product are limited in comparison to other reporting tools."
"It would be nice if the solution offered better extensions."
"Space and integration are a problem."
"The solution can improve by providing an easier form of integration to different platforms, such as receiving data from different Salesforce. There is a process to do it through the use of some APIs but it could be made much easier. This would be a large help to us."
"The dashboard could be better. Because within a dashboard or report, you have to do a lot of scrolling. You need to scroll down because the table doesn't fit in a single view. That's why even the users aren't happy with that kind of user experience. They need to scroll to see all the data, and it could be better if it fits in just one page. That way, you can see everything. In the next release, I want automation that's connected to Anaplan. For example, to load master data from SAP to Anaplan. I don't know if this already exists, but a log where you can see the progress and see if there's an error will also help. It would be better to give you the error message, for example, if there is an error within the automated process importing to Anaplan."
"The solution could improve by better dashboards and while entering the form loss and project implementation the ability to use graphical shapes more effectively."
"Anaplan should come up with flexible options to connect to a data warehouse rather than an Anaplan hub."
"There are so many business rules to set up in the system that as a business user it's hard to gauge what they're doing and it's possible to get lost."
"The solution could be easier to implement. However, the complexity was in our internal processes meeting our country's requirements. Every country has a slightly different process, taxation, and rules. That was the difficult part, not the solution itself. I expect our experience would have been more or less the same with any ERP, such as SAP, Navision, or Dynamics."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is more of a legacy solution because most of the competitors are or have moved to the cloud. It would be beneficial if there was a cloud version available. Additionally, the interface could improve."
"Lacking in certain areas of support."
"EnterpriseOne's integration could be improved."
"For large or sophisticated organizations, I would not recommend JD Edwards."
"Localization features are critical for all regions. Improving these features in various countries and markets is essential to meet customer needs."
"The initial setup was complex...One should get the end-user manual because, in some parts, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is not user-friendly."
"They need to improve the logs and need to write some sort of script that clears logs after so many days."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are currently using a free workspace license for 90 days. We are satisfied with the price of the solution. There are additional costs if you want more storage, the default limit is 250 GB."
"Anaplan is a bit pricier compared to its competitors - the license costs about $4,000 per user annually."
"The license is a yearly subscription. There are three licensing tiers: the model builder, planner, and the reporting."
"A value-for-money product and a very reasonable price compared to competitors like SAP or IBM."
"This is a yearly subscription. So a customer initially buys a workspace and specifies how much GB they want. The minimum starts at around 30 GB. You can buy multiple workspaces."
"The cost of Anaplan is a challenge for clients, especially if they don't have an ongoing long-term use case for it. It's a $50,000 licensing fee just to get started. Clients need a strong business case to switch from Excel to Anaplan. But if clients have used something similar in the past, such as Hyperion or other solutions, that's not a factor because they know what to expect."
"The entry-level is anywhere from about $30,000 to $50,000 a year, however, it does go up significantly after that depending on the complexity and how much space you're using."
"This is an expensive product and if the price were reduced then it would attract more customers."
"In terms of price, it is not on the high end."
"More transparent pricing of the software is needed."
"The pricing is very high. Even though the license is perpetual yet you have to get the maintenance. Since we pay using Pesos, it's very expensive."
"The pricing is an "arm-and-a-leg". This keeps the customers away from going for J.D. Edwards."
"The price of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is high. However, every ERP solution has a high price."
"The licensing costs are on a yearly basis, and there are no additional costs."
"JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has a lot of value for the money. The implementation cost and license cost are quite reasonable compared to other solutions, such as Oracle EBS or SAP."
"The solution's pricing depends on the deal and the number of users."
