Pricing competitiveness and remote management have enhanced network flexibility
One of the most valued aspects of Aruba access points is their price competitiveness; they are available at half the price of Juniper access points. Additionally, they do not require any kind of license for implementation. Despite this, many customers have their own firewall, and they can control everything from their firewall, ensuring flexibility. Furthermore, the ease of management with Aruba access points enables customers to connect them directly to their network via a PoE switch and manage them remotely from mobile devices.

Reliable and high-performance wireless networking with exceptional stability, scalability, and robust feature set
One of the most valuable features I appreciate is auto channelization, facilitated by a proprietary product called ChannelFly. This feature enables APs in a specific zone to automatically adjust their channels, optimizing performance. Additionally, Ruckus Wireless stands out for its ability to reuse certain beams, resulting in smaller data spots. In my experience with various products, Ruckus Wireless consistently delivers unparalleled throughput, coverage, and reliability in wireless networking across different environments. As a noteworthy point, the newly launched WiFi 7 standard is measured against Ruckus's WiFi 7 AP, establishing it as the global benchmark. When it comes to WiFi, Ruckus sets the standard, outperforming competitors with its superior performance and capabilities.

Pros

"The product’s most valuable feature is its ability to offer wireless connectivity to any service provider."
"Aruba Access Points are reliable and easy to implement."
"Aruba Access points easily integrate with existing network infrastructure."
"It offers remarkable client-handling capacity."
"I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. It is a stable product."
"The main strengths of Aruba Access Points lie in their connectivity, range, and straightforward configuration. Setting up the access point is a quick process, taking only seconds. Standard features such as identity access management, captive deploy tools, and VLE are available. Additionally, Aruba offers medical-grade access points like the 400 series, which is well-suited for healthcare or hospital environments. One noteworthy feature is the impressive handshaking capability, particularly when transitioning between access points. This ensures a seamless experience without disconnection, especially when a well-designed heat map is in place. Aruba Access Points are robust and require minimal maintenance, making them reliable for long-term use."
"The product is quite accessible and reliable."
"The product's initial setup phase is very simple and very easy to use."
"I like the price and its capacity."
"It's stable."
"I am familiar with the brand and it works well."
"Ruckus has allowed us to deploy better Wi-Fi coverage in the past few years."
"It ensured our Internet service was always up, allowing us to serve our customers 24/7."
"Key features are integrated WiFi client performance tools, sophisticated user access controls, and easy and understandable controls and interfaces."
"It has one of the smoothest operations."
"The most valuable feature of Ruckus Wireless is its exceptional performance and reliability. The signal is highly reliable. We have not received a single complaint in the past year, which is a marked improvement from our prior equipment."

Cons

"The solution's lead time is very slow and should be improved."
"I am not able to integrate Aruba Access Points in Azure AD. It is also quite expensive."
"The tool could be cheaper."
"Some customers comment that the shape and size of the access point is a little big, especially the one installed in the guest room."
"In Aruba Access Points, the security part is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"Aruba sometimes redesigns Aruba Central and the web interface, which is sometimes an annoyance."
"I would like Aruba to provide integration capabilities for Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Directory, or other identity verification engines like Okta, Google Identity, or Ping Identity."
"The platform’s speed for data flow could be better."
"We use this solution in a certain way, and it works very well. So, I don't expect it to do a lot more, but to do what it's doing probably better or faster. But it's not a problem with the features; it's more the operations."
"The price is one area for improvement."
"The biggest adjustment improvement will come from a price adjustment because the price is quite high; it feels like premium pricing. I suggest shaving off 10 percent to 20 percent. That would help grow users and increase the number of clients."
"The solution could include more security features."
"The solution needs to have some sort of security offering, like a firewall, for example."
"The cloud solution is not mature enough."
"From my point of view, portal features are something missing in Ruckus Wireless. I want to see Ruckus Wireless integrate a Wi-Fi portal into its product. This would allow for easier user authentication for vendors."
"Its security can be improved. It doesn't use Wireless IPS. Therefore, we have to combine WatchGuard that uses a Wireless IPS but is a separate solution. These two solutions work in conjunction. We are using the WatchGuard as a sensor and Wireless IPS, and Ruckus is like a platform that is used for the connectivity of the network."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost of Aruba Access Points has been on the rise, which may be due to market dynamics or regional factors, such as in Egypt. Additionally, the availability of Aruba products is a concern, with a lead time of approximately twelve months. This prolonged waiting period and a lack of responsiveness from HP, the parent company of Aruba, have led to the cancellation of some orders. The supply chain for Aruba appears to face challenges, impacting product delivery timelines."
"The product's licensing cost is low. However, hardware is costly. Thus, it is overall expensive."
"I rate the product's price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a high price, and ten is a low price."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The product is cheaper than Cisco and Huawei."
"The tool is available in the market at a reasonable price"
"Although not cheap, Aruba Access Points is a reasonably priced solution."
"The product is more expensive than two of its competitors."
"The pricing is the biggest issue with Ruckus wireless. It's so expensive, but Ruckus are just the best."
"The cost can be prohibitive for many as it is a high-end product in the WiFi market."
"Ruckus Wireless is not an expensive solution."
"The cost per AP license should be worked on."
"Regarding pricing, Ruckus Wireless is a five out of ten. Though it's cheaper than Aruba Wireless, pricing for Ruckus Wireless, when you look at its functionality, could be more affordable."
"Ruckus is an expensive solution."
"I would rate their pricing 3 out of 5. There is no annual licensing cost."
"The price of Ruckus Wireless is less expensive than other solutions, such as Cisco."
