Offers enhancement in data accuracy with low-code requirements and easy onboarding
It's a scalable product. In our organization, we sometimes write a script once and reuse it several times, which improves workflow efficiency. Our team inputs the datasets one by one or in a batch mode into BotFarm and schedules them or calls individually as needed. For instance, if one individual has 15 or 20 forms that need to be scanned and logged immediately, it's possible to implement with BotFarm and its scheduling operations. The solution is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises and can fit in for large enterprises as well, depending upon the use case. For instance, if 100 agents are working across different locations through a mobile app, all the data from the agents can be stored in a common repository and scheduled. BotFarm can be configured based on the architecture and business operations.

Improves accuracy and has the easiest interface and good scalability
Orchestrator needs an overhaul. They have added so many functions that it is sometimes quite hard to find the right settings. They have a tree hierarchy with the host and the tenant. Some settings you do on the host, and some settings you do on the tenant. You need to know at which level you are to find what you need. It all looks very same. The other thing that I have been telling them for years is the width of the activity. You cannot change the width. I do a lot of training to show something, and I constantly have to go into the advanced editor to show what is in there, but the big thing right now is Orchestrator.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product has increased efficiency and reduced the time spent on tasks."
"The best aspect is the UI, as it is very user-friendly."
"The most valuable features are PDF extraction and emailing."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which helps to provide a good user experience."
"What I like most about BotFarm is that it's one of the leading RPA products in the market. Very few products focus on robotics today, so I like that BotFarm offers a lot in terms of what general customers expect it to do."
"They recently released the newest version that has a good program flow, quality, and blueprints that are all good improvements to the automation. They also have good integration with SAP."
"The main features of the solution are the IQ Bot and web-based automation."
"It is easy to use and very stable. It is a rugged product, and it doesn't break so easily."
"Anything you can do on a computer with enough effort, you can get the robot to do it."
"The most valuable feature is that it can be integrated with almost anything. We use in-house applications and we're able to integrate them through the database using endpoints and APIs. This sharing of information between systems via UiPath means our staff gets results quicker."
"UiPath has definitely reduced the percentage of human errors that we have in our processes. In our system, all of the bots follow our best practices so there is a very small chance of error."
"The product has freed up employee time - and it's not just the employee time. We do have some triggers that run. Some jobs are run that people use to manually do at night and weekends. We also don't have to hire additional people just to learn 80 different types of things in a claim and identify correctness manually. The robots will go through and then they can identify if there are specific things that are wrong. That part will go to our experts and they'll review those exact issues."
"I found the Library option as most valuable because first, we can avoid the development of the same task again by developing and publishing a task as an activity into the Orchestrator, and second, in case of any changes required, the developer can make the required changes and republish in the Orchestrator with the new version."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is the complete queue system-based framework because it is robust for all clients."
"The initial setup is good. There are no problems."
"The solution is very user-friendly and easy to use. It comes with pre-built automation. The tutorials are very helpful."

Cons

"The user experience could be made a little better with this solution. I find it difficult to find qualified people to be able to use the solution."
"The stability needs to be improved."
"Sometimes I feel like it doesn't work properly and we are not able to provide the dexterity needed."
"It would be ideal if the solution offered more language options, such as Arabic."
"The deployment could be made a little bit easier."
"An area for improvement in BotFarm is that the communication between the Control Room and the Bot Client Missions isn't utilized well. There's also the issue with PCI DSS compliance or certain regulations that require a set of configurations that are not fully supported by BotFarm. The product should be certified or designed according to the required regulations in the finance industry to make it better."
"We have connectivity and integration with pretty much every single tech stack across the table that we have in the world, and there are a few areas that they don't do that well yet. I'd be looking for some improvement there, in terms of their integration with certain products."
"Although I like the OCR technology, it could still be further improved."
"This is because the platform requires a multitude of building blocks even for the simplest use cases and when dealing with newer clients, this can be challenging."
"The graphics could always be improved."
"I have used the AI functionality for PDF automations. In these processes, the bot is able to capture the data properly about 70 to 80 percent of the time. But if a document is not proper or it isn't handled the right way, the bot struggles to get the required data. UiPath has to work on this aspect so that the bot will be able to completely capture the data."
"I am looking forward to new cognitive and artificial intelligence capabilities."
"I could use more standardized features, retail-style, things that I could use off-the-shelf. Right now, all this requires quite a bit of adaptation in bespoke work with UiPath, which they've done very well. But looking at it after having used it, I would get stuff that is prepackaged from them, if they were any."
"We've tried to use test automation, however, I'm not sure how well it works."
"The biggest pain point we've seen so far is that we have trouble identifying best practices in certain areas and circumstances."
"UiPath Studio supports three types of workflows: sequence, flowchart, and state machine. Flowchart and state machine are good. Sequences are also good, and they're for linear workflows. However, in a sequence, as we keep on dragging and dropping the reusable components, the size of the screen increases. If we drag and drop the conditional or looping activities on the site, the screen size increases in length and breadth, and it becomes too complex for a developer to navigate between activities."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing is on a monthly basis."
"Our licensing costs are approximately $3,000 USD annually."
"The solution prices are expensive. It would be more beneficial for customers to lower the pricing."
"The starter price is free."
"The pricing is fair."
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
"The license of this solution is on an annual basis. The price is fair. However, what we did initially was a POC, but now we are looking at moving from a POC to expanding it out further. I would appreciate some kind of discount."
"The product is slightly expensive"
"It is one of those things where you pay for convenience. Pricing-wise, UiPath is definitely way more expensive than other solutions that we have seen, especially since we also have Microsoft Power Automate, which is one of the latest tools. UiPath is on the higher end, but it is one of those decisions, "Is it worth the investment? How much are you getting as an ROI?" That is usually how the conversation goes."
"I think the pricing is reasonable. I don't think it's too much of a stretch, and I think it's where it should be."
"We license the product on a yearly basis and it costs us around $80,000."
"The licensing makes sense, but it does lead to a few adoption issues when a lot of the licenses are per user. Convincing some of our business units to pay for user licenses for either Action Center or attended robots can be a roadblock."
"UiPath is priced for the market and is even better considering the value it brings."
"It is important for whatever we implement that it's cost effective in a sense that the robots will replace some human time. If human time costs less than the robot, then that's not a good deal."
"Some features are very costly, like Document Understanding. That is why in India many customers are not using the Document Understanding license. This is a premium feature and its licensing costs are high compared to other tools."
"There are cheaper options than UiPath."
