Supports seamless authentication for users across multiple organizations and personal portals
The features I use in Cisco Duo include Duo Pushes to confirm my identity to the device, and eventually as MFA security was increased, I actually had to use exchange passcodes. Sometimes, I have to go into the site and get into Cisco Duo to retrieve the passcode, and many of them have been two-factor, where the sites send a passcode that I have to enter into Cisco Duo. It has been more of the latter. I have not seen issues with lagging or crashing on Cisco Duo's end; it was usually on the client end, often because someone set up a bad upgrade or there were connection issues with the Cisco Duo cloud through the administrative site.

Pros

"Cisco Duo has benefited our company overall by giving us the ability to have multi-factor authentication."
"The authentication process is very smooth and secure."
"The single pane of glass management is very important and it is part of the reason we went with Duo, and anything we can do to save time for our administrators, help desk staff, and engineers, is valuable to us."
"Clients I implemented Cisco Duo at immediately feel more confident in their security environment, and we can see a lot of illegal attempts to get in, giving me faith in the product."
"Multifactor authentication and secure two-factor authentication are the most valuable features. It's been around for a while, but now it's becoming an enforced behavior as opposed to something that you used to do as optional."
"Cisco Duo benefits the company by increasing the security footprint, and it is easy to manage users, disable users, or bypass if needed in case of an emergency."
"Cisco Duo is quick to deploy and easy to start."
"Duo Security gives us an additional layer of security that would give us added confidence that our network will be less likely to get hacked, compromised, or otherwise."
"In 2005 we started with a managed authentication service for three small companies with each having approx. 250 users, and now we have 25 large enterprises/government departments with over 150,000 authenticating users and an uptime of nearly 100% over the last five years."
"RSA Authentication Manager is a robust solution that provides comprehensive protection for both on-premise and cloud-based applications."
"The single sign-on feature is the most important."
"The most valuable feature is the SecurID."
"RSA Authentication Manager is the best available solution."
"It stands out as a comprehensive and adaptable solution that excels in both on-premises and cloud-based authentication, offers strong security with multi-layered authentication, and boasts a well-maintained product with reliable performance."
"The technical support has been great; their service is perfect."
"I have found RSA Authentication Manager to be scalable."

Cons

"Scalability could be better if the price were reduced, as scaling is quite expensive."
"Duo Security could improve by being more compatible with other vendors."
"In Cisco Duo, what could be improved is having more features."
"Compared to other vendors, Cisco Duo is on the pricey end."
"What I dislike about Cisco Duo is that anything that Cisco Duo lacks, we can do through Microsoft, which is a workaround because we're integrated with Microsoft, and that was the first thing I did."
"Cisco Duo is definitely not doing things that others are not doing, so there is no unique selling proposition."
"Regarding the pricing, setup costs, and licensing, I find that for some companies using Azure, they question why they should switch when they already have Microsoft Authenticator, which can make it commercially challenging when explaining why they need to transition to Cisco Duo."
"I cannot think of a specific feature that should be focused on for improvement, but perhaps addressing the trouble we have when people are changing phones would help."
"We have encountered issue when trying to expand this particular solution for a large set of users across the country."
"The price needs to be improved."
"There is room for improvement in the RSA support."
"We are seeing a lot of difficult issues in terms of RSA, especially the cloud-based two-factor authentication process."
"We found technical support was not very responsive to our requests for assistance."
"The reporting needs to be improved, and they should be delivered by email."
"The product's capabilities to protect cloud environments need improvement."
"We are not planning on using the solution in the future."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I haven't seen any information on the pricing in four years, so I can't comment on that."
"During testing we are allowed a certain number of licenses for free."
"You pay per user when using this solution and the pricing is fair."
"Duo Security is free."
"The cost was reasonable. Licensing was pretty straightforward for a change."
"Price-wise, the solution has been very, very reasonable...Licensing is the last thing I think about Duo Security because it's so easy, and I had no problems with it."
"Overall, the pricing is fair. Customers can wrap it into their Enterprise Agreement, making it easier for them to solve their issues."
"It's a bit confusing because we're on a three-year plan with a certain number of licenses, and we've gone over that number. They told us that when we renew, they will add all these licenses. We've expanded quickly, so everyone's kind of scared because no one knows what the bill is with the long pricing cycle."
"The pricing is a little bit complicated because sometimes resellers are able to make prices that are too low. Our price, with a discount, is typically not as high as some of our competitors."
"As a new customer, the minimum cost would be four dollars, but you have room for negotiation, potentially bringing it down to as low as three dollars."
"The solution is costly."
