Room For Improvement

Cisco UCS Manager needs a user-friendly interface, better integration, enhanced security, improved automation, and simplified deployments.
LogicMonitor users seek enhanced monitoring customization, automation, reporting, performance monitoring, and improved alarm, topology, dashboards, and email alert features.
It doesn't work straight out of the UCS, so someone who knows what they're doing is needed immediately, and it can be quite confusing.

Setup Cost

Cisco UCS Manager is reliable but costly, with high licensing and setup costs compared to competitors like Dell and HP.
LogicMonitor offers competitive pricing at $7.75 per device, with discounts, and justifies its cost through robust functionality.
As long as they can afford it, there is a setup cost involved.

Valuable Features

Cisco UCS Manager unifies IT resources with user-friendly management, efficient deployment, strong security, and excellent compatibility within Cisco's infrastructure.
Dashboards provide interactive visualization, custom monitoring, robust reporting, and integration with alerts, Google Maps, NetFlow, and AI-driven anomaly detection.
One of the valuable features is the user interface base, specifically the C user interface.

They have an active community of users who are willing to share their experiences and how they have extended the solution to do unusual things.
I'm a learn-by-example person, so it would be nice to have a cookbook for enterprise management. They have a rich API process, but there aren't many examples of how to do enterprise-style work. It is peculiar about how to do it for one device, but not necessarily thousands. LogicMonitor can effortlessly pull data from one item at a time. I have yet to find an excellent way to get LogicMonitor to show me all the WAN devices and how they're doing in terms of capacity.
