Has become an indispensable tool in our cybersecurity arsenal
While Zafran Security is already a powerful tool, there are areas where it could be further improved to provide even greater value. One key area for enhancement is the searching capabilities within its vulnerabilities module. By incorporating the ability to create Boolean searches, users would gain the ability to apply more complex filters and customize their search criteria. This would greatly enhance the precision and efficiency with which security teams can identify and prioritize vulnerabilities. Having such tailored search capabilities would save time and resources by narrowing down vast lists of vulnerabilities to those that meet specific parameters relevant to our unique risk environment. Additionally, integrating more robust reporting and visualization tools would be advantageous. Enhanced dashboards that offer customizable visual representations of risk configurations and threat landscapes would facilitate better communication with stakeholders, making it easier to explain vulnerabilities and the rationale behind certain security measures. This would also aid in demonstrating the improvements and value derived from existing security investments to leadership and non-technical team members.

Passive scanning excels and support proves invaluable
Regarding the cons of the Claroty Platform, it is not about the deployment, but rather the identification. The Claroty Platform becomes too noisy when it gives numerous CVEs related to vendor match. Sometimes, these CVEs are not actually related to the device in the firmware at the site. The Claroty Platform identifies effectively but sometimes identifies many CVEs which might not be the actual issue in certain scenarios.

We have seen a night and day difference in mean time to detect reduction
Incident response is one of the key areas where the solution has been very useful. Whenever there is an incident, instead of being reactive, the government is now able to quickly gain the data that it needs to see what its end agency is also seeing and partner with them in real-time to look at the same data and to collaborate where needed, empowering the agency to be able to do their job. When it comes to the mean time to detect, we see a night and day difference. When you have an MSP model with visibility across multiple entities, your ability to get a tip, follow up on the tip, and investigate it is night and day. There's no comparison between having visibility and having across-agency visibility. SentinelOne has definitely reduced their mean time to respond. With this visibility, you can now respond. Before, there was no visibility, so we definitely see a big difference. With visibility into endpoint telemetry, SentinelOne does provide useful information to find threat actors and empowers those who are in the business of threat hunting. Prior to this, the alternative was partnering with an agency. going on-site and getting access. Now, being able to do that work remotely in real-time, it's a ninety-day difference in terms of being able to quickly, correctly, quickly respond and partner with the end agencies. That's a definite benefit. As an architect, I'm very curious about how AI takes security the next step forward, what it enables people to do differently, more quickly, or more comprehensively, and how that meets some of the needs today. I think that AI holds a lot of potential, and it can allow analysts to do their job quicker. It can allow them to do their job with more helpful context and, as a result, be able to perform orders of magnitude better than they would have without the tool.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We saw benefits from Zafran Security almost immediately after deploying it."
"We are able to see the real risk of a vulnerability on our environment with our security tools."
"With Zafran Security, it integrates with your security controls, allowing you to take that risk score and reduce it based on the controls in place or increase the risk based on different factors, such as if the issue is internet reachable or if there's an exploit in the wild."
"Zafran is an excellent tool."
"Overall, we have seen about eighty-seven percent reduction of the number of vulnerabilities that require urgency to remediate, specifically the number of criticals."
"Zafran has become an indispensable tool in our cybersecurity arsenal."
"I appreciate the active coding, deep inspection of packages, and data retrieval. The tool covers information about assets and attack vectors, which I find superior to other tools. Based on alerts, I create reports detailing how an attacker can penetrate the plant, both externally and internally."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the map, which shows everything that is connected and communicates with each other."
"Customer service is number one and the best."
"The platform ensures security without imposing significant delays."
"Claroty identifies all vulnerabilities available in our environment."
"I like how the tool does passive and active discovery and threat detection and shows risks, recommendations, and vulnerabilities. It gives risk scores and gathers everything in one place - IP, device name, etc. We can integrate it with other tools for overall network mapping. It's useful for audits, compliance, and monitoring of all devices in the industry. It provides both monitoring and control. We also have SRA for incident response, which lets us search all alerts if we deploy the Claroty Platform."
"The platform ensures security without imposing significant delays."
"Claroty assigns a score based on how well you are doing in the course. If you skip a video, your score decreases, making it essential to watch the content attentively."
"The AI-based detection, scanning, prevention and mitigation features are the most valuable features."
"The biggest value for us is getting a much better picture of what our risks are."
"SentinelOne Singularity Identity provides machine learning capabilities for threat detection; among the use cases, I have found static AI, behavioral AI, and dynamic AI to help with malware detection, so there are three types of AI in the Singularity console agent."
"I like the detection and protection features. We don't need to do anything, and it will alert us when the mitigation is not successful. We only need to target those endpoints. Otherwise, we don't have to do anything about that."
"SentinelOne enhances our customers' risk management."
"Having high visibility into all of our network concerns and a customizable UI are the most valuable features."
"One of the top things we're interested in is cloud protection."
"Their ability to quickly incorporate our needs into new releases is truly impressive and sets them apart."

Cons

"The dashboarding and reporting functionality of Zafran Security is an area that definitely could use some improvements."
"Initially, we were somewhat concerned about the scalability of Zafran due to our large asset count and the substantial amount of information we needed to process."
"I think the ability to have some enhanced reporting capabilities is something they can improve on, as they have good reports but we have asked for some specific reporting enhancements."
"If more AI features could be included with the Clarity solution, it would be feasible for everybody."
"Claroty Platform only gives the vulnerabilities based on the make and model of the devices, so it doesn't provide any resolution or any detailed explanation of how one can resolve such issues."
"Introducing an AI chatbot to assist you when you have doubts could be beneficial."
"For improvement, I think the training could be more practical. We have external training, but they're mostly theoretical. I want the solution to provide hands-on lab experience to help users learn better."
"I think the only issue is that the hardware Claroty uses is expensive."
"Occasionally, I face a login problem despite entering the correct password."
"The Claroty Platform becomes too noisy when it gives numerous CVEs related to vendor match. Sometimes, these CVEs are not actually related to the device in the firmware at the site."
"Claroty Platform could improve the pricing to get more acceptability in the market."
"The primary reason for this discontent is that we frequently encounter performance issues with our servers."
"The UI can be more user-friendly."
"The resolution turnaround from SentinelOne Singularity Identity's support should be improved."
"Our engineers are dealing with issues to add exclusions to the antivirus for custom applications."
"Sometimes I get kicked out of the console. I don't know why."
"The solution's query resolution time could be reduced further, and a faster resolution could be provided."
"To enhance our already strong partnership with SentinelOne, we should focus on improving collaboration."
"Our company has different locations, such as Sunbury, Oklahoma, and Alabama. I have my devices by location, and I have not found a way to choose all the endpoints and then push the update automatically. I have been doing it one by one."

"It's a bit expensive compared to other solutions."
"As a SentinelOne partner, we offer competitive pricing on comprehensive packages that include the SentinelOne license, our management services, and a proof-of-concept to ensure the technology meets your needs."
"The cost of SentinelOne Singularity Identity is better than CrowdStrike."
"Its price is a little bit high. It is a nice product, but it comes at a cost. Compared to other products, it is not cheap, but you sometimes have to pay for the value you get. It is not cheap, but it is worth it."

"There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing charges associated with the product...I think the prices associated with the product are okay and it is not too expensive."
