Auto scanning and enhanced security but re-adding protections need improvement
At that time, we observed certain issues with the product. The functionalities could be improved, such as the isolation feature. If we remove our protection, we cannot easily add it back. If, in our organization, we need to remove a specific system for a particular time, we cannot add it back for security after doing so. This is one thing we have experienced. Scalability is also lacking. If we want to do the same thing repeatedly, there's not much the solution offers; it isn't very strong.

Provides web protection and filtering and application and peripheral control
I recommend that Intercept X Endpoint should include a patch assessment feature. Various vendors offer virtual patching solutions, which could be a game-changer, especially for the financial sector where frequent service restarts are challenging. These solutions allow patching servers without the need for restarts. Incorporating these features into Intercept X Endpoint would enhance its effectiveness in securing endpoints and servers.

Pros

"The auto-scanning feature is quite beneficial."
"The most valuable feature is that it literally works. We have reduced a lot of complaints after switching to Sophos."
"The solution's initial setup process was straightforward."
"The most valuable feature is the behavioral, non-signature-based threat detection."
"The most valuable features are the cloud administration and the strength of the ransomware protection."
"Technical support from Sophos is rated as nine out of ten, which represents high quality."
"It is stable and has a good price. I find it very good."
"The most valuable features of Sophos Intercept X are the minimal configuration needed for the end user and the central view of all the endpoints. There are plenty of tools to control and manage the endpoints. Additionally, there is the capability of connecting the endpoint to the CLI."
"It is easy to change the size of its capabilities, i.e. to expand processes or scale the size of users."

Cons

"Scalability is lacking. If we want to do the same thing repeatedly, there's not much the solution offers; it isn't very strong."
"The functionalities could be improved, such as the isolation feature."
"To be a perfect product, the price would have to be a bit better."
"Needs more flexible reporting, particularly for medium to large size companies."

"From the management side, we receive detailed information. Sophos has many features, such as Threat Hunting but that comes with the XDR version of the solution. There's Sophos Intercept X and then there's Sophos Intercept X with XDR technology. We bought the XDR and then now the MTR, Managed Threat Response version available too. They have different packages for clients which gives them different options to pick from. If Sophos could combine more features into one package it would be beneficial."
"It would be a value-add if they can include integration with other technologies or solutions, like Fortinet, Blue Coat, etc."
"I have not done it, but integrating it with authenticating the users on the Windows system looks a bit complicated to me. It could be because I don't understand it."
"Should include additional integration."
"The choices offered for the on-premises and cloud-based platforms are the reverse of each other."
