Continuously improving and comes with automated response and SIEM/SOC
This is the third company I've worked with, and I've brought them in as a provider. For me, it's as good as it gets. Nobody likes to talk about tens, but they have a better record of detection than CrowdStrike, and they didn't shut down the world like CrowdStrike. If you really dig down into it, who are the founders of the companies? On the one hand, you have a guy who used to be a consultant, I believe, and we know they're full of it. On the other hand, you got a guy who hacked into an Israeli bank, I think, when he was about 15 years old. They eventually hired him, and now this is his third startup. So, when you look at it that way, there's no comparison.

Solid security and performance; overall a useful tool
We use Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response for different in-depth solutions. It's a useful tool when you want everything in one module and you don't have a big budget for security. Other use cases are behavior detection, policy management, assessments, and patch fixings The most valuable…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"If some unusual activity happens on the network, such as I open administrator sessions in a short duration of an hour on many computers in the lab, it sends me an alert about my network saying that one user opened three, four, or five sessions in one hour. Similarly, if I try to play with the disk size on a computer, it will send me an alert, and it will also stop the operation."
"We are using almost all of the features and we find it quite good overall."
"The visibility it gives is excellent."
"Cynet is unique in that it has almost everything included and it was built up from the ground, instead of a bundle of purchased and composed modules. It gives you easier very good visibility than Sentinel One as well as a lower maintenance burden."
"It's transparent, so it's not something where every user has to press a button to download or do the thing. It is centralized, in fact. Personally, I use Malwarebytes and other tools, which are fine for home use. Cynet is also relatively silent in terms of operation, except when it's required to act."
"We are very satisfied with the level of performance we get."
"I like that it is possible to use the solution to check more information about the users' devices."
"This solution requires less management and is very easy to use."
"The solution provides high-end security that is critical for financial institutions and bankers."
"Kaspersky is easy to use, and it performs well."
"My impression of the stability of this solution is good. We have not had any issues with stability."
"This solution is quite responsive and the tech support engineers are kind and good."
"Encryption is the most valuable feature. It creates an encryption tunnel from your location to the delivery address."
"The solution's most valuable features are that it offers very strong encryption and acts as an antivirus product."
"It helps improve security in our organization."
"The solution does a good job of filtering and blocking unusual traffic."

Cons

"There could be more customization options and detailed information provided in the reports."
"In terms of what could be improved, I would say the usability of this product for new threats. Meaning, not everything which is new is properly seen by the product and not all the required actions are taken."
"Increased application for SOAR abilities across interconnected devices would be a welcome improvement."
"There are some shortcomings in Cynet's integration capabilities that need improvement."
"It is an endpoint agent, but they don't have a probe for checking the network traffic. They could improve from this point of view."
"The reporting is a little weak and could be improved. The other downside is that Cynet does not use the local time zone. It's based off of Greenwich Mean Time."
"The inability to add contact information inside the Cynet is also an issue because it makes things more complicated. I would like to have a simple feature to enter a contact name and number for the person taking care of that unit or that server."
"Automation could be improved, and orchestration could be added to the features."
"My opinion is that behavior detection could work better. This feature gets a high rate of false positives."
"The solution does not offer much support to its users in Spanish, so I would like to see them offer more support in Spanish."
"There's room for improvement in customer service and support. The response time when I open a ticket or communicate with the vendor could be faster."
"Kaspersky EDR lacks protection from recent ransomware."
"If it covered more products, it would improve the XDR."
"The prices can go down a little bit."
"Kaspersky needs to strengthen its standing in the market."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Expert needs to include a traffic interface."
