Work from anywhere and backup easily while being practical
I recommend Dropbox, yet not for all of the features it has. I am a basic user. In a personal mode, we have about 100 employees, and maybe 20 of them use Dropbox as a personal backup system. ShareFile is more secure than Dropbox. Five years ago, ShareFile was qualified as having better security control, access privilege management, and version control recovery, among many features that we were using for private documentation. Overall, I would rate Dropbox an eight out of ten.

Cons

"I'd rate the scalability maybe a seven out of ten. Once I stop paying, it is an issue."
"The product could always offer more storage."
"If someone manages a large amount of data, they will need more storage, which they must purchase."
"While generally user-friendly, there is room for improvement in the user interface, especially with the introduction of new integrations and features."
"A room for improvement in Dropbox is document editing. It would be nice to have the functionality of editing the document with other people at the same time. This is something that can be done on Office 365, and it's a feature I'd like to see in the next release of Dropbox."
"Dropbox could introduce some sort of a notification with respect to how much storage you have left out of what is purchased."
"I'd like to see security improved a bit."
"Dropbox could improve by increasing its storage."
"Our customers in Canada cannot use it because it has to be compliant in the same country."
"At present, the initial setup is slow."
"Technical support is not available locally for us."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I was using the free version of the product."
"The subscription could be cheaper."
"The solution allows one only a certain amount of free storage, but he must pay for a subscription, perhaps on a six-month basis, if he wishes to maintain this."
"I find their pricing to be fairly standard and competitive when compared to the rest of the market."
"I don't pay any licensing costs."
"Users need to pay to increase the solution's capacity."
"You pay as you go, which is a good thing. There is a monthly fee, and you can also pay annually. This flexibility makes the subscription easier and affordable for some of us. I prefer yearly pricing, which is also slightly cheaper than monthly pricing."
"We must pay when we upsize to a larger space."
"Licensing is based on a per terabyte basis."
"HPE Cloud Object Storage is competitively priced and offers a good value for its solution. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees."
"Pricing is middle of the road, but it seems that it should be less expensive."
