Sentiment score
7.1
Tableau provides fast ROI through efficient reporting, quick user adoption, and cost savings, outperforming many other BI tools.
This saves a significant amount of time, particularly for reports that would have needed around fifty people.
The ROI of using Tableau extends to its seamless integration across various platforms, as it's from Salesforce and thus not limited to any specific cloud provider.

Sentiment score
8.4
Entrinsik Informer's support is highly praised for its responsiveness, expertise, and comprehensive resources, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Sentiment score
7.1
Tableau's support is praised for responsiveness, community resources, and Salesforce integration, despite occasional delay reports during peak times.
They provide quick email and phone responses and have Thai-speaking personnel.
I find Tableau's technical support to be good with elite support, but it struggles with usual, general support.
The technical support for Tableau is quite good.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
6.7
Entrinsik Informer scales effectively with minor challenges, often related to external systems rather than the software itself.
Sentiment score
6.7
Tableau offers scalable solutions for handling large data, supporting various organizations, though very large datasets may present challenges.
The solution is fully scalable and performs well even with large datasets, provided there is proper supporting hardware.

Tableau's data blending capabilities are an added feature.

Sentiment score
6.7
Entrinsik Informer offers robust stability with 99% reliability, minimal issues, resolved browser compatibility, and prompt developer support.
Sentiment score
7.4
Tableau is stable and reliable, excelling with simple data, but may slow with complex datasets; frequent updates enhance stability.
I rate the stability a five or six because Tableau updates very often with new versions or patches.

Room For Improvement

Entrinsik Informer users seek better customization, integrations, user-friendly interfaces, training, and performance improvements, highlighting report and security challenges.
Tableau requires improvements in data handling, integration, affordability, enterprise features, and advanced analytics to enhance user experience.
Pricing is also a concern for me as it is expensive compared to TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise licensing and Microsoft Power Platform.
The product owner should enhance its benefits or clarify its role.
When I want to use or present something in a certain way, it's hard to locate the necessary features.

Setup Cost

Entrinsik Informer provides cost-effective licensing and maintenance options, making it appealing to enterprise users seeking competitive pricing.
Tableau's pricing is competitive but variable, supporting large enterprises better than smaller businesses, with limited bulk discounts.
Power BI as a much cheaper alternative.
The cost for viewer rights is around $60, but it can vary based on the business and is usually for a year.
I think Tableau is expensive compared to TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise licensing and Microsoft's Azure and Power Platform.

Valuable Features

Entrinsik Informer offers easy report customization, security, multi-database support, real-time dashboards, and user-friendly interfaces for efficient data handling.
Tableau offers powerful visualizations, easy integration, customization, geospatial support, and efficient data processing for real-time analytics.
Building hyper extracts and visualization capabilities make Tableau a robust tool for data analysis.
A significant feature for me is the real-time connection to data sources because it effectively manages large data sets.
Tableau serves as a stable dashboarding tool for higher management, aiding in quick decision-making.

Provides the much requested AdHoc reporting from end-users
Prior to licensing Informer, trained report writers were executing queries at the database level. This required custom programs to secure files/fields and left gaping holes where ens-users could overwrite Vocabulary records for files and directories with the name of a report. By moving our end-users into a reporting tool solution, we were able to secure files and fields, allow users to make copies of report without changing the original version and schedule reports to key decision making on a regular basis. My IT staff was relieved of having to create links to files through computed or calculated fields to get from file to file as it iq quite easy do make the links right within Informer itself. The export features provide the flexibility of using varying formats - the .pdf totals, subtotals and detail data is the absolute bomb! The Excel exports still satisfy the Finance folks. I would also like to add that Tech Support has been nothing but stellar since implementation. If we can' figure out a way to do or execute something, we call, get a real person and its usually resolved quickly. If it needs escalation, we can expect to see an enhancement available next release. It is one of the best investments Barry University has ever made.

Real-time data connection enhances workflow and decision-making process
An area for improvement in Tableau is the Explorer license type. It is not as useful, and the product owner should enhance its benefits or clarify its role. Additionally, the frequent updates with many versions available for download can be confusing and could affect stability. They should avoid providing access to older versions on their website.
