It's easy to set up because you point the DNS to it, and it's working in under 15 minutes
Cloudflare is highly scalable. Cloudflare is a system with a web portal that the end users like me see. It's a console where we can adjust the DNS, caching, and security features all in that console. Cloudflare owns thousands of servers across the world that cache the data. It's a powerful solution. When clients sign up for Cloudflare, they're getting this monster content delivery network, security, and a web application firewall in one. It's all rolled into one, and it's massive. Unless you have your website hosted on a massive hosting provider, there's no way that you can deliver the amount of data that Cloudflare can provide to the end users. If you have static content, there's no way that you can ever match what Cloudflare can do. Obviously, there are competitors to Cloudflare that do the same, but I'm saying other types of solutions. Let's say you go with F5. Great, that's on-prem. That's in your colo. You can't deliver as much data to the internet as you can with a CDN. You don't have to spend $20,000 on a net scaler, F5, or whatever Cisco's selling now. You don't have to buy that. You pay them $50 a month or $150 a month. It's totally worth it because even in five years, you'll never get the performance value, not just the actual ROI. You have to consider how much throughput you can get with Cloudflare.

DLP great for encryptions; tech support is quite helpful
My opinion is that the dashboard could be improved and made more user-friendly. They do not enable a wide range of proper inquiries and we need to identify much of what we need on our own, like incident severity. In the next release, I'd like to see the updates working properly as the priority apps we have are not upgrading the agent that we have installed.

A product with an easy initial setup phase that is worth the money
In Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention, there is a need to improve the plug-in manager, as it is an area with shortcomings. The plug-in manager of the product should be improved so that users can choose add-ons in the tool from the solutions' offerings. In Trend Micro, the plug-in options are in the console, and users can centrally use the option on an on-premises option. You can also add the plug-in options directly from the console in the cloud. For the on-premises option, Trend Micro wanted to develop DLP in the same product only, apart from the add-on features it provided.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Cloudflare offers CDN and DDoS protection. We have the front end, API, and database in how you structure applications."
"What I like best about Cloudflare is that my company can use it to trace and manage applications and monitor traffic. The solution tells you if there's a spike in traffic. Cloudflare also sends you a link to check your equipment and deployment and track it through peering, so it's a valuable tool."
"Its ease of integration with Office 365 and the fact that it's a good product compared to what I had before"
"New and innovative way to protect the client's data."
"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare is that it has a free version. They give us the free version with the anti-DDoS features and also the load balancing solution."
"The most valuable features of the solution are performance and security."
"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare DNS is its global reach and it is always evolving."
"The tool is user-friendly."
"Scalability-wise, I rate this solution a nine out of ten."
"The fingerprinting technology is the solution's most valuable feature. It's unique to Forcepoint."
"Has multiple modules and is good with integration."
"Forcepoint offers many policies that conform to global DLP best practices, including requirements specific to regions like the Middle East, Europe, etc. They have a policy database in their product. That feature is unique to Forcepoint. Their AI and fingerprinting are incredibly effective and robust. We have tested it multiple times. It always catches the correct data being leaked."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is that it captures where the data is being moved."
"We like the ability to customize our requirements and rules, as well as its ease of use and management. It also has a cloud feature and proxy functionality."
"It has helped us meet CTI requirements. Some employees accidentally shared information and it was able to block that information. That is one of the biggest benefits we have seen from this tool."
"The ease of configuration was probably one of its biggest selling points."
"Trend Micro has improved my client's organization by recovering malware disabled network adaptors from servers."
"Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention is a reliable product."
"There are no issues with the interface."
"None of the Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention features worked well, but the solution had a straightforward setup."
"The interface and dashboard are okay."
"We use Trend Micro mainly to monitor user activities, such as tracking the websites they visit and purchase items. Additionally, we focus on identifying and addressing antivirus threats. We used to explore a feature related to proxy but decided against it as an enterprise solution wasn't readily available for us. Our primary use of Trend Micro revolves around end-user security. Integration with Active Directory has proven beneficial, allowing us to easily push updates or changes directly from the console."
"The basic setup, like configuring servers or deploying the SaaS platform and agent implementation, is straightforward."
"We find the malware scanning and intrusion detection most valuable for our server management requirements. We can find out who is on our servers and what they have done."

Cons

"I believe they currently have this feature, but there will most likely be integration with APIs so we can control some features through API."
"It would be helpful if the solution could continue evolving to compete with the other solutions on the market."
"We have noticed multiple instances where Cloudflare falsely indicates that our servers are down, even when there is no actual load on them. This makes it challenging for us to identify the exact issue."
"The timing aspect can lead to it being considered overpriced. This is a particular concern we have with Cloudflare, as they may struggle with accurately detecting the client."
"Cloudflare doesn't have a reverse lookup. We can only do a DNS lookup to get the IP address from the hostname. It doesn't work if you want to look up the hostname from an IPA address."
"It would be beneficial for us if Cloudflare could offer a scrubbing solution. This would involve taking a snapshot of my website and keeping it live during a DDoS attack, ensuring uninterrupted service for our users. DDoS attacks are typically short in duration, and having Cloudflare maintain the site's availability from its secure network would enhance the overall user experience. I would appreciate it if Cloudflare could consider implementing this feature. Many organizations already utilize similar capabilities in their CDN platforms, where a static snapshot of the web page is displayed during DDoS attacks. In terms of features, Cloudflare needs to enhance its resilience and stay more focused on adopting new technologies. For instance, solutions like F5 XC Box, Access Solution, and Distributed Cloud Solution have impressive features, and Cloudflare should strive to match and exceed those capabilities. There's a need for improvement in areas like AI-based DDoS attacks and Layer 7 WAF features. Cloudflare should prioritize enhancements in areas such as behavioral DDoS and protection against SQL injection attacks, considering the prevalent trend of public exposure to the internet for business reasons. Overall, Cloudflare needs to invest more in advancing its feature set."
"The documentation could improve for Cloudflare DNS."
"Although I think it's quite good, it doesn't provide me with all the features I would expect to have if I were using Imperva."
"The deployment can be difficult."
"The post-optical character recognization feature could be improved because it only really works on documents with some length (at least three paragraphs)."
"One area that could be improved is the support. The current support is not very good. Because they don't come on time when a customer really needs it, they take a lot of time to troubleshoot anything."
"They can improve a bit in the OCR category. The OCR deployment could be simplified. Right now, you have to set up a separate server to manage all the data going through the network, especially the images. Forcepoint could better integrate the OCR component with central management."
"There is no support for the Bangla (Bengali) language, so we cannot use the Forcepoint technology for Bangla documents."
"Overall, Forcepoint support is not very good."
"The main challenge is the solution's high cost. Additionally, there is no discount for bulk purchases, making it difficult to get budget approvals."
"The support could improve Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention."
"Typically, DLP solutions do not cover emails without an additional component, which necessitates a dual-service proposal. Comparatively, on-premises deployments offer more features locally than online or remote deployments, which sometimes face challenges with feature support. This is a common issue with Trend."
"It's hard for me to answer any questions about missing features. It's the outside companies who support us that manage this DLP solution at this moment."
"Needs a remote login option."
"Within the solution, many of the functions do not perform as intended...It is not a stable solution...It is not a scalable solution."
"They could improve the product's data loss policies."
"Having more features apart from what the product was designed for is what I'd like to see in its next release."
"Being able to specify an agent list, or client list, to allow support from outside of the organization, would be of benefit to this solution."
"The platform's support structure for government-specific domain requirements could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's pricing is minimal compared to other products."
"Cloudflare's pricing is not much higher and is good for middle-level organizations."
"So far I use free tier and happy with it. You can subscribe to business package if needed."
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"The solution has many features but there are ones that you need to pay for. Sometimes you have to find out which is available for free and which you have to pay for."
"There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees."
"I give the price a five out of ten."
"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"One feature that I'm getting ready to take advantage of more is the ability to add more data crawlers to the DLP on-prem environment, without any extra Forcepoint costs or licensing needed for that additional data server. That will help in reducing the stress on the data server that we're using now."
"It's not the cheapest solution but it's not the most expensive. It's a good price for a good product."
"Pricing for this solution could be better."
"Forcepoint DLP is a bit expensive."
"I can't comment on the cost, as a different department handles that."
"Its pricing is quite low considering the features they are offering. As compared to other solutions, it is reasonable. They do have professional support. If we need professional support, then there will be additional costs."
"Forcepoint offers a more cost-effective solution because everything, including OCR, is included in one package, unlike Symantec, where it is an add-on with an additional cost."
"The licensing of Forcepoint is quite straightforward. It's based on the number of users. The support fees are a separate cost."
"It's relatively cheap so the pricing is okay."
"It's not too expensive, especially when compared to SecureTech, and Forcepoint. It's actually cheaper. A license costs about INR 4,000 to INR 5,000, roughly $60 per license per year. In comparison, Forcepoint licenses are around $90 to $95."
"Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention is expensive compared to other solutions."
"The product is worth the money you pay for it. It is not an expensive solution."
"Price-wise, it is a cheap solution. I rate the solution's pricing a two on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high."
"The client needs to pay for the Trend Micro Integrated Data Loss Prevention license on an annual basis."
"I rate the tool's pricing a three out of ten."
"The licensing and pricing of Trend Micro are comparatively low and competitive since they are offered in a bundle, especially compared to Symantec, which was has a relatively high price."
