It's easy to set up because you point the DNS to it, and it's working in under 15 minutes
Cloudflare is highly scalable. Cloudflare is a system with a web portal that the end users like me see. It's a console where we can adjust the DNS, caching, and security features all in that console. Cloudflare owns thousands of servers across the world that cache the data. It's a powerful solution. When clients sign up for Cloudflare, they're getting this monster content delivery network, security, and a web application firewall in one. It's all rolled into one, and it's massive. Unless you have your website hosted on a massive hosting provider, there's no way that you can deliver the amount of data that Cloudflare can provide to the end users. If you have static content, there's no way that you can ever match what Cloudflare can do. Obviously, there are competitors to Cloudflare that do the same, but I'm saying other types of solutions. Let's say you go with F5. Great, that's on-prem. That's in your colo. You can't deliver as much data to the internet as you can with a CDN. You don't have to spend $20,000 on a net scaler, F5, or whatever Cisco's selling now. You don't have to buy that. You pay them $50 a month or $150 a month. It's totally worth it because even in five years, you'll never get the performance value, not just the actual ROI. You have to consider how much throughput you can get with Cloudflare.

Stable product, key part of cybersecurity strategy but country-specific configuration issues requiring manual work
The onboarding process wasn't inherently complex, but it did take some time to open ports and configure the server. We're using three components of DLP: Endpoint DLP, email DLP, and web DLP. Web DLP isn't fully configured yet because we don't have a proxy. Email DLP took some additional coordination with a third party, and our Office 365 API, but those challenges were resolved. We have it installed and deployed on-premises. We have a partner who maintains it. It covers around 3,000 endpoints. It's deployed across our branches, factories, warehouses, and head office. It covers all endpoints in those locations. The deployment took some time due to our different locations.

Flexible, provides insights into the infrastructure, and monitors movement of files effectively
The product is flexible. It takes care of our cloud infrastructure. The tool meets our needs. The normal compliance policies work well. The behavior analysis features give us insight into what is going on in the network. The tool has been pretty effective in monitoring the files that are being moved. The network integration has been fine.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Its most significant benefit to date is the speed with which it refreshes DNS records on the internet once you change it. If you are changing a website or registering a new record, it is very quick."
"I rate its stability a ten out of ten."
"The solution is stable, and the DNS servers are simple to use."
"It's very user-friendly."
"The solution provides good load balancing and protection against DDoS attacks."
"Cloudflare allows us to self-host services such as Rocket.Chat and Node-RED, in high-availability mode, thanks to round robin DNS which allows us to share one hostname between our two locations."
"The web application firewall brought us good security and a view of the accesses/blocks of the entire domain and subdomain that were accessed both by region (country) and IPs."
"Even when there is a high load on our servers, Cloudflare is able to cache the data and serve it to users, ensuring they can still access the website."
"Forcepoint Risk Adaptive Protection for DLP is purely a DLP-based solution, which makes it the best option available."
"We chose Forcepoint as part of our cybersecurity strategy, and one of the key expectations was to prevent data leakage."
"It primarily influences policy enforcement, cloud application access control, and endpoint network coverage."
"The product provides visibility to manage sensitive data and control access."
"The product is flexible."

Cons

"The solution could be more user-friendly."
"There could be more courses with engineers. I like e-learning, however, having a specialist in a classroom is more comfortable for me."
"Support response time could be improved."
"There might be helpful if there was some web application firewall feature."
"The tool needs to improve caching of servers. The product needs to include PFX certificate as well."
"Cloudflare does not have an on-premise solution. If they had different approaches they could be better suited to accommodate more customers, such as on-premise and hybrid deployments. For example, hybrid deployments would be useful where you could move the traffic from the enterprise to the cloud."
"I think the APIs are a little bit hard for us to work with. The APIs could be more open so that we could integrate better with our SolarWinds or our monitoring solution."
"I believe they currently have this feature, but there will most likely be integration with APIs so we can control some features through API."
"From an end user's perspective, it's not always clear what's happening with the DLP. It would be beneficial to have more use cases available, perhaps on a countrywide basis."
"The deployment is a little bit difficult. It requires two to three separate servers for databases and the application."
"The SaaS solution needs improvement, especially the malware-centric part, although the CASB is better but mostly data-centric. The after-sale support could also be improved."
"I rate the pricing a seven out of ten. The pricing is moderate."
"The product should be compatible with multiple file formats."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing for the service is reasonable, neither excessively cheap nor prohibitively expensive. It aligns well with the value of their solution."
"In terms of licensing costs, we don't pay for licensing for Cloudflare. We only establish communication, then for peering, Cloudflare takes care of the cross-connection in different data centers."
"There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees."
"We don't have any issues with the price."
"For Cloudflare, I recommend it heavily for small businesses with revenue under a couple of million dollars. Onboarding is easy, and they even have a free plan. This makes it simple for businesses in the $100,000-$500,000 range to try it out and see its value, allowing them to scale up their infrastructure as needed."
"Cloudflare's pricing is not much higher and is good for middle-level organizations."
"A free version of the solution is available."
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"The licensing cost is roughly 90 US dollars per year, per license."
"The pricing is moderate."
