Comprehensive log analysis has improved traffic monitoring and streamlined risk mitigation
Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is a very comprehensive analyzer providing detailed analyzing features and customizable reports. I can get customization and custom reports, and there are many functions available. It is very good for any organization.Log management in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is excellent, as it stores approximately two years of logs. Using Fortinet FortiAnalyzer, I analyze vulnerability risks and threats and sort out problems accordingly. I then create policies and mitigate the risk based on my findings. I have created many customizable reports in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer. I have customized the reports to schedule them and generate reports every day that are sent to my email. I am not using any SIEMs, but Fortinet FortiAnalyzer is the best and looks like a SIEM. I did not integrate Fortinet FortiAnalyzer with any security information and event management solutions. With Fortinet FortiAnalyzer, I have streamlined the process to mitigate risks and save time to get event information on any type of threats, risks, and unwanted traffic. Risk and time are saved, and it is valuable for any organization.

Valuable log segregation aids in auditing, but Windows integration needs enhancement

"The most valuable feature of this solution is the alerting based on the security logs."

Cons

"One thing we struggled with FortiAnalyzer was integration with SIEM."
"I do not recommend Fortinet FortiAnalyzer for bigger companies because it is not scalable enough."
"Software reports are good but should match the dashboard and include top-level output instead of just base or low-level devices."
"The only issue that I can see is with the cost. For example, if you buy support for one year, you are messed up next year. It's better to buy another gateway."
"The pricing could be better."
"The interface or GUI does not work properly on Microsoft Edge. The behavior or the view is different on Microsoft Edge versus on Chrome or Firefox. When some buttons do not work, I am forced to switch to Firefox."
"Feature-wise, it is working very well for us. We don't need any additional features. However, its pricing can be improved. For small business customers, price is an important factor."
"I would like to see an improvement in the technical support. Stronger authentication will also be a plus."
"SolarWinds Kiwi Syslog Server could improve by reducing the price."
"I would like to see a more user-friendly and customizable dashboard."
"I would like to see better search functions and better filters in the next release."
"The Windows log forwarder is not functioning properly."
"SolarWinds pricing is perceived as very high in the market, which can be a barrier for many customers."

"The Windows log forwarder is not functioning properly. This is a significant concern, as it led to losing a deal due to the inability to provide Windows logs effectively."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product's price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The program is expensive."
"It is not very expensive when customers understand the value of this product and the importance of the information that it provides for security."
"The hardware has a one-time cost and maintenance is paid by annual subscription."
"The price is quite expensive. Fortinet products are very expensive. That is something which they should also look at, because if you compare Fortinet product to, say, Sophos for example, Fortinet is really high and that's the only thing which is a drawback for most users."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The pricing model is subscription-based."
"FortiAnalyzer was in the product itself, but two years ago they split it from Fortinet. We paid the license two years ago."
"We subscribe and pay directly on the website."
"The price of SolarWinds Kiwi Syslog Server could improve."
