Provides the ability to send detected malware to Kaspersky's sandbox environment for behavioral analysis
Kaspersky's support team is not that much supportive. If we need any help from them, they do not provide a good solution, and it takes too long to resolve the issue. This is the main thing because some cases are easy and need urgent resolution. However, when we create a support ticket, it takes three days to get it planned, and we have urgent requirements. So, the ticketing process needs improvement.

Provides good reporting features, saves time, and protects endpoints
The setup is very easy. We have deployed the solution on-premise but can also do it on the cloud. It has a cloud functionality. I can push it from the cloud directly to the endpoint, or I can do it via a group policy. The enterprise-wide deployment takes a day. It is very simple. Once the agent is deployed in any subnet, it monitors the network traffic and informs me about endpoints that don't have the agent. I get alerted via a report. If I have a problem, I can manually deploy on those endpoints. The product is set to auto-update. It updates on its own.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's initial setup phase was easy."
"Kaspersky EDR is far superior to other products. It gives detailed information about malware, geolocation, and more. Also, the agent itself is very lightweight compared to other products. The packages and updates were quite small in size, just a few KBs."
"The tool is easy to use."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions is their ability to detect and respond to spam and viruses in their early stages."
"It is a stable solution...It is a very scalable solution."
"Kaspersky EDR offers automated response capabilities, enhancing efficiency by enabling quick investigation and response to potential threats on Android devices."
"From my point of view, one of the best aspects of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is its high detection rate, which surpasses many other solutions. Its valuable features include behavior detection, threat prevention, device control, adaptive anomaly control, and centralized protection detection."
"The product is integrated with endpoint protection. We don't have to implement a separate technology. It provides visibility over the endpoints."
"WatchGuard EPDR improves organization primarily by supporting the IT team rather than the end users directly. It helps IT teams accomplish more with fewer people. One of its standout features is the patch management solution, which allows companies without up-to-date services like WSUS to manage patches for Windows and Linux systems. Additionally, it provides the usual endpoint protection features such as virus and malware protection, application control, and website control."
"I can put tons of load on it."
"The product's most valuable features are the zero-trust application service and its capability to detect threats and attacks."
"The reporting feature is valuable."
"WatchGuard is commendable for its work on threats."

Cons

"Kaspersky is not an XDR solution. With an XDR solution, we could gain some more time."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is expensive. It should improve its stability."
"Incorporating an AI protection tool with the capability to detect and prevent zero-day threats, particularly those with a five-star rating in terms of severity would be beneficial."
"My team was struggling with the reporting when we were doing an audit. The console features are a little more interactive and user-friendly. There's some issue, or maybe some fixing has to be done."
"There are certain shortcomings with the UI of the solution. The UI is not at all user-friendly."
"The product does not detect zero-day threats."
"The main issue was compatibility with the cloud itself. The CPU usage immediately spiked, causing the machines to hang and sometimes even forcing server or computer restarts."
"Kaspersky EDR could be improved by adding network detection capabilities to enhance convenience and security."
"The product is available at a very high price, making it an area where improvements are required."
"The categories in the web filtering should be more comprehensive. When a URL is not categorized, I face issues."
"The AV and scanning features could be a little bit better."
"The categories in the web filtering should be more comprehensive."
"WatchGuard EPDR does have areas for improvement. One significant gap is the lack of a virtual patching feature integrated into the endpoint security. This would be particularly useful for endpoints running operating systems that are no longer supported, such as Windows 7."
