A strong reporting tool with good dashboard functionality, but lacking a configurable UI
We use this solution to create and deploy security packages throughout the network, as well as system analysis reporting This solution has provided us with a single control tool, which allows us to easily provide reports for the different sections of our banking environment. The dashboarding…

Easy to use and offers a plethora of query sources
We primarily use this solution for business reporting This has improved our organization by allowing people to see their data and develop visualizations themselves. The most valuable features of this solution are its ease of use and the plethora of query sources. There is a significant degree…

Offers ease of use, affordability, cloud options, and many open sources,
Our model has used various tools together. It should make sense for them to use these tools in conjunction with RStudio Connect. Currently, they use none or only PSN and a couple of other devices. There should be integration with these tools or the ability to integrate various statistical tools, both open source and proprietary, with RStudio Connect. RStudio Connect should ideally provide an add-on library where modules can be utilized. There's no need to introduce something entirely disconnected but beneficial for statistical modeling. If some popular tools they use, such as Norman or PSF, were bundled and made available as add-ons, it would create a centralized place. This centralized platform would allow individual vendors to ensure compatibility of their products with RStudio Connect and provide them on the marketplace. Customers could then choose these validated additional tools, integrating them seamlessly with RStudio Connect.

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is pretty expensive."
"The licensing costs are a little bit higher for IBM Cognos. I don't think there is any additional cost apart from the licensing charges."
"IBM Cognos is priced reasonable. However, it is more expensive than Power BI and Tableau."
"Pricing should be improved."
"There is some additional licensing that we needed to purchase because we were touching data outside of our core data platform. The cost was approximately $25,000 for the additional licenses, which were approximate 45 licenses. For the application itself, updates, and the core platform it was approximately $50,000. Giving a total cost of $75,000 annually for our usage of IBM Cognos."
"The cost of IBM Cognos it's more or less the same as most of the other solutions on the market. They're very competitive with the rest of the market and it is not the most expensive product."
"It is averagely priced."
"The pricing of this product is meant for medium to large-scale enterprises."
"The solution is free but the Google Looker is expensive."
"The tool is free."
"The product is available for free."
"I think the tool is cheap because you don't need to pay anything for using the tool. However, when connecting and analyzing other data sources, you should consider where to analyze this information because Google Data Studio doesn't handle much data well. You must also consider how you will connect this data to it. In this case, you might need to hire DevOps or a data team to help with these issues."
"The cost is quite affordable based on feature analysis."
