Offers valuable alert features
In my experience, everyone is using Azure or solutions from Microsoft. Word, Excel, and Outlook are present for a majority of companies. There is very little on the Google platform for email. The solution's discussion is more about budget and whether you are going to choose the on-premises or the cloud version. Microsoft is huge and a top-three vendor that really only competes with AWS and maybe Oracle. Certain features like scalability really are not relevant because the company's reputation is more than enough. Age in the market and investments in security are more important. You can rest assured that Microsoft has a particular team dedicated to each feature or issue. They are always improving and always delivering. Certain features of the solution will be valuable based on your role. For example, I am part of the security team so threat management is interesting to me. An an engineer or email team might be more interested in policies, configuration, or the administrative exchange. Nothing is perfect but the solution is very good. When you don't have opponents, it is easier to achieve a good rating. I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Inexpensive, with good email security, but the technical support could be improved
Zix Email Message Privacy is used for mail threat protection. We are a reseller; we sell it to customers, but only about a hundred of them use it. A hundred businesses, not endpoints Today, everyone needs encryption. Zix Email Message Privacy makes encryption easy. They do a better job of…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is scalable."
"It provides security to both on-premises and Azure infrastructures."
"You can use the product to create special accounts."
"We use the solution to receive emails. We do not use the calendar function as our clients are slow adaptors to the latest features."
"The email policy configuration options in Microsoft EOP are satisfactory."
"The product's most valuable feature is third-party integrations."
"We use the solution in all our environments. We use it for remedy tickets and give them updates. It was our main communication point."
"Microsoft Exchange Online Protection has features like DLP (data loss protection), Safe Attachment, and Safe Links."
"They do a better job of determining what's real and what's not than most of the other solutions we have tried, and it's been very painless to use."

Cons

"The reporting needs a little bit of improvement."
"When you're using a Microsoft product solution, you can scale it, but if you're not, there are limitations."
"I would like to get reports about vulnerable connections from our clients with information about domains, public IPs, etc. That would be highly useful."
"The security compliance features need to be improved. Sometimes, a client's mailbox becomes full because of retained information and not because of mail. I would like to see improvement in block rules as well."
"The solution needs to improve its backup."
"The product's end-of-life cycle could be extended."
"Some features, like encryption, are not available."
"The price of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection could be reduced to make it more competitive."
"They have some areas that could be improved. For example, we also use this solution for email encryption, which was clunky and could be improved, but the email security itself has been excellent."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing is excellent."
"The product's pricing is competitive for the US market."
"Online Protection is fairly expensive."
"The solution's pricing is subscription-based rather than a yearly licensing cost. Pricing is based on the size of the environment and company and can be expensive."
"It's a high price."
"Microsoft Exchange Online Protection's pricing is a little bit more because its price has recently increased."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing a six. For licensing, we can make monthly or yearly payments. Right now, we pay 5 USD per month to secure a person's license."
"It is a low-price solution."
"In terms of pricing, I believe they provide excellent value."
