Building tools with user-friendly interfaces abut needs integration improvements
An integration of Copilot options within Microsoft Power Apps would be useful. In UiPath apps, there is an autopilot function that uses a generative AI model, which creates layouts and connects data services automatically with a prompt. Such integration would be beneficial to build basic frameworks that can be enhanced. This would assist business process users who lack coding knowledge.

Low-code platform needs knowledge of coding and best practices to make it work best.
This is not a stable solution. When work has been done on screen A, for example, this has lead to a downfall in screen B. This has occurred even when there appears to be connection between the two. This is mostly happening because developers are not using of are not aware of best practices within platforms. It's like Excel. I can make a lot in Excel, but if my calculations are wrong, it's me that is in the fault, not Excel.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"There are a lot of different applications; you can connect PowerApps, or Flow, or Power BI to many different types of applications to interchange data."
"I like how fast I can develop an application and put it in production with PowerApps. I think the integration is also excellent. The platforms is growing, so they are constantly adding more connectors on all these things."
"Generating reports is very fast with Microsoft PowerApps. It's stable and scalable as well."
"The solution's most valuable feature revolves around its low code capabilities. Coding work is less in the tool."
"We were impressed with the functionality of the solution."
"The platform has valuable features for opportunity and finance management. It has all the essential features for customer service."
"It's a very workable solution because it's an automated way of making applications. You have a template, you have the application know-how,"
"The product has good usability, in terms of low-code applications."
"We use this solution as a customer portal for teachers so they can plan exams for their students. Exams will also be created in the portal in future."

Cons

"We'd like more features and less to no coding."
"Technical support could be faster, and more accurate."
"The solution could improve by having more connectors for different solutions in a way to create custom connectors. Additionally, they should make HTTP Connectors free again because it was not always a premium feature. These HTTP connectors allow you to send API requests which can be important."
"A downside is that Power Apps is primarily designed to work within the Microsoft ecosystem. It’s unsuitable for publishing apps outside the network, so you need additional Microsoft technologies for broader use. While it’s very scalable for simple apps, it's not ideal for large-scale enterprise applications."
"Because we have a lot of data and users, achieving an appropriate level of security and privacy is sometimes difficult, especially for sensitive data."
"Customization is somewhat complicated."
"Microsoft is not cheap. The pricing could be lowered for their customers."
"However, for larger enterprises, the licensing costs for premium connectors can be tricky."
"This solution could be more user-friendly and involve less code. It requires a lot of SQL knowledge and programming. It is not a drag and drop solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not expensive. There is no licensing cost."
"For me, it was free to develop with a professional license, which is about 70 euros a month."
"The enterprise-level costs a great deal of money, and you have to purchase additional licenses to scale it."
"Our enterprise contract with Microsoft Power Apps includes the application feature platform in our subscription package, so we are not incurring any extra expenses. All of our other subscriptions are also part of our license agreement."
"The platform's pricing is reasonable."
"The price of Microsoft PowerApps is reasonable compared to other solutions."
"It is comparable to other similar solutions."
"If we compare Microsoft Power Apps with any on-prem or other Azure solutions, I feel it can be made cheaper."
