We performed a comparison between Pega BPM and SAP Signavio Process Manager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Business Process Management (BPM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The user interface and the ease of developing the workflow for an application are valuable features."
"There are a lot of frameworks in the product. I use Pega PRPC the most."
"The case management is great."
"It cuts down the time taken for coding. Earlier it used take for us four hours to do a particular code. Now this can be done in less than 30 minutes. That's the kind of productivity gains you can get."
"Application development is very rapid. A lot of code gets reused while building the applications, which is something we highly appreciate."
"The workflow designing and integration are the most valuable features. Also, the UI design was pretty easy."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature of Pega BPM is its architecture."
"It's way of handling is really an advantage. It's quite easy to use, without too much training . That's the main point for me."
"It is a stable solution."
"I have done a lot of modeling over quite a number of years, and I think that the modeling capabilities in Signavio are state of the art."
"The GUI is very easy to use, where you can sit together with your colleagues, discuss the process, and during these discussions you can build up the model."
"The most valuable feature is the glossary. It is really nice because all of the information is centralized, and that is a big help to the company."
"Process management/Process governance is what we think Signavio is very good at."
"As a business transformation suite, Signavio offers a number of integrated helpful tools. The Process Modeler helps with the conceptual work, but is directly integrated with the components of the Workflow Accelerator (Automation) and the Process Intelligence (Mining). This makes Signavio an indispensable service package."
"In my opinion, the most valuable feature is the editor and its ease of use, and when people are looking at it, they can make comments about changes that need to be made."
"Pega BPM's documentation should be improved, especially for freshers or new trainees."
"There is a scarcity of resources who have worked with this solution before."
"There have been some performance scalability issues. Suppose you want to add more users. You go from, say, 800 users to 1,500 users, and sometimes that creates issues for which there is no clear explanation. To fix it you have to escalate it with customer service and sometimes the response is not up to the mark in resolving those issues."
"The UI part needs improvement."
"We need more light retail BPM tools within the Pega system. However, Pega is mostly for big companies."
"Lack of stronger cloud support is somewhat inconvenient for users and implementation."
"The cost of licensing could be improved."
"Pega should work on redefining their model and creating a demand for their skills."
"The workflow automation of the solution is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"SAP Signavio Process Manager needs better automatic rendering of data."
"If you're going to use the tool the way I'm using it, which is to work with businesses and capture what they're thinking, it would be helpful to be able to insert other objects onto a diagram."
"We sometimes experience downtime or a dropped connection, so I think that the stability can be improved for the SaaS solution."
"Moreover, the functionality to show different process variations with "views" could be improved to allow more customization of these views. I believe this would increase the user experience and administrative efforts maintaining these process variations."
"I think the intuitive handling is an issue which they should be more focused on, especially as we have issues with the glossary. If you want to implement Signavio within procedures in contact with other software, it's quite difficult to integrate and you will have several points where you have to double and triple the work, because you cannot maintain the data centrally. With other solutions, we can integrate it and have only one data transfer, to import and export with other solutions. A glossary is still limiting us."
"There could be something more on the reporting side of it for the processes you have captured or processes that might be work in progress to see where to target your effort because you don't always have lots of resources to spare"
"I would like to be able to link a single word within a textual description directly to the glossary."
