Good user behavioral analysis and helpful patching but needs better support services
Some of our products have a first and second line owned by us. We are giving support services to the customers instead of the vendor. Some other products are supported directly by the technology vendor, however. Technical support from the vendor is very bad. Usually, when the customer submits a ticket, they put a severity level on the case. Whenever the case is very important, and there is a real malfunction in the product on the customer side, and there is something down that needs someone to have a look immediately, it takes more time than it should to even engage with the customer. When someone has to contact the customer and have a remote session within the customer environment, they sometimes lack in terms of communication with the customer. The support centers are located in the East and not all have an acceptable level of English in order to communicate directly with the customer.

A highly stable solution that protects computers from viruses, spyware, and hackers
ZoneAlarm doesn't require much maintenance. You only need to update the application when there are any latest updates. ZoneAlarm is deployed on-cloud in our organization. With an increase in the bring your own device concept, ZoneAlarm should be part of every device to help us make the operational work very easy. Overall, I rate ZoneAlarm a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is easy to use."
"Threat prevention is valuable because most clients use other solutions like antivirus as part of web protection. I don't find that kind of solution useful."
"When Intel acquired McAfee they worked on the protocol so that all vendors can work on the same platform. It's a very big improvement in McAfee. All McAfee products talk to each other. Other vendor's products can join this platform as well so it makes it more powerful on the enterprise side for McAfee."
"It's easy to use and it's very powerful. It offers nice endpoint protection."
"One valuable feature is Threat Prevention with the on-demand scan."
"The product has a robust reporting feature"
"Trellix Endpoint Security's dashboard is very flexible, and I can create my own user-specific dashboard depending on user privilege or preference."
"The solution is stable."
"This antivirus is regularly updated, and the updates can be scheduled."
"ZoneAlarm protects all computers from viruses, spyware, and hackers."
"The solution really focused on giving more security than an antivirus."
"It is quick and easy to configure."
"It is easy to use through interfaces and easy to configure each of the customizations we created based on the characteristics that we wanted."
"Personally, I find the Game Mode of the Firewall very useful."
"It gives us security for the users' mobiles and ends up protecting us in a significant way."
"The product's most valuable feature is the detection engine due to its ability to identify threats."

Cons

"I've encountered minor challenges related to encryption."
"We don't like the solution since it requires much memory consumption and consumes much CPU resources."
"The solution needs to offer better local technical support."
"Although they have increased the complexity, it has affected the scanning speed."
"It would be a lot easier if I could add multiple user accounts within a single device."
"The solution consumes a lot of end user memory and CPU. Trellix doesn't really focus much on the anti-malware side."
"If there's a possibility for remote assistance or investigation support in the future, it would be beneficial. Currently, we use another remote software for such purposes. If this feature could be included in the next version, that would be an improvement. The feature is called Remote Administration. I'm somewhat satisfied, but there's an issue I recently encountered. When attempting to scan a suspected host machine, Symantec Endpoint Security did not provide any alerts. However, when we installed Malwarebytes and ran a scan, it detected a threat that wasn't identified by Symantec. We raised this concern with the team for resolution, and the investigation is still ongoing."
"Sometimes, while installing the ePO, we were getting so many errors and I don't know why it happened."
"I would like it to be integrated with the Check Point centralization solution like Infinity Portal. It would be great to be able to manage it through the same website."
"They need to update and improve the features available for Mac."
"Perhaps the primary area for potential enhancement is to make it faster, ensuring a more seamless experience while maintaining robust security features."
"The support is not always so effective."
"They should release a single update with all the necessary characteristics to avoid being in a cycle of consecutive updates."
"The solution's efficiency in threat containment and overall protection needs improvement."
"ZoneAlarm should be a light application that does not take too much memory in mobile phones."
"Currently, the client is only available for the Windows Operating System but it would be good if it were released for Mac OS as well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is reasonable, but it could be made free."
"Trellix Endpoint Security is neither a cheap nor an expensive solution."
"It's fairly priced compared to other products on the market."
"The pricing is great and licensing fees are billed on a yearly basis."
"Trellix may cost around $46 to $47 for a single license without an EDR."
"It is not that expensive. There is no additional cost. We got the entire bundle together."
"I am happy with the pricing."
"The price of this product is good."
"This is a freeware product and I recommend using it."
"We use the free version of the software, but it can be upgraded to the paid Extreme Security edition."

"The pricing is reasonable, with a yearly renewal license costing seventy dollars."
