For how long have I used the solution?

I've used the solution for an entire year.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The expandability of the solution can be impacted by the foundational infrastructure. You need to guarantee that your server hardware, storage, and network resources possess the capacity to handle amplified burdens.

How are customer service and support?

We deeply value timely responses to inquiries, whether conveyed through phone, email, chat, or other communication channels.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The intricacy of the initial setup frequently hinges on the distinct configuration demands of your organization. If your file transfer processes are moderately simple, the arrangement may be less convoluted. However, if you possess intricate workflows, integration necessities, or specific security and compliance prerequisites, it can render the arrangement more labyrinthine. Additionally, it is crucial to consider the unique intricacies and idiosyncrasies of your organization's infrastructure and operational procedures when embarking on the setup process.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Prior to assessing pricing or licensing alternatives, delve deep into your organization's demands. Take into account variables such as user count, anticipated data transfer volumes, essential functionalities, and security prerequisites.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked into JSCAPE, IBM Sterling Secure File Transfer, and Axway SecureTransport, as well as other entities. We were confronted with a multitude of choices, each possessing its own unique qualities.

What other advice do I have?

I'd start by ensuring the solution harmonizes with your organization's wider business goals and objectives. It must bolster your strategic endeavors, whether that involves ameliorating data security, streamlining business processes, or augmenting compliance efforts. Additionally, it should be aligned with your long-term vision, empowering your enterprise to flourish and surpass expectations.

User-friendly with strong security features and decent pricing
Pros and Cons
  • "The speed of transferring large datasets is super quick, which allows us to work on multiple tasks at a time."
  • "The GUI has to be enhanced."

What is our primary use case?

Nowadays, since most of the data is either confidential or comprised of large sets of data, it's difficult to trust software that makes all our manual intervention work easy.

I found working with this software quite convenient to use with easy UI and provides high security for data transfers which supports encryption protocols like SSL/TLS, SFTP, et cetera.

It is easily integrated with all servers, which ensures there is no issue working with any higher environments.

As monitoring is a key feature, it provides proper end-to-end updates of file transfers and detailed reporting.

How has it helped my organization?

Many organizations trust and only look for security measures that prevent ethical hacking of data from external sources.

This solution helps a lot by having strong security features, automating repetitive tasks, and simplifying file transfer management - all of which lead to increased efficiency, reduced errors and security risks, and improved compliance.

It is user-friendly. Any new buser can be hands-on without deep learning of any complex IT infrastructure needed.

The speed of transferring large datasets is super quick, which allows us to work on multiple tasks at a time.

What is most valuable?

It has a user-friendly web interface which makes it easy to use for those with limited technical experience.

The service includes strong security features, including support for a range of encryption protocols and key management, as well as its automation capabilities. These aspects can help streamline file transfer processes and reduce the risk of errors.

It supports a range of protocols like STFP and HTTPS, which is a strength for high security.

Integrations with multiple cloud platforms are simple, and all can be handled with a single centralized interface.

What needs improvement?

The ability to have API integrations with multiple platforms still lags. This needs to extended so that we can work with multiple types of software.

The GUI has to be enhanced. It's a bit complicated to work on many features which need assistance and technical expertise.

Customization of rules is not simple. It requires proper support to be effective.

A lack of documentation across a majority of newly released features is needed. These can be quite complex to use, and there is no proper documentation to be followed in order to leverage enhanced task workflows.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've used the solution for two to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The product is highly stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The product is highly scalable. It handles large volumes of file transfers and provides high efficiency.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did previously use a different solution. However, it did not meet the requirements of what work needed to be done. We still had to do manual interventions and there were lags in data transfer which impacted our day-day tasks.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's a good solution and cheap to start with. Any vendors - like small startups or those with limited budgets - would benefit from this solution.

Ensures the delivery has occurred and notifies everyone involved
Pros and Cons
  • "The automation part of JSCAPE by Redwood is great because you can set up a scheduled delivery with files and be notified if the transfer was successful."
  • "JSCAPE ensures data integrity. You know that the file has been transferred and on which date, as we provide timestamps."

What is our primary use case?

We selected JSCAPE because they have a viable product for our network service delivery.

In the medical profession, people need to move files around within the industry. In manufacturing, a lot of data needs to be transferred and recorded. The energy industry is another example, as they have field data that needs to be compiled and stored. These are some of the use cases we would discuss for JSCAPE by Redwood.

What is most valuable?

The automation part of JSCAPE by Redwood is great because you can set up a scheduled delivery with files and be notified if the transfer was successful. This is particularly useful for large file transfers, which can sometimes fail due to corruption. JSCAPE ensures the delivery has occurred and notifies everyone involved. If the delivery fails, you can then take corrective actions.

What needs improvement?

JSCAPE ensures data integrity. You know that the file has been transferred and on which date, as we provide timestamps. We handle cybersecurity ourselves with proprietary technologies for the network as a service. Files can be encrypted as necessary, and we offer point-to-point accelerated private networks. JSCAPE helps us on both the front end and back end.

For how long have I used the solution?

We provide our network services, and we use third-party products such as JSCAPE for managed file transfers and process automation.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the solution’s stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution’s scalability is very good.

I rate the solution’s scalability an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support was very responsive.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is pretty straightforward and quick. A single person could do the installation, but if you do it across multiple locations, you must organize accordingly. We typically have a small team that handles that. You don't need extensive experience to install it.

I rate the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.

What other advice do I have?

If there's a software update, we suggest users update because of specific bug fixes. However, it's pretty straightforward; they can choose whether or not to install it.

If you've millions of dollars to spend on IBM, Juniper, and Cisco equipment, they will fit in, but for those looking to implement less expensive solutions and minimize costs, JSCAPE is a perfect fit.

It allows you to implement quickly and reasonably, making it affordable to establish an automation solution if desired."

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
