The most valuable feature is the collaboration with other teams. It allows me to see an overview of the entire project, helping to estimate how much time and effort I have to dedicate to specific sections. The risk management feature is one that I find very good. Right from the initial steps, we found this product easy to use. The logging features are good.

Their support team should provide the answers fast because it impacts our daily operations. We use the app every day. We have about 70 projects managed in the app, but their responses are too slow. They can take three or four days to analyze a problem. We have a connection-related problem, which is impacting our daily operations, but we have had the same status for the last two months. It is not easy. The deployment of the application and its functionalities are not easy. It is a complex process to create accounts, names, and catalogs. There should be more operational reports. They have a set of internal reports, but they can't be customized. You don't have the permissions to configure your own reports, which is a very big issue. Currently, you have to ask for permission in order to configure simple filters. You have to ask a third party to configure it. It is expensive, and it also takes a lot of time.

I would give Projectplace's ability for working with detailed implementation plans for projects a seven out of ten. Projectplace has one feature that is missing called Baseline. Baseline is when you can capture a committed date and freeze it. And then when you're starting your project you can keep changing the dates. We don't have a Baseline date, so it's not very robust. We have to sync the project schedule to Planview Enterprise One and set the baseline in Enterprise One which is not very useful. I would prefer it if the Baseline feature was available inside of Projectplace itself. As for Projectplace, it is very simple to use. Planning is very simple and straightforward with Projectplace. But I wish Projectplace's plan could work more like Microsoft Project for the web. The way they handle the connection is much easier. They should also improve the interface. There are other competitors like Microsoft Project for the web, Wrike, and Teams, who have a way better, modern user interface. We can't do financial management in Projectplace. Financial management cannot be done on Projectplace but it also can't be done on Project for the web.

"In terms of what could be improved in Planview Projectplace, it would depend on the purpose, because if you talk about resource planning, from my perspective, it's not the best tool. It would also depend on the company itself, for example, I've been working with another company and Planview Projectplace was needed more for workload and resource planning purposes, and I don't think the solution covered those purposes well. Its resource planning and workload functions need improvement."

"Planview is a resource management and project management system. Projectplace allows you to create boards and associate some of Planview's work breakdown structure as a top-level tree under which you can place cards, but there are many limitations because when you make a change in Planview, it is reflected in Projectplace. However, except for a few specific things, changes made in Projectplace are not ported back to Planview. At this point, they're two completely different products. The flaw is that there is very little integration between the two."
