We are using this solution for running personal applications.
Most of our users have it installed on their laptops and desktops.
We are using this solution for running personal applications.
Most of our users have it installed on their laptops and desktops.
It is easy to install and has good information.
The interface could be more user-friendly.
I have been using Windows 10 for three years.
We are using the latest version.
The technical support is good.
Previously, I used Windows 7.
It's easy to install.
It can be deployed in 20 or 30 minutes.
I completed the installation myself.
I would recommend this solution to others.
I would rate Windows 10 a ten out of ten.
We primarily use the solution for running our applications.
For basic use, the solution is very stable and the performance is good.
It's a product that is easy to use.
The initial setup is pretty simple.
While the stability is okay, it could always be better.
The product needs to be able to scale a bit more effectively.
I've been using the solution for a couple of years.
The product is very stable. It doesn't crash or freeze. There are no bugs or glitches. It's reliable and the performance is good.
The scalability needs to be better.
I'm not sure how many people are using the solution in our organization at this time. It's somewhere between a hundred and a thousand.
I've been in touch with technical support and find them to be decent. I have no complaints.
The installation process is very straightforward. It's not difficult or complex. It's very easy.
I've done a few deployments at this point. I'm pretty comfortable with the process.
I cannot recall how long the deployment takes, however.
I do not pay for a full license.
I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. It's good for basic use.
I'm more of a Mac user and therefore don't really prefer Windows 10, although it's not a bad product.
I use it mainly for development and also for teaching and training.
The best thing is that all are using it and that there are some applications like Power BI that are only in Windows and not in any other environment.
It is easy to install and is stable as well.
We have a lot of different hardware that has to communicate, and sometimes, the Windows drivers get overloaded.
So, the performance could be better.
I've been using it for about two years.
During these past two years, Windows has crashed only once on my computer.
I use Ubuntu Linux on my own computer.
It was easy to install Windows 10. It did take quite long, about five hours, because a lot of data had to be downloaded, and several reboots were needed.
I installed it myself.
I have a corporate license.
Because it's very good, I would rate Windows 10 at nine on a scale from one to ten.
I'm using the oldest development environment for business informatics. So, for those not interested in gaming or in graphic design, especially for all business users, I strongly recommend Windows 10.
I primarily use the solution for connecting to my remote machine, to the VPN, to my work network. That's the main purpose. I also use it for applications such as Microsoft Word or for accessing YouTube and items of that nature.
The UI of the solution has not changed drastically over the years, and therefore, it's easy to get used to the solution if you've used earlier versions of Windows. It's user-friendly in that sense.
Online technical support is helpful. There's a lot of documentation.
I notice a lot of latency in Windows 10. Sometimes it slows down things. If I use a virtualized environment and if I run Windows 10, it's definitely slow, even on my personal computer, if it is not SSD. The performance could be much better.
Built into the solution is Windows Defender, which is in all the recent versions of the Windows operating system, however, we still end up buying an extra antivirus product in the market to ensure we are secure. Windows Defender should be enhanced and compete with the market with other antivirus products so that it comes as part of the operating system and actually offers very good protection.
Native apps such as, for example, Windows Notepad, which is a basic feature provided by Windows over the last 24 years, have had no enhancement at all. If you try to play around with some data or put it in a Notepad note, it still is quite difficult to use. You need to pay for Notepad++ or some TextPad, or some other application tool to get some actual usability.
I've been using the solution for a couple of years at this point. It's been a while.
The performance needs improvement. It can be a bit slow. It takes time to render things. In comparison, Mac renders items very quickly.
I've used online tech support in the past. It depends on the case. In a few cases, it is informative and in a few cases, it is not. What I notice is that if I am using Windows, from Windows 95 onwards, if I recollect it correctly. As an end-user, there isn't too much of a drastic change in how it works, and as I've used it for 24 years or so, I have every good understanding of the product.
I started using Windows since Windows 95. Before that, I likely used DOS.
I was not a part of the installation process. I got the hardware with the Windows 10 already installed on it. Therefore, I can't speak to the process or how long it takes to deploy.
My understanding is that the license was paid for upfront with the laptop. I can't speak to the exact cost as I just have it on my laptop, and it came already installed and ready to go.
I did not evaluate other options before choosing this product.
I'm a customer and an end-user.
I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. It's an okay product, however, there are areas for improvement, specifically if you look at the performance.
That said, I would recommend the solution to other users.
I'm a manager of data center facilities and we are customers of Microsoft.
This solution is very user friendly and reliable.
I'd like to see less restrictions on the use so it would be easier to use and manage.
I've been using this product for over 10 years.
The initial setup is pretty straightforward. It's pushed down from the server, so it's usually quite fast. The deployment is done in-house and we have around 10,000 users.
I rate this solution an eight out of 10.
I use the solution for my own work outside of my company for many purposes, such as program testing, development of applications, and email.
Microsoft Windows 10 is the most supportive operating system that you can find. Everything can run on it.
In an upcoming release, I would like the Windows files themselves to be able to be adjusted in a way they are not as easy to open or access. There are times when you can make a simple mistake in a Windows file and the whole operating system could become corrupted, the files should be more secure.
I have been using this solution for approximately 10 years.
The solution is stable but the previous versions were not, such as Windows 8.
There are many versions of this solution, such as Home and Professional, that provide different levels of scalability. However, if you would like even more scalability there is Windows Server.
The installation is very easy. If you have a decent CPU the installation should only take approximately one hour.
I did the implementation myself.
There is a license for this solution and it is a one-time purchase.
I would recommend this solution to others.
I rate Windows 10 a nine out of ten.
I primarily use the solution for work purposes.
From a technical perspective, it's very good.
The customization of the solution is easy.
I'm not sure of any shortcomings with the solution, however, I myself am not very technical.
It would be ideal if the solution itself was less technical so a person like myself could more easily access it and understand it.
I've been using the solution for five years at this point.
The stability of the solution is very good. We don't have issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's good and reliable.
The solution can scale well. If a company needs to scale it, it should be able to do so without a problem.
We have about ten people using the product currently.
I've never directly contacted technical support, therefore, I can't speak to their level of knowledge or responsiveness.
It's my understanding that the initial setup is not straightforward. It's a bit difficult.
If I recall correctly, the deployment process took about two weeks.
We're a seller of Microsoft and we also use the product as well. In our country, one of the main products is Microsoft and many businesses use it.
I don't really have enough experience to really make a strong recommendation for the solution.
Overall, I would rate the solution six out of ten. We don't use it so much.
Application Start control, of course, but the refresh and deployment was beneficial to our global efforts. Lot of accounting types in organisation. AZURE AD subscriber has updates within product. Compliance to ECCN/CCAT (exporting), NIST, ISO, IEEE; quick and efficient closure. Abandon IE, Mozilla (e.g.Chrome, FireFox); settle with EDGE was challenging and big adjustment. This put a scope (pre-assessment) on those applications unready or behind in development efforts, devops pre-scanning had to be deployed. Long 10 months and rework in devops, set SDLC with some suppliers to perform or loose, sign-offs on setting on virtual site (i.e. closed to desktops by policy).
Project include 2016 Office 365 Products, and fresh start.
Reduction of security incident events and mundane tasks in 3 months.
Lots of updates, but not lots of production.
We've had no issues with deployment.
It requires a lot of updates in order to be stable.
We've had no issues with scalability.
