I haven't implemented the solution's automation capabilities. The most automation I have done in Fortinet FortiManager is a configuration to be deployed massively to a group of UTMs, access points, or switches. I would recommend the solution to other users. It would be great to have FortiManager by your side if everything you have is from Fortinet. As the platform tracks every change we make, it helps me with compliance and also helps me maintain all the devices at the same firmware level. It helps with compliance and auditing. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
I would rate Fortinet FortiManager 8 out of 10. I recommend it but be aware that Fortinet firewalls managed by FortiManager may require weekly updates due to known bugs on the Fortinet servers.
I would rate Fortinet FortiManager 8 out of 10. I've been working with Fortinet firewalls for over ten years now. Everything works consistently well, including the hardware, software, operating system, and all the features. They're easy to configure, and using firewalls together with FortiManager for central administration and monitoring of all our devices makes everything much simpler. I recommend Fortinet FortiManager because you can administer the firewalls from one tool.
I work as a reseller. I'd advise the solution to users that have a big organization and if they are using Fortigate Firewalls, It helps centralize anything. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. They have so many features. It's very feature-rich. From one central location, you can monitor everything.

I'd advise others to use it. It's a powerful tool. It makes managing multiple Fortinet products very easy. You can tie in FortiSwitches, Fortigates, et cetera, and gain one central point of management with great reporting functionality. I'd rate the solution an eight out of ten. It's best of breed and always on the cutting edge of security technologies. they keep abreast of upcoming trends and emerging technologies.

We are customers and end users. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. We are using the latest version of the solution. We have a large setup for managing multiple Fortigates, et cetera. You get what you pay for, and it gives us all of the features and functionality we need. If a company has basic requirements, it might be better off with a PfSense. I'd recommend the solution to others. For the number of features you get, the pricing is pretty great.
I'm an end-user. We are using the latest version of the solution. I'd recommend the solution to other users. I would rate the product eight out of ten.
I give the solution an eight out of ten. I would highly recommend FortiManager; in my experience, it is much simpler than any other central management solution I have seen. FortiManager is user-friendly, straightforward, and works incredibly well. Pushing policies and other tasks is made incredibly easy and uncomplicated.
It is important to select the features you need at the outset. Some customers don't do this correctly so their hardware doesn't perform as well. Take into account the applications you want to run on the solution when selecting features. I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
The solution is used widely and is good for small or medium-sized enterprises. It can be scaled further for larger enterprises. I recommend the solution and rate it a seven out of ten.

We had average security knowledge about management, and we started with a demo project. It was from Fortigate Support. They gave me two or three months free to try out FortiManager. I'd advise people to take the time to test it and see how it works. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
I'm a consultant and I work with Fortinet solutions. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. It's been good overall. We've been pleased with its capabilities.
We are Fortinet partners at this moment. I'm not sure of the exact version we are on. I'm more on the sales side. We manage from Spain many firewalls around the world, and at this moment, it's very necessary to have FortiManager. It's just too bad we can't manage other vendors. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. I'd rate it higher if it offered more outside-brand integrations.

There was a solution we used last 2021. We implemented Fortinet, and it was the major project we were dealing with at the time. We used everything from Fortinet, e.g. analytics management, logs, etc. It was only Fortinet we implemented, and not any other solution. We implemented Fortinet FortiManager for orchestration and management, then for the loads, we implemented Fortinet FortiAnalyzer. For firewalls, we have 4800F and 60F. We've implemented them in multiple sites, so those were the main components. During the implementation, I jumped between versions and did some upgrades, because with Fortinet, there are new versions that only work for short periods, so I had to upgrade the version multiple times during the implementation. The deployment for Fortinet FortiManager was via a virtual machine, and it was on private cloud. We used the customer infrastructure to implement and install Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, so that particular cloud was owned by the customer, so there's no cloud provider for that. We have 500 users of this solution. It was a medium-sized project. I didn't see anything missing on Fortinet FortiManager. I like it the way it is. I'm happy with it, so I can't think of anything they should add in terms of features. I would give Fortinet FortiManager the highest score because even a junior can implement it. It does not require too much knowledge or scale to implement a project, so I'm rating it a ten out of ten.

I encourage the use of this solution. It is very good because they make it easy to manage the environment. I rate Fortinet FortiManager a nine out of ten.
The solution is good but we want to move to the cloud at some point to save money on infrastructure. For example, on the cloud, we would not need a server room or data center building. I would recommend this solution to others. I rate Fortinet FortiManager a ten out of ten.

Currently, it is fulfilling our requirements. We don't have any immediate plans to change, and we don't have any expansion possibility as such, because there is no expansion in our environment. It is everyone's own choice what they want in their environment and what they want to prioritize. Because I have some reservations, I would rate Fortinet FortiManager a seven out of ten.

In general, I have no serious concerns about this product so I have no problems recommending it. It has all of the features that I need, as far as I'm concerned. Certainly, there's nothing that would cause me to suggest that people not use it. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Overall, I find that this is a good solution and it gives me everything that I want. I would recommend it and people should definitely try it. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I would rate it a nine out of ten. It does not make much sense if you only have one FortiGate. If you have multiple devices and you can share some kind of templates or configuration template for security rules then this is a product you should use. In the next release, there should be a little bit better of a deployment for applications that should also be relevant for mobile phones.

In terms of deployment options, it has a lot of options for enterprise-level organizations such as telcos and banks. Overall, I think that this product is okay. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
It's a good solution if the customer has all Fortinet products. The advantage of Fortinet is that if you have all their products - FortiGate or FortiSwitch or FortiController, FortiWeb, FortiClient, it's an integrated solution but if you have only Fortinet Switch, it's no more interesting than Cisco. I would rate this product an eight out of 10.

You have to plan everything with very specific details before deploying the FortiManager, otherwise, it will be complex. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
My advice to anybody who is researching this product is that it is quite easy to use and the learning curve is not steep. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
FortiManager is for the syncing of devices. Therefore, when companies are using multiple devices from Fortinet, such as FortiGate, FortiSwitches, FortiAP, etc., then it's required to have FortiManager. That way, companies can manage central lines in all of the devices via a single person. It's a very useful application. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten. It's got all of the features we need to manage our FortiGate products and doesn't seem to be lacking anything. It does exactly what we need it to do and we find it quite easy to use. We're a Fortinet distributor. My clients are the ones that actually use the product. Most of our clients are SMEs or large businesses. This solution, however, is more suited to large and medium-sized businesses.
My advice to other people considering this solution is that they have to read about the product and they have to make an effort to pass the NSE 5 (Network Security Analyst) certification. It is for FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager products. Fortinet NSE 4 (Network Security Professional) certification talks about FortiGate and prepares your solution in a global sense. It is also very good to have. The main certification to have in my opinion is to pass the NSE 7 (Network Security Architect) certification because it talks about what I think is the negative part of Fortinet products, the troubleshooting. So my advice is that it is very important to pass the minimum of these three certifications to manage the solution with some level of expertise. On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate FortiManager as an eight. Additional features I would like to see included in the next release of FortiManager to make it a nine or a ten is to be compatible with the management of other products like not just FortiGate. For example, it might work with FortiExtender.
I recommend FortiManager if you have more than FortiGate firewalls or more Fortinet products. In terms of users of the solution, our clients are between medium and enterprise in scope.
Fortinet FortiManager is used for centralized management of FortiGate firewalls, utilizing zero-touch deployment techniques to optimize configuration and deployment, reducing installation time and errors while improving network security and efficiency.By centralizing policy management and monitoring across devices and locations, Fortinet FortiManager enhances security and operational efficiency. Automation tools simplify management, control, and consistent configuration across environments....
