Organizations of all sizes, especially those who are in need of powerful and elastic cloud data warehouse solutions that can help administrators maximize the efficiency of their data-based operations, seek to find a way to effectively store and manage their data. Our organization feels that IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud is a cloud data warehouse solution that is worth serious consideration. We are impressed by its capabilities and find it likely that others who seriously investigate it will feel similarly.
IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud does have some drawbacks: We find its purchase price to be on the high side of what we had expected. We also feel that its analytic capabilities could be improved. It can sometimes be difficult to find stored data. Despite these drawbacks, we still think that it is a very solid solution.
The many features that IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud made available to us are impressive and should factor into any conversation about the value that it brings to an organization. Some of the most useful features that really caught our attention are:
Autonomous data warehouse management. IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud enables us to automate just about every aspect of the day-to-day operation of our data warehouses. Instead of requiring us to devote time and resources to administrative tasks, IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud lets us simply focus on our data.
Elastic scaling. We don’t always know what our data storage needs are going to be at a given time. IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud makes it easy for us to quickly scale our data warehouses so that they meet our current needs.
AI and ML. We are able to use AI to run our data through a variety of models and gain insights. This can help us gain a high level of value from our data.
I would rate IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud 8 out of 10.
I recommend IBM because it provides documentation and knowledge transfer, unlike Teradata. IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud is viewed positively compared to Oracle and SQL Server. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
