I would rate the pricing as seven out of ten. Sometimes, for specific models, additional licenses over the standard one need to be purchased. F5 Advanced WAF doesn't offer a single license that fits all use cases; the user needs to choose the license format. A structured license is usually preferred for F5 Advanced WAF.
F5 Advanced WAF is not a cost-effective solution. Although they are attempting to reduce prices with their VE and cloud options, they are more expensive than other solutions. The solution is more expensive on average. If you are interested in F5 Advanced WAF, it is billed on a yearly basis and based on the number of requests for the service. For example, if you purchase 200 megabytes, there is specific pricing for that capacity. Every year, we will renew the service and provide support for the solution. F5 Advanced WAF does not offer local support services unless the customer is discussing it with a vendor or partner. These services are typically provided by other partners. F5 Advanced WAF could improve in two main areas: pricing and partnerships. The current pricing of F5 Advanced WAF can be quite high, and while they do offer options like the VE or infrastructure service, they could make further efforts to make their solutions more affordable for everyone. I rate the price of F5 Advanced WAF an eight out of ten.

As far as the pricing of F5 Advanced WAF I would rate it a four out of five depending on what features I am looking for. Imperva is more expensive. The price has remained consistent at a constant rate. There have not been any increases or any unforeseen increases when we're renewing our license. The price is fixed.

Pricing for this solution is higher than average in the market, when compared to its competitors. They should revise their prices in the market. There is no additional cost besides the licensing, and it will also depend on the service delivery model: VM-based or hardware-based. The licensing model, however, is similar among all the vendors.

Its price is fair. We have done a couple of deals where they were able to give some kind of discount to the customers. The price was initially high for the customers, but after a couple of negotiations, it came within their budget. They were happy with that.

F5's licensing varies. I do not know exactly what the individual WAF component costs because they bundle up services and the bundle is what I pay for. I do not pay for individual components.
I think it's a good product but the F5 uses shells, so the people who want to work with the device have to be pro in Linux. If they can put everything in the UI so every regular security engineer can work with it, it's fabulous.
F5 Advanced WAF is a web application security solution for financial and government sectors, e-commerce, and public-facing websites. It offers protection against various attacks, including botnets, web scraping, and foreign entities. The solution can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud and is often used with other security tools. Its most valuable features include DDoS and DNS attack protection, SSL uploading, anomaly detection, and the ability to input custom rules.
