As for the current licensing and payment structure, it's almost pay-as-you-go. Monthly is okay. But maybe we'll get a better price if we have a long-term contract and pay monthly.

In Microsoft Azure File Storage we only pay for what we use. We don't have to pay for what we are expecting to use or what we are locating, we only pay for what we are using. This is the advantage of the cloud. One of the major benefits for AWS is that they have a very large customer representative base where clients can be picked from, they offer large discounts and credit. We were not able to receive the same kind of offers from Microsoft Azure File Storage. We tried to approach Azure while hiring for our disaster recovery discussion, but we didn't receive anything from Azure. If we use a Microsoft Windows computer we will have to pay additional fees for the license for Microsoft Windows. I rate the price of Microsoft Azure File Storage a five out of five.

For one terabyte of data, we are spending about 150 Euro every month; but we are using the solution at a basic level with standard storage (HDDs and not SDDs). It has been difficult to understand the real cost besides the solution, In my oppinion costs are not fully transparent.

The pricing is okay, however, it's quite a bit higher compared to AWS. You only pay for storage. However, if you think you might need support, and you want better support options, you may need to pay for the premium Microsoft support services.

The price could be reduced. The tiered pricing model is good. The solution is a bit pricey compared to AWS and Google. We pay as we use.

The pricing is a little bit hard to determine. I never know how much it's going to cost me in advance, only after the fact.
