The solution's pricing is too high. On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing nine and a half out of ten.
There are certain challenges related to the license management system in place. It comes with a high cost. An annual price is around four thousand five hundred plus per user, whereas UiPath is only three thousand UAN rate hundred per user per year.
SmartBear TestComplete is an expensive tool. The licensing fees attached to the solution can be considered as expensive. In the AI era, SmartBear TestComplete charges a lot of money from its users for the automation functionalities it provides. In the future, my company plans to use Selenium and stop the use of SmartBear TestComplete.
TestComplete has a platform, and then you have to buy modules. Overall, for us, the cost of the TestComplete platform and the three extra modules is around $8,000.
While it's my understanding that clients don't seem bothered by the pricing, I can't speak to the actual cost of the product. That said, it is, as far as I know, competitive in the market.

The price of SmartBear TestComplete could be less. The main challenge is when it comes to node-locked. They should use a subscription model, such as a monthly-based subscription or, a quarterly-based subscription. Their floating license is very expensive, and this high price should be reduced or provide, at a minimum, a subscription model.
TestComplete now have come up with three modules (Web, Desktop & Mobile), so based on the type of product for automation, it is adequate to purchase the required module. Node-locked and floating license are available which could be decided based on the team composition and work strategy. Current license pricing is available at smartbear.com
